Rather I feel like everyone understands what kind of community they''d like to have so they speak up. I did, and so have others here. I think it is healthy, and it helps us get along and form an agreeable community. There is a fine line between vanishing into politeness and causing trouble.
I''ve heard you advocate such in the past and figured you''d at least respect my right to express *my* opinion. And, on your last statement -- I totally agree.

Dear Deco~are are asking me to show restraint

I do try. There is an individual who sets my teeth on edge, but I have promised myself that I will keep my digits to myself. Now may I recommend a nicotene patch to you? I become concerned for your health every Christmas season

I respect your right to express your opinion.
I don't know why you feel otherwise.
All opinions coexist.
They do not boil down to one truth.

Ever feel like no one is listening? Echo Echo Echo Echo

I think the point that the OP, dear DecoDelighted (shout out!) is relatively transparent although cleverly disguised in a humorous ironic veil. Where I think the hilarity lies is that so many are quick to take offense, where personally I take offense when I see these incessant posts that are clearly antagonizing and sometime blatantly inappropriate.

It is so obvious where the rifts lie amongst posters here at Pricescope, no one even needs to name names. It actually infuriates me that in certain circumstances all basic social graces are ignored and it is appalling that some individuals’ that I consider to be intelligent stoop to such pettiness and hypocrisy. None of us are innocent here, everyone is capable of being a snarky mess on occasion but when it is constantly prevalent from some and with no so-called consequence it is hard to shake off. Those of us that do value the harmony and friendship of this community need to rise above the childish drama and continue to support Pricescope for what its founders and now Ali and Andrey strive.

Something’s do however ring in my mind and perhaps some people never learned these things:

1) If you don’t have anything nice to say…
2) People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones
3) Advice is seldom welcome; and those who want it the most always like it the least.
4) Many receive advice, only the wise profit by it.

Isn''t it so annoying when people start posts just to criticize the behavior of other forum members? And start thread after thread asking ''innocent questions'' which are actually statements in disguise?

I guess the only way to discourage that behavior is to *stop feeding the _____*! At least that''s what I plan to do.

Who''s in?

ETA: inherent irony = intentional
2.gif

You see this kind of stuff in schools where some child will would try to create a sort of gang to freeze out a particular individual and there are lots of names for this kind of behaviour.
Decodelighted, do ''stop feeding the -------*!'' if that''s what you want to do but do you need to start a mean spirited thread and gather a gang around you to do it?

Did I miss the part where this was "mean spirited"? Or did you miss the part that was poking good-natured fun, while making a valid point?

I believe this was exactly what deco meant when she titled this thread "Stirring The Pot". She knew there would be . . . you.

Relax. Have some fun. Foibles can be fun, if we don''t all allow our knickers to twist over them.

I didn''t find anything about this thread offensive...I took it as a tongue-in-cheek, good-natured ribbing amongst PS members.

Although at first I wanted to tell Deco that threads about thin veils belong in BWW.
2.gif
Absolutely 100 percent positively no doubt about it right on the money couldn''t have said it better myself . . . correct.

Oh my gosh, monarch; did we just agree on something??

Can you translate for dummies? There were so many words! And at first I'm like: she agrees with me! And then I'm like: wait, she thinks I'm a douche. And then I'm like: no she LIKES me! And then I'm like: is that her digit waving at me? Or is she pointing? Help!

As the old passed classroom mash note goes:

____ I like you!

____ You are a douche!

____ Eh, I'm kinda cool with you even though you're a douche some of the time.

Actually, I read by clicking on "Posted Today" and seeing what topic titles jump out at me. So I really have no idea who the OP is until I''ve already read quite a bit. Also: no one person annoys me enough to skip all their posts. Okay, well ONE but they''ve been off the radar for awhile.
25.gif
And even then the "can''t turn away from a train wreck" urge kicks in from time to time. I''m only human.

So you think the post was directed at you?
I thought it was directed at me.

Ambiguity is annoying.
Clarity is better.

I have a sense of affinity with you deco, lurves ya.

Oh, and no I won''t dumb it down...i know how smart you are smokey.

Kenny-

Directed at me? Nope, I know better than that...

I know what I was getting into when I clicked the link, known and followed Deco for a long time (not in a stalker type manner) and I understand her humor, wit and snarkyness. Always thought provoking.

I don''t post very often eigher. But honestly, these posts kind of keep me entertained! ...

I find the endless questions boring. It makes me wonder why these sometimes trivial matters are so important to the poster that they need to start a thread about it.

I hated the picture of the silver tape in a recent thread about noisy children in planes. I know it was a joke but I didn''t find it funny. I also felt sad when I saw a thread in hangout asking if it''s always the mans fault when divorce happens just after I posted about my divorce in family and home.

Anyway, thats my opinion and yes I have PMS.
