Is that top ring a Raintree ring? Would love the details on it (whether Raintree or not)
Omg it looks exactly like a watermelon!!!! So cool!
Some unfaceted gem rings in various lighting since they seem to do well in different lights and it’s hard to take them together so that they uniformly look good...
1st row, L to R: peruvian opal, lavender jadeite, Mexican opal, black opal
2nd: icy jadeite, green jadeite, star sapphire
3rd: moonstone, jadeite, black opal, jadeite
daylight with some sun:
Indoors shaded natural light:
Bathroom light:
It's a floating world of colour.
Beautiful and vivid!
And I'm embarrassed to ask: is this three different gems or a montage? I was searching for clues in the stone(s) or even discontinuities in the background. Pretty good deepfake .
Thank you, dear @mellowyellowgirl. You have probably seen all these on other threads, but here are some of my cabochon / non faceted gems.Ooh they are glorious and pack a big punch!!!!!

Thank you!, @mellowyellowgirl. Do you mean the rubies or the rubellite? Minerva is about 16 mm longer, 2 mm wider and 5 mm higher than the jadeite. She has more volume*drops jaw *
I have not seen that giant lolly ruby!!! Oh my goddess (haha typo I meant goodness but I’m keeping it because it fits)!!!!! Can I please have more shots of that beauty????
Minerva is marvellous!!! Is she much bigger than your beautiful jadeite?
So do I, @Starstruck8. We both love cabochons! The lighter green jadeite are icy sun jades and they are also in this bracelet. What a magnificent collection, @Crimson! It's always good to see Muzo Minerva again. I love the glow of the lighter green jadeites.

These are my latest (Christmas- themed) earrings with rubies and jadeite
.
Ah, the rubies. Because you asked about “giant lolly”, I thought it might have been the rubellite, because it because definitely meets your “not snot sized” criterion. The rubies are 5 ct. and 8 ct.,Burmese. I am sometimes asked whether they are antique. They are modern, but with an old world feelThe rubies!!!! I don’t remember seeing the rubies!!!
These earrings are glorious!!!!! Love!!!
