So many beauties on here! My goodness!!! I am trying to find my perfect OEC, 2-3 carats set in a simple plat. setting. Any suggestions on vendors?

Will also have to post some of my vintage pieces later ; )

Old World Diamonds and Alex Park of Parks fine group, both sell loose oec as well as set stones.

As promised :) My recently-sourced sapphire, set in a 1960's (I believe) platinum setting.
I love that setting and the sapphire is beautiful. The ring looks spectacular with the hydrangeas, too (one of my favorite flowers). Nice glamour shot!

This is a reproduction piece, 18K WG and rubies. The center is about .40 and is a newly cut transitional cut. Love this ring.

A major find at my local high end pawn, estate place. Think it’s a very late period die cast ring as best as we can tell. 14WG and the small diamonds in the shields are open culets. The gemologist at the shop doesn’t think it’s newly made but for the price, who cares?

Here’s mine I’m a newbie but here is my antique orange diamond ring. I don’t know the specs but I know diamond is in between .30 or .40 I love it! From the design of the ring itself I believe is from the 20s-40s. The diamond cut is an old modern brilliant, small curry can be seen sometimes but noticeable from viewing from the bottom.

Here is one of our latest antique vintage rings.

I just bought this from Alex at Parks Fine Group. It’s a 100-yr-old OMC. I always wanted one in lower color with strong blue fluorescent and this diamond gives me everything that I want and then some.

OMC
3.02 ct
Q-R SI1 eye clean
GIA certified

The pictures don’t do it justice.

Here’s Alex’s video on Instagram:

Ruby surrounded by really rough cut natural diamonds, which are set in silver, the rest of the ring is in18k. My dad bought this for my mom in 1981 in northern Italy. Unfortunately, it’s missing one of the diamonds. I’m considering having it reset, but am hesitant.

You all have such a lovely collection of jewelry. I'm a jewelry lover and I bought my engagement ring from Freshtrends. Freshtrends have a huge collection of jewelry from freshtrends body jewelry Thanks. vertical-labret-piercing_1024x1024 (1).jpg

Why do i have the feeling you're only here to promote them? All two posts you posted, you have mention them.
I could be wrong ofcourse.

@Ra2nl - I agree. Especially given that the post was completely unrelated to the subject matter of the thread.

I'm always glad when something arrives and actually looks like sellers photo! A 9k and silver amethyst art deco era halo. (From minxyvintage on IG).

thats lovelly
congratulations on such a great find

I've had this diamond and Platinum ring 40 years.(it came from a pawn shop) I just recently learned, because of the way it's stamped, that it's probably much older than I thought. The stamp reads '10% irid plat'. I read (and others here at PS concurred) that means it dates from 1890s to 1930s. I just can't narrow the era or the style down. Anybody have any ideas? I've looked for a similar one but haven't seen anything like it. I've seen rings with the center motif, but not with the 2 'flowers' on either side. It's super sparkly, and I'm thrilled to learn that I may have an antique piece.IMG_20190815_211915.jpg

Unfortunately, this is the second time a diamond has fallen out. Because they are set in silver, it is tarnished and really hard to keep looking clean. I never wear it, but if it was reset, I probably would!

what about repurposing the remaining diamonds and replace them in this lovelly ring with diamond 'alturitives' or another gemstone entirely for a new look
its just taken my eye and i feel sorry for it languishing in the bottom of your jewlery box because its just so pretty

i believe the trick with silver is to wear it and then it doesn't tarnish

I'm excited to be able to share my Victorian belcher setting engagement ring from an online antique/vintage vendor whose site and Instagram I love to lurk on. It's going to be a challenge finding a wedding ring to go with it, but I'm enjoying it solo for now! I'll include my own picture and pro photo from the website to show the finer details.
