It's taken me a fair bit time to get here, I initially started researching over a year ago - but thanks to the advice on here (me annoying Gypsy a lot) the final engagement ring photos from SK are here.

There still needs to be some minor adjustments as I noticed the prongs are not quite symmetrical so I've gone back to SK.






Will write up a proper review once everything is all done and dusted - but props go out to ERD and SK.

My new engagement ring . Emerald cut center stone with 2 outer rows of round stones and baguette cuts flanking the center.
Edit: No band, but I'm not so sure I need one with the round stone rows on the top and bottom. They give the illusion of a band.

The engagement ring is 14k WG 1/2 carat "past present future" ring with 2 tiny diamonds inside the band between the engraved words.
The wedding band is 3.90 carat eternity band in 14k WG. The diamonds ds are VS2 G-H.

And here is my "right hand ring" which I covet every bit as much as my wedding set.
This is my 14k WG 4 carat untreated Ceylon sapphire oval cut surrounded by 1 carat of brilliant cut VS2 G diamonds.
My husband gifted me this stunning beauty as a Mother's day gift when I was pregnant with our first son. Our son's birthstone is sapphire. This ring is very special to me.
To add, it's also a JQL ring "Jaqu de Lili" stamped JQL inside.

Not my engagement ring (I didn't have one ) but this belonged to my great aunt. It was bought for her in 1927, she had a long engagement, got married in 1935. 1.2cts in platinum, no idea of grade, but the diamonds were white and sparkly. Still looks pretty modern!

I lost a bunch of weight in the last year, and I decided to have a new setting made rather than compromise the structural integrity of the old one. I actually had two made: one that was just like the old one (in 18k rose gold) and one in 14k yellow, because part of me always thought that the color of 14k yellow gold would go best with my diamond. So...I took both to my setter, and, after seeing my diamond in both, I decided to go with the yellow one. It takes a bit of getting used to. There is less colorful contrast, but it seems more traditional (I think the style of the ring used to always be made in 14k yellow), and I think I like it! I have the rose gold setting, waiting in case I change my mind. But here's the new one. 5.01ct GIA L/VS1 Early Round Brilliant. Size 6 ring.
