Done and dusted for today, perhaps with a hot chocolate with an added dash of chocolate and chilli rum later.
The crispy Gravlax salmon skin was a by-product that was too good to be binned.
Buck's Fizz with nibbles of crackers with prawns and Marie Rose sauce with trout roes or Gravlax with a dill sauce with lumpfish roes.
Starter of smoked mackerel pâté with garlicky ciabatta toasts.
Roast duck, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and parsnips; braised red cabbage in apple juice, butter and cinnamon; stir-fried medley of vegetables; duck sauce. Washed down with a glass of red wine.
Dessert of panna cotta with ground toasted pistachio and sesame seeds, pomegranate and Grand Marnier.
Époisses and Roquefort cheeses with fruits, quince jelly, celery, and Emmental and pumpkin seeds crackers with a glass of chocolate and chilli rum.
