#JOTW Show your romantic pieces for 14 days of February!

The amount of work someone put into this is just amazing, work of art for sure and what's better than wearable art?

Thank you! Absolutely...the workmanship dedication is spiritually impressive in some native pieces. This Highlights why I sometimes feel at times a hollowness in some contemporary definitions of ‘precious’ in jewelry.

I agree. I get so annoyed when people scoff at sterling jewelry or mixed metal pieces. As if they are inferior to diamonds and gold. They are not. The workmanship in Native American pieces, Taxco silver, Peruvian filigree, and other pieces from around the world, made by Native crafts people are stunning in their own right.

Yes! I can completely relate and am relieved when others ‘get’ that! It irritates me....Same goes with agates and quartz, turquoise etc as compared with ‘precious’ stones! They are beautiful and amazing in their own right!

This is still one of the most romantic, well executed, prettiest designs I’ve ever seen. It’s great to see it here! I hope you’re enjoying it!

@PreRaphaelite that is so kind of you! Thank you so much! Yes, I really do enjoy wearing this one. The facet pattern on these vintage diamonds is unique and lovely. I wish I could capture it better with my camera.

We are getting close, y’all! I must include this old, old snow flake Zuni cuff which just feels like connection and love through and through. This is my absolute favorite native piece. It was a very romantic gift because of how we found it and what it symbolizes.

@Bluegemz big, bold, and beautiful! Love it!

This is the piece (posted in TPF) that sparked my love affair with Native American jewelry! I’m still looking for something similar... just sensational!

Thank you, @Diamond Girl 21 ! Your ring is stunning...it is like an unfurling of time with the diamonds as stars. It must be amazing to see it on you!

Hey, wow, thank you so much! What a compliment! ! I’m flattered!

I forgot to share yesterday so here was my romantic bling pairing from Monday.

A sweet kitty diamond pendant I bought a long time ago from Dover I believe.

And also wore my ankle bracelet A gift from my mom decades ago...when I was just a teen or adolescent. It has my initial M on the front and Love, Mom on the back. Very sweet.

Today I am wearing the cliche romantic piece. A heart necklace. Haven't started my day yet but this is it for now.

Please excuse the kitty hair. Makes everything better.

Diamond flower clusters are always romantic.

A personal favorite of mine! Love all diamonds clustered. Its clusterlicious @stracci2000
And I appreciate your creative photo taking. A selfie on one's neck is challenging and the photos I end up getting are quite unclear. So kudos to you for taking the perfect photos!

I've been trying hard to keep my photos interesting!
There are so many props and weird old things around my house......

I tried enlisting Oliver’s help but he was only interested in eating my necklace.

This thread is swoon some! I puffy heart all the prettiest & the stories behind them!

Generally my husband isn't a jewellery giving man. I have my wedding rings & some other bits that he's given to me, but most of those were driven by me. But on the birth of our eldest daughter he surprised me with the hot pink unheated sapphire ring, with her name & DOB engraved inside. On the birth of our second daughter, he rammed my full eternity ring onto my very swollen finger the next day. Both of these rings were shocking in their beauty AND in the fact that I hadn't asked for them! On my first Mothers Day with both of the girls, they each bought me (at the grand ages of 19 months & 2 months respectively!) a Tiffany platinum DBTY each. So these are my most romantic pieces.

Gorgeous pieces. All of them. And of course the most gorgeous aspect is that your DH wanted you to have them and did it himself. Amazing. He’s a keeper and no question your true jewel. As you are for him. ❤️❤️❤️

Aww... how sweet of your husband. Such thoughtful gifts! :kiss2:

This is the ultimate pave diamond heart necklace!
It is similar to the one Elizabeth Montgomery wore in nearly every episode of Bewitched. As a little kid obsessed with jewelry, I used to look forward to seeing it on her neck!

Reminds me of the beautiful diamond heart pendant worn by Elizabeth Montgomery in the early years of Bewitched. Always loved that piece.

Lol you both agree so I know it is true. I was a Bewitched fan but I guess at that time I never noticed bling because I do not know this necklace you both speak of. Off to check it out. Thank you @stracci2000 and thank you @lambskin

ETA: yes it’s very similar. I prefer the way hers was attached to the chain. Hmmm giving me ideas. Lol

@missy just beautiful!

I absolutely LOVE all the new additions! Every one of them is so special.

I don't know if this counts as romantic but it was lovingly given. In 2008 I had some major heart issues that required a device be put in my heart. Before the surgery, hubby and I decided we needed a little getaway and made a trip to FL. In our favorite jewelry store at the time we spotted this tsavorite ring. Hubby was like, "Oh it has angels on the sides. You need to have this before your surgery. They can be your guardian angels". So he bought it and the surgery went well at least I haven't had any more strokes so mission accomplished! I love my little guardian angels.

@Catmom what a truly special piece! It's really stunning, and your husband is so thoughtful. So glad you're doing well.

These were a Valentine's gift from my husband many years ago. He bought them in lieu of flowers, because they reminded him of a bouquet of rose buds, and thought I would appreciate these more. Yup, he was right!

LOVE these so much. Gorgeous and rich and luxurious. And so much better than flowers!

Thank you! Definitely thoughtful & out of character for sure  @missy He's a keeper all right. He says if I ever try to leave he'll cling to my ankles like a petulant child & I'll have to drag him down the lane!

Well, tell him he can rest easy you will never leave as long as he is showering you in bling.
