Show us your Antique/Vintage and Reproduction Rings!

Impromptu photo shoot after coffee this morning.

That little rabbit was a gift from the husband almost 14 years ago from the hospital gift shop after the birth of our son.

I love your little mermaid! As I recall, she's sterling :kiss2:
She appears to be a diamond worshipper, like the rest of us!

She is marked for sterling, good memory! Fun fact, I got her at the same time I bought your diamond ring ;)

I guess I will go ahead and post the reproduction since I pulled it out this morning for help with id'ing the type of diamond it has.

And one of my favorites. Also repro but with an OMC. The facet pattern is not as crisp as I would like but there was originally a rose cut in the center and I had a heck of a time finding one to fit.

Gorgeous!!

Beautiful rings!

I picked this up for a song from a jeweler I love — mostly with the intention of having the stones, because the Victorian setting isn’t everyone’s cup of tea!

Now that it’s here I’m surprised how much I love wearing it. It’s really comfortable and well crafted. I’m also enjoying the juxtaposition of colors between the rubies and the sapphire, which I didn’t expect!25A00BCD-AB13-4908-AA00-E039B0D92A3A.jpeg7F417674-0DE6-4C81-A955-29A1D8B7E9EC.jpeg

This just sings to me! I adore the blue and red...with the white it is a very patriotic ring. The Brits are big on that....=)2

I’m new here, so thanks for letting me share! I‘m excited about this 5-stone with a flowery platinum setting0409C907-6990-4639-BEBF-A49DC1AF949D.jpegFCA40A2D-AE0D-475F-87F8-E00373246C60.jpeg449904CE-5599-427A-92AE-197D6DF9F8C8.jpeg

So gorgeous! I bet it is really blingy in real life!

Aww, thank you @cushioncutnut ! It’s my first vintage/antique/repro piece and it’s currently at the jeweller’s for resizing, so I can’t yet confirm its blinginess. But fingers crossed, you are right! The vendor is estimating it will be back early next week.

It’s also my first 5-stone so I hope I get on with the style.

ooh the waiting is the hardest part!!!

Top ring is a new eBay find. The band belonged to my Great Grandma. I'm a dental hygienist so with gloves I prefer not to wear my engagement ring at work. This pretty has a much lower profile so I can wear to work daily.

What a lovely ring to go with your great-gma's band. They go great together! Do you have any specs on the ring you could share?

Here's the listing description. I need it sized down 1.25 sizes so I'm curious on my jeweler's opinion as well. Lucky for me little fingers make everything look bigger. Here's one of the listing photos for the center stone cut Screenshot_20210312-122202_eBay.png

Offered here is this victorian 14k gold old mine cut diamond promise pre engagement ring. The beautiful center diamond measures 3.2mm. The 4 diamonds on the side measure 1mm. All diamonds total 1/4ctw and exhibit SI2-I1 in clarity by H-I-J in color, as graded by our gemologist. The ring has a band width of 1.1mm and is a size 5.75.

Thank you for sharing! And fortunately, resizing 1.25 isn't too big of a difference. You could always add a some metal on the shank to fill up the last bit of space.

After years of longing for a hexagon or octogon setting I now have two octogon ladies!

I was shopping for a setting for a 1.12 lab mrb for my wedding anniversary in March, but then I came across this amazing vintage octogon that I HAD TO HAVE.

PXL_20210310_231101243~2.jpg

So I stole a little from the anniversary budget to get it for my 30th bday this month. The MRB then went into one of the cheapest Ivy&Rose settings which happens to be ...an octogon!

So now I have two lovely octogon ladies, one with a small transitional and an ornate setting, and another one with a bigger stone and more basic setting :kiss2:

Oh my goodness. My jaw literally dropped!

Thanks! It's from Maria of The Northway Studio and she hand-carves all of her beautiful pieces in wax for casting. She says she's working on a pink sapphire version of this.
