I‘ve realized I haven’t set any of my yellow stones yet. I’d love to see how you’ve all set yours for inspiration!
Thanks in advance :)

Yellow beryl. White gold bezel and shoulder inserts, rest 18K yellow:

The bigger chrysoberyl is green-yellow rather than true yellow, but the concept is similar:

I love your choice to use mixed metals! The bigger chrysoberyl setting reminds me of a two-tone Rolex watch band. Gorgeous pieces!

Chrysoberyl that belongs to my sister now

These are so beautiful! Your sister is very lucky to have the split shank chrysoberyl piece! I love the use of varying tones on your yellow diamond ring!

Omg your FCD ring is fab! Is there a thread somewhere about it? I love it!

Hallo!

So many many many years ago!

Disclaimer: I said I love white diamonds but I don't anymore! They are only useful as melee for me now! I went full blown coloured stones sometime after that ring!

Yellow sapphire:

This is gorgeous and I love that it’s a ring or a pendant! The yellow gold framing the center stone looks so elegant!

My Mali garnet in a preowned setting.

This is a beautiful ring! I’m loving the look of yellow gold with yellow stones. I remember when you were trying to decide which stone to set put in this setting and you made the perfect choice!

Aww thank you. I’m happy with it and it’s a cheerful ring that goes with anything.

Yellow zircon in 18kyg and plat bezel. Ultimately think I prefer the yg right next to the stone though.

This looks gorgeous with the white bezel surrounding your yelllow zircon! I love the contrast of white against yellow and the milgrain looks flawless!

I‘ve only got the one. A yellow sapphire set into a white gold floral ring.

Your ring is so beautiful! The sunflower yellow works perfectly in your setting!

Omg gorgeous! I should have known it's DBL. I love David's stuff..all my FCD rings are from him.

Beautiful rings and stones! The use of mixed metals look amazing with yellow stones! I’m definitely going to try to do that when I set one of mine. Are your stones both chrysoberyl? They’re so bright!

I have 2 FLY diamond rings.

Gorgeous rings! I hadn’t thought about buying a yellow diamond when I started this thread, but now I must have one! Yours are beautiful

I've locked away most of my pretty rings, but I think the yellow ones are all in this photo from before. The rectangular yellow beryl is in the top row set art deco geometric style, and a yellow sphene is set into a sunflower trying with demantoid garnet for sidestones. In the second from top row I've got a yellow kornerupine as a lower wing of my butterfly cluster ring, and a yellow chrysoberyl set in the center of Yvonne Raley's large flower cocktail ring. I also have yellow diamond melee gems sprinkled into the design of three other rings. I just love saturated yellows, and if someday I came across other saturated yellow melee gems from other species, I'm open to using other melee gems besides diamonds.

Can you share with us your unset yellow gems?

The citrine (emerald cut) came in that setting, I love it with the yg.

The tourmaline is big and in your face but I think the double tiny halo sets it off nicely.

Your yellows are beautiful and the settings are perfect for the stones! Do you have a thread for the yellow tourmaline ring? I love the shape of the double halo and would love to see more pictures :))

You have a gorgeous collection! :kiss2: Thank you for sharing! It must be hard to lock them away..Hopefully you still take them out to play occasionally :)).
I don’t have a picture of my yellow gems together, but I’ll take one and share it tomorrow!

In case you haven’t seen this one before lol!

This is so gorgeous! I love the combination of milgraining, engraving and mixed metals in your ring design! They are the perfect complement to your beautiful center stone.

I was looking for a yellow gemstone, and was hemming and hawing over some yellow sapphires that my usual jeweller had. But when I left his store, I saw a little canary diamond in my favourite pear cut in a neighbouring storefront and fell in love! It’s not the biggest stone but I love the colour and sparkle!

Here’s my little drop of sunshine - 0.34 carat, VVS2, fancy yellow, set in white gold.

I love the color of your diamond! I’m going to find a local jeweler that has yellow diamonds so I can see one in person. They look beautiful!

@voce I took a picture of my favorite yellows, but they look a little different in person since my iPhone has washed their colors out. Try to ignore the fuzzies the black velvet box I keep the jars in sheds on to the white jar cushions. I don’t see them in person, but they are everywhere in pictures! :lol:0F83FA5B-619C-48DA-98C0-E28852F522DE.jpegThe top left is a grossular garnet and the other two are chrysoberyl. I’m leaning towards setting the top right Chrysoberyl first. I think it’s cut and color look best when placed east-west, so I’ll have to step outside of my comfort zone of setting stones north-south and try something new :))
