@Mreader I LOVE your OEC! It's beautiful - do you have a thread or more pics
I love your little mermaid! As I recall, she's sterling
She appears to be a diamond worshipper, like the rest of us!
She is marked for sterling, good memory! Fun fact, I got her at the same time I bought your diamond ring
Beautiful rings!
I picked this up for a song from a jeweler I love — mostly with the intention of having the stones, because the Victorian setting isn’t everyone’s cup of tea!
Now that it’s here I’m surprised how much I love wearing it. It’s really comfortable and well crafted. I’m also enjoying the juxtaposition of colors between the rubies and the sapphire, which I didn’t expect!
Aww, thank you @cushioncutnut ! It’s my first vintage/antique/repro piece and it’s currently at the jeweller’s for resizing, so I can’t yet confirm its blinginess. But fingers crossed, you are right! The vendor is estimating it will be back early next week.
It’s also my first 5-stone so I hope I get on with the style.
Top ring is a new eBay find. The band belonged to my Great Grandma. I'm a dental hygienist so with gloves I prefer not to wear my engagement ring at work. This pretty has a much lower profile so I can wear to work daily.
What a lovely ring to go with your great-gma's band. They go great together! Do you have any specs on the ring you could share?
Here's the listing description. I need it sized down 1.25 sizes so I'm curious on my jeweler's opinion as well. Lucky for me little fingers make everything look bigger. Here's one of the listing photos for the center stone cut
Offered here is this victorian 14k gold old mine cut diamond promise pre engagement ring. The beautiful center diamond measures 3.2mm. The 4 diamonds on the side measure 1mm. All diamonds total 1/4ctw and exhibit SI2-I1 in clarity by H-I-J in color, as graded by our gemologist. The ring has a band width of 1.1mm and is a size 5.75.
Oh my goodness. My jaw literally dropped!
