Agreed, I’m still thinking about the eBay bracelet from a couple weeks ago. I feel certain it’ll pop on an IG seller (for more than double).
It’s my etsy page for anyone wondering. Fwiw, I didn’t buy anything to resell that I hadn’t already found myself, nor would I. It’s just a fun side hobby i’d been thinking about for awhile. I’m sorry if anyone is offended by it. I’ve posted things here too just for sharing sake. A lot of us with this hobby look in the same places.

Aren't there different posting rules for vendors, like a trade designation and using real name? At what point does one cross the line and become a "vendor?"
Geez, is my memory fooling me or didn't PS have some kind of anti flipping rule at one point? Would that apply to someone checking here and then snapping up a "find" only to resell? I haven't check the rules but I do have a faint memory. Maybe it only applied to things listed in "Pre-loved"?
That is only for posting things in Preloved.
If anyone is looking for a pearl cage, Pawn America has one at a great price:

Folks, ALWAYS make sure to do a reverse image search when you're looking at antique jewelry.
I had this locket saved on my Ebay wishlist

18K Diamond Art Nouveau Gold Locket | 1890s Antique Locket with Diamonds. This exquisite18K solid yellow gold locket from thelate 19th century embodies the elegance and artistry of theArt Nouveau period.www.ebay.com
And just realized I also have it on my Etsy list, and it's much cheaper there.
Why the price difference? Because the Ebay listing is a scam. Always, always, do as much research as you can before you smash that Buy button.
I can think of one long time member, who glued some pearls. She ended up getting labeled trade for selling silver coin jewelry and stopped participating on PS all together. She had a great eye and collection. I miss her.
Silly question: when someone like the eBay seller posts a fake listing, what is the point? Doesn't eBay protect the buyer and issue a refund so the scammer isn't paid?
We do seem to have quite a few tattletales, don't we?
I KNOW this is an expensive piece but that said I think it's a great price for what it is, i was shopping for a looooong time for my art deco bracelet and if i didnt already buy mine, i would have bought this:

This store in general has a few antique pieces
NOTE!!! I have never bought from them but they have 1400+ sales so i would buy from them if they had what i was looking for!
@Inked BTW, when I mentioned tattletales, I was referring to all the forums, not just this thread. I completely agree that snagging stuff we post just to sell it at a pretty profit is not cool.
