Claire my cat Dewey is the same way! He''s a MEAAAAN drunk! If you go near him he attacks your feet, then runs all through the house, then comes back, scratches the couch, repeat 5 times until his buzz wears off. Hahaha. Our other boy Trooper isn''t affected by it at all though. Weird!

You ladies are so funny, I wanted to keep up with the small talk thread this month but it''s only the 3rd and you already have 15 pages! Way to much for me to catch up on!

But speaking of catnip; I used to work at a pet store/garden center and we would always get farm cats in and I would have to give them catnip to settle them down so people would buy them!

Oh and has anyone ever planted catnip in their gardens? I did and that $%#@ is everywhere! I can’t kill it! I’m going crazy trying to!

I have a dumb question, because I''m allergic to cats and never had one as a pet:

Do cats eat catnip? Or do they just smell it/play with it?

Well I don''t have any cats, but my dog eats anything. The I took her to the emergency vet the other day...3 hours and $300 later they tell me to "expect a lot of gas, but other than that, she''s fine"

Thanks Elle... that''s where I usually go too. It''s just for when people reference a specific girl''s ring and I want to see which one it is... No biggie though. I''ve managed to find enough pics of my dream ring to keep me content until I get my own, haha! The tacori 2620 with a rb

Thanks!! His name is Charley, but he''s adopted a slew of nicknames (ie. The Chunk, Chunksta... don''t ask, we''re weird, lol). He''s my FF''s only weakness... they''re adorable together!

Do any of girls have friends that don't seem to be happy for you? Background I was best friends with this girl almost our entire lives but we've drifted the past few years b/c she became very into her bf and just didn't make an effort to keep up the friendship. Lately though we've been keeping in touch on a regular basis, so I gave her an update on me and SO (we are picking out a ring this weekend!) and I told her venues we were interested in etc, and the only thing she had to say was "I'm happy for you" Idk maybe I'm overreacting but I expected I little more for 20 years of friendship you know? Am I just being silly? She doesn't have the greatest relationship with her bf so maybe that's part of it?

ETA and when I tried to bring up wedding/engagement stuff again, she never responded

I did have a friend like that, and now we''re no longer friends.

Girls are often times jealous and competitive. She may love you to pieces, but is just not able to be happy for you.

I don''t know if that makes her a bad friend, or if it''s just bad timing, or what, but its pretty common.

I''m sorry you have to deal with that.. it really is a tough situation.

I''m thinking I''m going to go to Target/Best Buy/Borders and just get him things I know will make him laugh. Funny books, funny movies, silly gifts, etc. A goofball package. I''m seriously the worst girlfriend in the world. ARGH.

And I''m sorry your friend isn''t so excited for you, purselover, it''s frustrating when our friends can''t be totally supportive.

Yeah it''s hard not to take things personally sometimes, I always saw us being very involved in each others weddings, and now I just feel like why don''t you like me anymore? Not all friendships can remain close forever though, it''s just a shame.

I used to have friends like that but I had to step away from them b/c they just made me unhappy all the time and put me down. I''m sorry your friend isn''t happier for you, some people just don''t know how to be happy for other people.

I do have a friend that is getting married in January and I keep asking about her plans and if she has been dress shopping and all that good stuff. Well she asked one of our mutual friends if they would ask me to stop b/c everytime I talk about it I was stealing her thunder. I really didn''t understand it because we were talking about HER wedding and nothing to do with me.

Some people are just brats!
