Show us your David Klass bling!

Your earrings are gorgeous, @mrs-b. How long are they?

I'm not entirely sure, as I haven't received them yet - but I'm thinking about...2.5"? Maaaaybe 3? I believe they were 1.75" before, and they're half again as long now. So probably somewhere between 2.5 and 3. Before, they were lost in my hair and not substantial enough. I'm hoping they stand out more now.

My new DKJ project. Diamond drop earrings - all stones D-F in color, 18kt yellow gold, 4.56 ctw.

These are so fun and beautiful! Did he source the stones for you? Just curious. I can't wait to see your pictures! :D

Hi @SparkliesLuver :)

No, I found all the stones. They were each bought individually from BN, except for the melee on the hooks, and the 10pt stones between all the larger stones.

These are just stunning! I hope you post a pic of you wearing them. I'd love to see a "real life" perspective.

Hi @elle_71125 - thank you for kind words! :wavey:

I'll definitely post an ear shot. I had intended to start their own thread, but I think everyone who was going to see them has probably seen them at this point. I can tell you now, tho, they're not tiny. They're substantial, but elegant. They're not heavy looking, but it *is* 4.6 ctw of bling, when all is said and done.

Well damn! I'm gonna have to clean all the drool off of my keyboard now. :lickout: I think you should still start a thread. You know we're a bunch of sparkle hoes around here. I, for one, can never get enough!

Tanga back view.jpg Tanga [4].jpg

I'm afraid I don't remember if I posted this before because I'm not here very often anymore. In any case, David made this for me for my birthday last year. I had the Tanga garnet (7.5 mm) from Barry and I was holding on to it until I found just the right setting. David hit the nail on the head with this beauty. The yellow gold is buttery and rich looking and the diamonds are David's G VS. Even the back is pretty.

The hand engraved band in this photo is David's creation also. I love scrollwork and his people did it so perfectly. Just the band is David's. The vintage OEC three stone is a little treasure that I bought from a fellow PSer. (I love her taste).Three stone OEC & DK custom.jpg

When my bestie saw photos of the band that David made me, she decided to call him and order a replacement wedding band to wear with her sapphire and diamond three stone e-ring. She lost her diamond band and had been sad over the whole thing ever since.

David's sapphires, Ceylon of course, just catch your eye even if you're not looking at it. The blue is so vibrant! The second photo is the back of the band which is a half eternity. Perfect handywork.DK for Ann [5].jpg DK for Ann [4].jpg

Thanks Ladies, Here is a quick phone picture.

This is how I wear the band together with my asscher eternity and Love the blingy carefree look, I don’t reach for my solitaire or three stone anymore.

The only thing I wished I had known was the fact that there are 4 beads lip sort of in each bezel almost like bead set inside a bezel (which I Do NOT like prongs in the first place- hence is why I wanted a BEZEL set, NOT beadset BEZEL… uggg), very minute but I wished I had known this and I’m too lazy to send it back to David so he can just make it full flush bezel -Told him about this issue and he asked me to send it back so he can correct. That is the only problem I have other than that I love it, and haven’t felt the “lip or beads” catching on anything… seems sturdy so far.

Lorrisey- That is some yummy yellow goodness, love princess in kite set!

Did you sell this band?? if you did, I think I bought it from you.

@gemgirl, beautiful blue stones in that band, and what a nice surprise on the back!

Her engraving is exactly like my yellow gold band. I can't believe that David's experts hand engrave these bands "free hand". What an art.

I had DK redo my wedding/e-ring and I’ve only had my new pieces a couple days now. The fine details are absolutely perfect and I couldn’t be happier with the new designs. The center oval stone stayed the same, but David sourced the side stones for the 3-stone look I was after. The 3mm stones from the original setting were used in a matching full eternity. Both rings are platinum, engraved, and the profile of the 3-stone is my favorite part.

Here’s the before. This setting was made 15 years ago:

Two DK stacking bands from his Etsy store - a 4mm rose gold flower band and a brushed white gold 3mm bubble band. They’re very light and will be a lot of fun to swap out with other bands =)2

How long did it take from order to completion on these? I've been eyeballing a bunch of stuff on his new Etsy store. :Up_to_something2:

@maryred your makeover over is gorgeous, that side profile tops it off! It's great that you were able to use the small stones in an eternity. I hope you have many years of enjoyment.

I LOVE the rose band! Can you tell me if it is solid and durable? I have been admiring it since he opened his etsy shop but haven't purchased (yet) ~ partly because I can't decide which color

Thanks for any info! :D

Less than two weeks each time. It was amazing. I don't know if it's because his store just opened and word isn't out yet but I was super impressed.

Word of caution - he sends his packages "signature required".

It's very solid and durable... surprisingly so. And it's adorable. The longer I've owned it the more I appreciate it :)

I order custom work from him so I'm used to the signature required element. Two weeks is really fast. That's awesome! :mrgreen2:

Thank you Bright Ice. It was important to me to use the small stones in something that would be worn often. They were originally in a ring given to me by my mother 30 years ago, and I didn’t want them to be set aside and forgotten. I’m pretty sure my inspiration photo belongs to someone on PS, but I’m not sure who:

I’m thrilled with my rings’ makeover. The workmanship is a huuuuuge improvement over the previous setting. The very obvious prongs on the old ring were hard to overlook.

Just got my new David Klass beauties in today!
A Montana Sapphire right hand ring, and a new diamond eternity ring, both with some gorgeous engraving.

This would be mine. It was a reset also from an eternity that the prongs caught on everything. It's a few pages back on this thread.

Your new rings are gorgeous, especially the 3 stone!

How do you all get DK to respond to you? I have emailed him and Amy several, several times, and my emails either go unanswered, or I get one brief reply back and then after I reply it's crickets again. So incredibly frustrating!

I've worked with him twice now on four different pieces. I've never had issues, but I've also had a very clear image of what I'm wanting done, and get all my questions typed up in the first email I send.
So maybe with how busy he is, he doesn't have a lot of time for back and forth??
Honestly just a guess. I'm sorry you're having a hard time communicating with him.

He's worth the wait in my opinion, but I've never had to wait too long. My first two projects and last two projects both took about 3 weeks from first email to products in hand.
