Did you ask Dan if he could do a yellow grossular garnet? I got one from him a few weeks ago and it''s a really pretty sunny yellow --- sorry I don''t have any pics - I didn''t get around to taking any straight away, and then when I tried had a flat battery.

BA was that the new stone had posted a couple weeks back? I''d love to see pics!

Hey AJ, so I''m sure you''ve already seen this (and I''m not sure if you''ve ruled out helidor - sounds like you''re focusing more on garnets) but that pear helidor on the Finewater site is pretty much making me drool every time I see it. I think you''re looking for something more "golden" than lemony, but I wanted to point it out just in case!

OOoooh, nice meralani mint. I like the bluish green color to this one. I always get drawn to stones that are minty.

I don''t think I''ve seen this cutter mentioned here before. He''s in Australia and well respected amongst fellow lapidarists who post on the gemology site.

Hey AJ and BEG, I'll try and get some photos of my garnet - I would describe it as a sunny yellow

- the only problem is by the time I get home from work there's never any sunshine left

I'll see what I can do though....in the meantime good luck with your hunt, hope someone can find something for you --- do you have a project in mind?

ETA - BEG it was the new stone a few weeks ago
