Eleanor’s color looked better than I recalled yesterday.
Also, I’m so pleased the swallowtail caterpillars are back this year! Three of them hatched today. They start out less than 2mm, and they eventually become big, fat green caterpillars before they become beautiful butterflies.
That’s so neat. I’ve never seen anything like that and you pics are fantastic!

Admittedly the blues are amped up a bit in this pic from my iPhone, and the OTT lamp they are under - both the stone and the flower petals. But they are dang close to the same color irl too.
The cup of tea it made was quite tasty!
And psst...@mrs_b I know you are joshing about winning- but
I kinda like the idea of a traveling prize!

Hey! Thanks for liking them but not for sale. Was a bit of a shock when I gathered them together and realized that I have so many unset pinkish/purple stones.
The first two stones (including ring) on the left are spinels, the rest are tourmalines except a garnet on the bottom right.
My dad took this on his walk this morning.
I've been waiting for bird babies to appear. This is my sign that Spring is here!

We have babies too!
Seeing these makes me feel so happy. We’re definitely heading into Autumn down here in Australia although it is certainly very warm for this time of year so far. My local butcherbirds are showing up on my back veranda again asking for a supplementary feed of cat biscuits. If only I could get a good photo of one.
