FF''s 2 year old laptop just blew a video card.. and the replacement for the piece is 400 dollars... plus labor and blahblahblah.


So likely 600 dollars to fix it. Is it even worth it? I''m wondering if we should just get a new one. But... it''ll likely be 1500 for a new one.

My skin was horrific when I went off of it, unfortunately.

Our relations have not been good either. Thats on my end, just no desire. Its annoying... I used to want it ALL THE TIME, now... I feel like I could go forever without having it.

I''m at a loss as to what to do next. I know its not hormone levels, because I just had my testosterone tested.

I guess its mental.

Yeah, thats why I went off the BC in the first place. Going off didn''t help much. We thought it was ruining our sex life. We used to have sex 3-4 times a DAY when we first started dating.

Up until about year 2... it was still about once a week.

Now its once a month, because he drags me into the bedroom!

The weird thing is... once we get into it, I enjoy it. But getting me to go into the bedroom and start is a hassle. 5 minutes in... I''m already glad we started. It''s gotta be mental. I almost feel like its a hassle... like "oh its going to take "X" amount of time, and i have Blah Blah Blah to do"

I hate acting like we''ve been married 30 years. We should be having awesome sex right now. UGH!

That''s the issue I have, too! I''m a little more into things now, but I definitely have to be convinced. With Mirena, though, the spontenaiety (screw spelling, I put vowels where I want!) is back. So if I want to, we can. No condoms, no nothing.

And if you OB doesn''t know what she''s doing it might hurt. I got a pill to take to soften things up. I actually posted about it in Family, Home, and Health in the Mirena thread. I posted the day I got it so that I could accurately describe it. It did hurt for a little while, and I could feel it in there, bouncing around. The first period was hell. Almost cried at my desk and asked to go home hell. But once it was over, there was nothing. No pain, I can''t feel it, life is good. IMO, it''s totally worth some pain. It hurt like a piercing hurts. Really, it was the 2 or 3 days afterwards that sucked. But really. SO worth it. (Just make sure your insurace will cover it!)

If you had decided to not have any kids already, (or not any MORE kids) and wanted some permanent birth control--would you get your tubes tied or would you want him to get his done?

And what would he want?

I think, and correct me if I''m wrong... it''s much less invasive for him to get snipped. However there is also the chance that it doesn''t *take* and we could still get pregnant. I think. I''m not sure how accurate my statements are.

FF would definitely get the vasectomy, and we''ve discussed that he''d do that once we were done having kids. If he happened to be really opposed to the idea, I''d get my tubes tied for sure.

Here''s my theory: If you get your tubes tied and you still wind up preggers, you''re at higher risk for ectopic pregnancies (again, IF you get pregnant). If he gets it done, then if somehow you end up preggers, it would at least most likely be a normal, uterine (is that a word?) pregnancy. Less potential harm. PLUS I believe it''s a less invasive procedure.

Ditto. It''s less invasive for him, and is also easier to reverse just in case you change your mind. But I know you wouldn''t so, who cares about that.
