Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece!

If anyone is interested in a gorgeous lab diamond or ring, it’s a good day to check loupetroop. Wowzers! Our friends listed some beauties!

Yes, they did! I am trying to resist! :kiss2:

I can't wait for it to arrive which might take a couple weeks due to the authentication process. Here's a pic of the winner as the two rings duked it out. I went with my heart.

Wow, that’s so beautiful. I can’t wait to see it on your hand!

Here is a lovely, uncerted, transitional cut diamond of .80 carats set in platinum. Just lovely and the price is $1575. No returns though. Such a pleasing facet pattern.

Very nice!. What color grade did they estimate?

Thank you! The color is estimated to be U/V, the clarity VS and size of 1.6 carats. The setting is a Traub orange blossom with engraving. Such a different flavor than my other diamonds. I tried to resist but it was futile.

That color grade seems about right, or at least it’s a cautious estimate lol. Can’t be more tinted really!

Can’t wait to see more photos. How much was it?

Thank you. She sent me photos on hand that didn’t really show much tint. I’m hoping it is a warm, buttery vanilla or a bit lemony. The price I thought was good, under 4k.

It reminded me of smaller OMC in a vintage shop that I used to visit. The diamond was yellowish in platinum probably about .75 carats and I loved it. Figured I would go back and get it a few weeks or months later. Went back and the shop was closed. It was so pretty.

I love a very tinted OMC. I hope it’s a pleasing color in person!

Pretty sure these are Beverly K at a steal of a price!

This one might not be to everyone's tastes but it's 1.5 carat of asscher cut diamonds in 10 grams of platinum. The seller will take $800 for the ring. Not sure if it's truly vintage but I get a vintage vibe. https://www.ebay.com/itm/387844506656?_trkparms=ni_actn:nav|ni_nt:SellerInitiatedOffer|ni_apos:1|ni_sg:1|ni_pos:1|ni_st:NEW|ni_wh:1|ni_nid:771147666183|ni_nsid:387844506656|ni_et:1740114537133|ni_bn:1&_trksid=p2380424.m570.l5997&ul_noapp=trues-l1600 (10).webp

Are those asschers or carre cut?

This ring reminds me of an Oscar Heyman piece:

Good catch! I do believe they are carre cut diamonds. The seller has them listed as square diamonds.

I wonder what size they are. Hard to tell. I'm not a fan of the ring, per se, but 10 fairly matched carre cuts aren't often around. Doing the division it's 6.66 pts each but how does that translate to size? Assuming not a branded piece, but still perhaps sacrilege but it could be pulled apart for the stones and then trade in the metal? Of course, they are not making any representations on color or clarity. And no returns.

Just some pretty eye candy… Georgian isn’t my favorite period, but this stopped me in my tracks …. Look at all the pretty butts :lol-2::kiss2:

I loathe this style of ring (usually) because of the inprecise cutting and weird settings. But THE BUTTS ARE SO PRETTY ON THIS ONE! WHY ARE THE BUTTS NICER THAN THE FACES????

All interesting and tempting pieces, but could you look maybe in the size 6.75 -7 range? ;-)

Alright, fess up … who bought this?!?

I was hiding it, and it was the only yellow gold piece I planned on buying, ever… guess it’s platinum & rose gold

Sigh…. I am a sucker for old things in 1886 was the first year that Charles Tiffany made the first ever so popular six prong solitaire, sigh. I’m going to go pout now :blackeye:
