Kajamie, that's a whole lotta bling goin on there! Gorgeous.

I wanted to share mine because I enjoy this thread so much. I managed to catch just a bit of fire on my first photoshoot, so here we go...

Ellen, I love this ring. I know from reading some past threads that there were some issues you had to deal with, but it is simply gorgeous. Enjoy it.

I''ve got one too!

Kajamie, yes, but the issues are becoming a distant memory, and I truly am loving this ring.

Thank you!

k9, purty!!

here is my newly repaired .32 vs1-vs2 oval bezel:) it is tiny compared to most on here, but I just love it! David Keeling of Edmonton Alberta did the repair for me. I am thrilled!

trying to get the perfect shot of my ring 054.jpg

My wife''s new ER... It is not easy to take a picture of ''fire.'' The camera lens seems to somehow remove the sparkle that your eyes see. I have some cool jpeg movies but they are too big to upload.

Cathers, size doesn''t matter, they''re all pretty! Love your ring, and thanks for posting!

Speed, yes, it can be tricky. The best place is in the sun. Just experiment with positions of the ring, and times of day. I get different shots sometimes depending on where the sun is. Also, sometimes I can get really good ones if the camera is NOT focused on the ring. Surprisingly, I''ve had many come out still clear and crisp, with huge fire flares, without being in focus. Try that!

And thanks for posting!

I''m not sure if this is classed as fire but here it is anyway! I was sitting typing (my desk is next to the window) and I looked down and saw this......

Wow Gary, that diamond is gorgeous! I get my best photos under my tree with broad leaves. Must be the green leaves, brown trunk and over all shade that make an ideal place of a great diamond photo shoot.

that is stunning Dhog

This is the 9.02ct F strong blue fluoro I sold last year - see how firey it is under a tree with broad leaves - and so much for cloudy fluoro diamonds!!!!

Note the out of focus shots

- same diamond - all shots taken at the same time
This is the diamond I was referring to. (page 7 of this topic)

I love this picture. It''s certainly nothing flashy, but I think that''s what makes me like it so. Just a clean, "quiet" picture.

I am wondering... does anyone have pictures of fire coming off of a stone that is not a diamond? I see fire out of my sapphire all the time (must get pictures... shame on me!)... I know spinels and other gemstones will produce fire also... I would love to see some.
Now let me go try to capture my sapphire fire!

BTW -- Ellen... your fire pictures are amazing... I love them all!!!
