Nope, it wasn''t last night. I got an really terrible ear ache (more like a stabbing pain) and spent a while laying in bed (away from J playing Guitar Hero which can get LOUD), waiting for medicine to kick in. For the same reason, we didn''t end up going to the blues club (and I think my one friend was a bit upset with me but oh well). Bleh.

But (in case you haven''t heard enough sappy stuff about J yet

) he was so sweet. He came into the bedroom to check on me, and just stroked my hair and my face and told me how beautiful he thinks I am...which was absolutely lovely but made me feel badly about messing up his plans from Thursday, so I apologized one more time. He told me that I shouldn''t be sorry because he''s doing this all for me and it''ll be better than his other plan in the end. I said that I''m sure any of his plans would''ve be wonderful since it''s all about him and what he says anyway, and that if I didn''t have such a big mouth, we''d already be engaged. He cuddled me and just said, "soon, babe, it''ll be soon" and stroked my hair again.

So, yeah, not yet, but my nails are ready (gave myself a mani/pedi yesterday

), so anytime is fine with me!

I just have to say that I am so, SO excited for you, Gwen! Things have just been going really well for you with the job and finally getting to live with him intead of having a LDR--I think getting engaged and getting to spend 2.5 weeks here with your family is just icing on the cake! Yay for you, Gwen!!

You''re absolutely right, NEL--things have been going really well lately! It''s easy to lose track a bit when going through day-to-day stuff, but you''re spot on. I have much to be thankful for. Thank you for being excited for me!

Man, I did tons of wriggling myself this weekend, especially when talking to friends and family from home (they wished me a happy birthday all weekend). I''m a huge believer in not proposing on another holiday so that the proposal doesn''t overshadow the holiday in the first place. (Oh who am I kidding? I just want another day to celebrate each year!) And besides, this way he''ll do something better! It''s a win win for everyone (minus your LIWitis, but hey, after keeping him waiting for so long, I think he''s entitled to let you wait a while longer!!!)
