I have been searching through forums and websites looking for a new gems to add to my collection. I ran across this one. It is incredible color change and thought it deserved to be listed here. I have bought from this vendor before and my engagement ring is a blue sapphire we bought from him. I love it! :twirl:

CC Garnets are notoriously difficult to photograph. That said, I haven't bought anything from this dealer so I am not to know. If it is a true grass green/purplish red colour change it is worth the price tag noted, and then some I believe.

These are pricey but so amazingly beautiful. Can you imagine a shared prong eternity in 18k YG? Yummy yum yum.

I know Tanzanite isn't particularly rare but I thought this one was a great price for the size ...

Ohhhh, that's pretty with little sparks of green and blue. Zowie, it's big, too!

I agree! That's a gorgeous stone - except for the price. Not so gorgeous! ;(

When I saw that on their site, I gulped at the price, but oooo ahhh, the color(s)!! Would love to see that in hand.

I'm seeing sphenes dance around my head with that chryso...

Also if any luker picked up that Roger Dery Red Spinel, please post some pics! That's among the best red spinels I've ever seen posted on this board, and at a nice size to boot.

The feeling of "the one which got away" still hurts.

I ran across this jadeite ring and thought it was utterly lovely. Wanted to share for your consideration and comment.
I have VERY little knowledge re colored stones, so I have no idea if it's a good deal. But given the ring's beauty and price, I thought someone might be interested. (I won't be buying it since the size is too far from my ring size to be a likely candidate for resizing.)

What do you all think? I welcome your instruction. :read:

That Aquamarine in your avatar was worthy of a spot in this thread... but I knew it wouldn't last long, and it didn't. ;)

It's not top color for a jadeite but the ring itself is very pretty

The setting is lovely but unfortunately the jadeite isn't so.

I think that jadeite needs a transfusion stat, for it suffers from terminal anemia

Vapidlapid love the turn of phrase.....perhaps you should be desinated wordie :> )

$7k for a pink spinel seems really outrageous but I just cannot get this stone out of my head!

Of course if I had that kind of cash to spend, I'd be hard pressed not to pick this sapphire:

It would've been worthy, but it has already been bought... quickly at that! ;)

I'll post pics when I get it. I'm already working with my jeweler to find it's perfect setting.

Thanks for the instructive comments on the jadeite ring! I'm finding PS to be such an educational tool, and appreciate your time. :)

That wil be spectacular!! But yes, pricey. I actually had LM price that setting two years ago. It was $3k without the traps in platinum. He estimated $2-4k for traps depending on size and availability. Yikes.

Holy shitake!!!!!! Ugh I was hoping to keep it under that total price. I was going to see what WF would quote me as I wouldn't wear this ring often. I know another alternative is white sapphire sides but I think that would make the ring look off to me. Oh well it will be at least another 2 years till I can set it.

Just beautiful, Kenny. That's the sort of stone you want to stare & stare at for hours. Such delicate complex color.
