fierypyropixy - My two (sigh not much of a collection... yet) other gemstone rings are halos and I wanted to try something different.... I love this setting, and for a solitaire it is really beautiful. I do have a soft spot for halos though.

It''s lovely. Very simple and elegant. I was thinking for a long time about that exact setting for a pink sapphire e-ring I am working on. I ended up going with something different, but your ring makes me wonder if I shouldn''t have gone with something like this, because it''s so stunning.
