Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece!

I nabbed it, even though I'm poor. And still fat. :lol-2: It just arrived and it is SO pretty! It's sweet and shiny, but needs a good scrubbing. I'll worry about the size later.

I’m so glad a PS’er got it, and I’m so,so glad you like it!

Im glad it was pointed out, honestly. I would say it was being protective of the PS family rather than "tattling". As newtojewels said it goes against "the spirit of this thread" - it would suck if vendors were just stalking this thread to swipe bargains we all come across. So, vendors know we're paying attention... lol!

I am a HUGE big fan of capitalism, you find a deal and want to flip it, knock yourself out!! I am all for that... But that said, dont grab stuff others found to share HERE for this family and use this as your personal garage sale, KWIM?? Just my 2 cents

@Inked I love how you said this. I don't really have anything to add. Just an observation, my favorite part of what you said. "Don't grab stuff others found to share HERE for this family and use this as your personal garage sale, KWIM??"

Bravo! I love the spirit of Pricescopers and how we help each other, cheer for each other, and are happy when one of us has a jewelry dream come true. Love knowing with this thread that we are trying to help make that happen.

Thank you Inked! You always have a way with words!!

100 percent agree with all of the above! But I will pay the flipper tax if anyone sees that sapphire - old pear ring for sale. Still sour :lol-2:

Speaking of this ‘family’. Someone has a new thread for her lady friend, flora, and I just stumbled upon it @lavenderdragonfly23 . I’m trying not to roam around too much for the sake of my bank account and my marriage but I occasionally stalk some of you to see what’s going on and…. Wow!!! Go check it out if you haven’t! Bring a tissue for tears and drool!

If it’s really a J-k, seems like a steal. Looks to have much more color from the underside. Trr “Gia gemologists” eye roll

Also, if it’s I1 it’s not a deal. I recently found out that an I1 is extremely discounted.

I saw that clarity grade and thought similar. Plus if they admit to that grade it does make me wonder what’s lurking in the stone given that appraisals are usually softer.

I love the personal shoppers with an execellent eye on PS and watch this thread to see what catches everyone’s eye. An OEC / transitional diamond is on my must have don’t need list….I have been watching that circular brilliant ring but concerned about I1. What are your thoughts? I almost hope it sells so I can’t stop ruminating over it.

Do you see the inclusion I've magnified? Upper left quadrant. That would make me pass.IMG_2818.png

This store in general has a few antique pieces

NOTE!!! I have never bought from them but they have 1400+ sales so i would buy from them if they had what i was looking for!

That shop has quite a few little treasures, and the prices are quite reasonable. Nice find!

I’m cautious to try interpreting anything in pictures like this! There is high contrast and a lot of reflections.

@vitona526 :kiss2: :love: :wavey: :kiss2::love:
You are so sweet!!! We are humbled that so many love her and our story … thank you very much… your love is the cherry to the top of the best dessert ever ❤️

…….
just putting this out there… Next year I can see a pendant and studs in my project list. You can bet I’m planning on rescuing some beautiful stones hopefully from a monstrosity of something cause I’m a romantic and love happy endings, lol…. You can bet I’m going to be on the lookout for some pretty SI2/I1’s :kiss2:

99.9% of who’s going to be admiring them don’t have a trained eye… besides… I’ll be too busy admiring Flora anyways lol

I love a good SI2 or I1. My collection included a few of each (though final word form GIA is pending for some stones). I even wear them in rings. My eye sight has gone to crap as I approach 50, so I can’t see anything anyway! I just don’t like eye visible black inclusions or large inclusions right under the table. But most old cuts get those grades because of girdle issues like cavities and naturals which are just par for the course really.

My hesitation about buying diamonds *without* lab reports that are purported to be those clarity grades is that in my experience sellers almost always undersell inclusions. My diamonds with large inclusions were sold to me as SI1 or better. When scrap and second hand sellers admit up front that it’s SI2 or I1 then I get suspicious. Usually that means large unsightly eye visible inclusions.

Just fatten those fingers up a little and you’ll be fine! :lol-2:

My middle and index fingers are 7.5-7.75. This would be the perfect size. That's what makes it worse! I just got the pearl ring, I have the Fred Leighton pendant, and I have the MC2 earrings on the way. I can't, I can't, I can't.

lol.

It’s a gorgeous antique though. Lurve it.
