are you going to set it in white or yellow gold?
-A
Thanks Arcadian and icekid!

I think since it''s blue (well sometimes blue) I will set it in white gold. I really really whant a WG RHR. But I''ll try it with both metals in daylight.

It looks different from Dan's picture but it's no less pretty. It is very bright, sparkly and I like almost all the colour shifts. You've got a nice spinel at a good price.

I love the color of it and how sparkly it is. It is really pretty. Any ideas on how you will set it??

VERY pretty!

Thanks Chrono, Linda W, and Cindy 11

It is sparkly. And I don't want to dim the sparkle or keep color from the stone. So my LOGR bezel idea is out.

Beautiful cut and great color. I like the color shift quality of it.

I really love the colour! It''s such a pretty stone

I love it. It''s just gorgeous!

It''s lovely! I really like that lavender color.

Thank you FrekeChild and Kismet!

I am nothing new to add but your spinel is really beautiful and sparkly. Congratulations on getting another great gem.

Love it! I actually like it better IRL than in Dan''s picture
Ditto! Your pics are way better than his! I love this spinel!
THANKS VR Beauty and Lauren I actually took alot of photos that were too poor to post. And I do think that it''s hard to capture the color of a color shifter.
I feel your pain! For ever decent pic I get of a gemstone or diamond, I have 11ty more that I trashed.

So what type of setting are you going to use?

Thanks Lovinggems

Lauren -- Each time I do jewelry photos it seems like the first time, so many poor photos. But maybe I''m just improving very very slooooowly. Some PSers are just really skilled at photos.

Innerkitten -- At this point I really don''t know. Since a bezel is out I''ve gone back to searching the Stuller site. They do have a setting I like that''s 6 prongs but I''m not sure if that would be too much metal on a 5.75 mm stone. And no I can''t find that setting in a 4 prong.

Maybe this Stuller Swirl setting. I'm thinking white gold though. And I thought I had a side view of it in WG. I have to search my other computer for that... OK PS won't let me attach the photo.

OK now I think it will show up. What do you all think? Too many prongs for the stone size or not?
