Jam (spreads easier), then a dollop of clotted cream haha. My husband says "have some scone with your cream." I am obsessed with that stuff

"Duck Laab"
Aged duck breast, mint, cilantro, cucumber, spicy lemongrass slaw, toasted rice powder

Delicious! I love duck and I love laab...I've never had duck laab! Tell me you had it with sticky rice...

Having our Christmas get together with my family this weekend and I am in person in charge of baking, made no bake cookies and Carmel cheesecake brownies, it smells amazing I hope they taste ok! AFD23920-A6FF-4D6D-80F0-13CD72B8813C.jpeg

Yep, same. If the scones are tasty by themselves, I eat them without anything. Hmm, I miss those...

Hence the “ ”, haha. I thought about eating the duck with sticky rice but decided against it. The meat tasted so mild/delicate and I enjoyed it with just the fresh salad and mieng pa.

This is our westernized Lunar New Years dinner made by yours truly. From 12 o’clock, steak and roasted potatoes o’Brian, baked salmon with crispy onion topping and roasted vegetables, roasted duck with steamed buns. Pan fried homemade potstickers (half are kimchi beef, the other half is pork and cabbage), then fried red bean rice cake wrapped in wonton skin, and in the middle, a seafood hotpot.

Some more pictures of food I have eaten lately from restaurants ….seafood pasta, salmon with ravioli, chocolate soufflé, blackened shrimp with mushroom risotto, savory crepes with creamy garlic sauce, huervos rancheros with Kalua pork

Cooking is therapeutic for me, and it is my love language, so I like making labor intensive dishes like the cabbage rolls below 486195AC-70E0-4648-8530-D0AEE0FB404D.jpeg

Delicious!! We recently had some amazing cabbage rolls at a Polish restaurant. Along with lots and lots of flavored vodka and even a vodka terrine dessert!6C16032B-BC19-44C5-AE9D-1EDA2B7B729B.jpeg

All your meals look delicious! Does anyone have a good recipe for cabbage rolls in tomato sauce? I used to make it a long time ago..I grew up in a Polish neighborhood during my middle school years. It’s been many years now since I made them. My mom made a very simple version but she doesn’t remember how she made them..I don’t like them sweetened though. I remember it having rice and egg in the meat mixture..Thank you!

I have one that I like. There's no egg. I don't think they are sweet, although they do have some allspice and paprika.

I found it online

This is recipe is perfect @Lookinagain! I love the spices but I don’t like when the sauce is sweet. I never made it with sour cream but it sounds delicious. I will make this as soon as I finish my chicken soup! I make different things for my husband and son. They never like the foods I like so I cook a batch of something for myself. I can eat it every day until it’s gone..Thank you!

They freeze very well. I have a vacuum sealer and I freeze them in the bag first then seal them, two at a time. That way you can make a big batch and save some for later.
The sour cream keep them moist. I actually throw a bit of sour cream in things like turkey burgers and meat loaf too.

Thank you! You’re making my mouth water! Haha

Please let me know what you think after you make them.
I will! I just made my soup yesterday so that should last me at least four days. I can’t wait to make them!

Tonight I made seared scallops with parmesan risotto and sautéed spinach.
