Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece!

Im glad it was pointed out, honestly. I would say it was being protective of the PS family rather than "tattling". As newtojewels said it goes against "the spirit of this thread" - it would suck if vendors were just stalking this thread to swipe bargains we all come across. So, vendors know we're paying attention... lol!

I am a HUGE big fan of capitalism, you find a deal and want to flip it, knock yourself out!! I am all for that... But that said, dont grab stuff others found to share HERE for this family and use this as your personal garage sale, KWIM?? Just my 2 cents

I think it is OK for people to resell, but just BE HONEST and transparent! If the seller says something like, "I love this ring (etc), but I am trying to fund a big project. I got it for a great price, but I don't have the heart to part with it unless it gets me close to my goal for the new project" or something like that! Or the IG resellers who act like the items they found through links here or through TRR etc are their personal finds through their own skill and deep industry connections, just say, "Beautiful xxx, selling for a great price!" Don't state or suggest a story that is untrue!

I got all excited about this but it has the flattest crown i have ever seen, so not my personal taste but has potential? Maybe?? I like the band

I saw this earlier today and I thought the same thing about the crown!

It looks like someone cut the top off! Beautiful band.

I recently bought a shallow stone I’m thinking of using for a pendant. It’s plenty sparkly but it does affect the pattern. I read something lulu_ma said about half the petals going dark and that’s exactly what happens to this one. I’ll see if I can find her post.

Thinking it may not bother me for a pendant but maybe for a ring it would? See pic.

Not much visual interest in these type of cuts imo.

lol. Ugh fine! I wasn’t going to tell anyone I bought it. I thought inked wanted that ring. I ‘need’ a pendent for a couple things I have coming up. I’ll keep looking.

See how dark that stone Inked posted is in most photos? Especially the ones from further away? Just dark all across the surface without any indication of facet patterning. That’s a red flag.

Lol!! No, not for me! I posted it here because I’m of the mind there is no “right” answer … it’s just you like what you like… personally I like a really tall puffy crown. I posted it because although it’s definitely not what I want, it may speak to someone.

Are you able to return it? I would if you still can. Maybe we can find you something better for the $?

Ps, I had that stone on my list for a loooong time, but that flat table always threw me.

Yes I can return. And yes, I would appreciate the help finding a replacement! I went thru the last few pages here but didn’t see anything.

Let us know your general budget, and size/color preferences, and we'll all keep an eye out!

Caveat-"for a ring without a bezel or faux bezel setting." I think a lot of these spready stones came out of pieces where they were set horizontally-like tiaras or pins. Spready stones would be great for a pendant or earrings in the right type of setting. Cut seems to be key in spready stones, too, because the middles can be mushy.
