Isn''t it so annoying when people start posts just to criticize the behavior of other forum members? And start thread after thread asking ''innocent questions'' which are actually statements in disguise?

I guess the only way to discourage that behavior is to *stop feeding the _____*! At least that''s what I plan to do.

Actually, I think it was ''woodic'', as in 3-wood-ic.

LOL

In addition to being annoyed by annoyance ... I also *hate* hate and *love* love! Kumbaya!

Deco, I really think you should get some therapy since you feel the need obviously to draw attention to yourself.

LOL! You''re sooooo RIGHT! I should have ''gone anon'' ... but who would I be ... ''Chili Dog''? ''Relish''? ''Ol'' Smokey''?
PurplePleasure - no one would know who you are ;)

Can I pointlessly vent about pointless vent threads while we''re at it?

Key Lime is Allison''s fave right?? Or is that your''s?? I was away when this whole pie thing went down and haven''t caught up since.

Apple pie is too nice, we need something more snarky... If pie can be snarky???

Oh and Tiger, gosh what a mess. We know people that live by him. They have always said he''s great, etc.... But I do find the whole thing very odd.... It''s not adding up for me, not at all...

You see this kind of stuff in schools where some child will would try to create a sort of gang to freeze out a particular individual and there are lots of names for this kind of behaviour.
Decodelighted, do "stop feeding the -------*!" if that''s what you want to do but do you need to start a mean spirited thread and gather a gang around you to do it?

My thoughts exactly. If you don''t like a thread or a certain poster, then simply skip it...nobody forces you to read anything. No need to make a whole thread just to passive aggressively "call someone out".
38.gif

I agree with Klewis and Steph. I shouldn''t have said anything earlier (when I essentially called out someone) -- I apologize. I don''t see the harm in these threads at all. They''re just for fun, and if you don''t like them, don''t reply (and I don''t see the need to start a new thread about it).

Wait a minute

well, that was 5 minutes of my life i''ll never get back...

I think this is mean and rude.

People start topics for many reasons, this is a public forum. It is not for any one person to judge which topics are response worthy and which ones are meaningless...to each is own. If you find it irritating or annoying, don''t participate. Keep it nice on the playground, kids.

But based on your argument this thread is fine, too. If people don''t want to participate in this thread, they don''t have to!

Absolutely, a I stated, this is a public forum and all topics are of value to someone. Just like everyone else, I added my opinion and will move on. People can participate any way they wish; I choose to do so in a positive adult manner, rather than get caught up in any form of bullying or ganging up on people, veiled or not.

I agree with this.

Unfortunately, opinions/topics are only warranted when *certain* people say so.

IMO, if you don''t like the purpose of the thread, don''t post. If the thread/posts/OP is out of line, let the admins handle it.

I obviously don't post that often, but I do hang out here, alot, and this thread makes me question if we're back in high school.

I don't see the point of starting a thread like this to see "who's in" on ignoring a certain type of post or thread. Whatever the reason, it's rude and ridicilous. You don't like a poster or a certain thread?! Ignore it! there's no need to start a whole thread and count heads to see who's ganging up with you.

I didn''t find anything about this thread offensive...I took it as a tongue-in-cheek, good-natured ribbing amongst PS members.

Although at first I wanted to tell Deco that threads about thin veils belong in BWW.
2.gif

Frankly I see all discussions as healthy progress.
I guess I'm an optimist.

We all have opinions and personalities, some similar to the norm, some not.
I'd rather be free to express mine and others free to express theirs (within PS rules of course).
Not agreeing is okay.

I do not feel hurt or bothered, just better informed about something that several people feel strongly about.
Everyone knows what kind of community they'd like to have so they speak up.
I did, and so have others here.
I think it is progress, and it helps us get along and form an agreeable community.

I sincerely appreciate the feedback and will adjust my posting style a bit.
There is a difference between vanishing into politeness and causing trouble.

Exactly my point ... this thread is ABOUT creating threads like that -- and demonstrated by creating such a post myself. Here''s the difference ... *I* don''t make a habit of it. Some do.

And, Klewis, I''m not about "freezing anyone out". From time to time MANY of us have had a mirror held up. Its KIND to show someone there''s spinach in their teeth ... or that MAYBE they''re turning a forum into one long personal gripe session. THOSE threads are the ones I''ll (in the future) ignore. Not *all* posts or threads by any particular poster.

Everyone has the right to their opinion! Thanks for sharing yours!

Kenny,

I''ve never had any problems with your posts FWIW.
