I ordered a simple 18k chain from Beatrice/Zarafabrocante, and it arrived yesterday and was so carefully wrapped. She was absolutely lovely to deal with.

Of course I will. The bad part is the waiting (EAT 4th of March). It is for my favorite finger for thicker bands, the long finger. But I was considering the smaller one as well. Did you get that one?

I did this morning, I almost didn’t since I’ve got quite a few vintage bands already but it was a good price and great condition. Got a shipping notification that it should be here between 2/8 to 2/12.

I think this ring is very pretty. I don't know if it's because the diamonds are cut a bit shallow and the culets are too large or it's just me. So I decided against it. It's still very pretty.

I’m suspicious of the antique provenance of that stone with the GIA report. The proportions are unusual (big table and shallow) for an antique and it has excellent polish and by symmetry plus a faceted girdle. At the least it has been recut significantly.

The overall ring is attractive and a good price for the carat weight.

They sent me an offer on that ring for $4800. If I hadn't already assembled my own old mine trio, I may have bit. I like the look of that center, even if Dreamer's suspicions are true.

It is very pretty. In the video to my eyes the diamonds were giving off a kind of rose cut vibe. Not that they are rose cuts, but just a little too much space in the centers to make me love the diamonds. Maybe I'm hoping for confirmation bias because I chose a different OMC ring. :lol-2:

Dealer must have posted the wrong cert. The cert notes no culet facet.

I think the lighting is just weird. Very flat and the facets aren’t showing much in that light. Doesn’t mean yours isn’t better!

That explains why I kept seeing what looked like a black carbon inclusion near the culet. There's a cloud listed in the report but it didn't match up to what I was seeing in the video.

I don't know anything either despite trying so hard to read the jade thread and admiring everyone else's pieces, but these are just pretty. Who cares if the jade is good quality or not when it's a lovely piece of jewelry!

I saw this as well and took a good look, but am trying to be "good" I agree the cert. is probably wrong.. And I actually like the cut. But they call it "vintage style". To me that means it's not truly vintage.
