Unfortunately, as John mentioned, the inclusion kept growing and growing and the poor spinel ended up being around 1 ct after he was done. He graciously allowed me to back out of the transaction since it was totally unexpected and not my fault.

Nope, none of those stones have been set. I''m in the process of getting a setting for one of my cobalt spinels though.
