I''d say 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure.
I think that the only way we''d have actual from-our-DNA kids, is if there was an accident. As I''ve mentioned elsewhere, FI has these things going against him (health related):
1. Congenital heart defect (*fixed* 3 years ago, but will have to undergo said surgery again in ten years, and every 10-15 years after that)
2. Heart disease from his mom
3. Cancer from his mom
4. Diabetes from his mom
Seeing FI after his surgery, 3 months into our relationship was probably one of the worst things ever. His sternum was sawed in half, he couldn''t breathe on his own, he couldn''t move, he couldn''t eat, etc etc etc. Even after getting out of the hospital, he couldn''t lift things over ten pounds, he can''t lift weights in certain ways for fear of ripping apart his sternum on accident. Three years after that, he can hardly remember it--and he''s lucky because I remember it vividly.
He would NEVER want to put a kid through what he went through. And then he has to do it AGAIN for the rest of his life?! And even the smallest risk of that defect, or what his mom had, which led to a full heart transplant...no go right there. That''s not even getting into 2, 3, and 4.
As for my health history...it''s unknown because I''m adopted.
So if we were to have kids, they would be adopted for not only the reasons listed above, but also social responsibility and other things I can''t think of at the moment...
daammn. i missed out on much today! and i could have chimed in too
so to recap - those who all have lost the "feeling" - i am right there with you. but to me, its not BC (although the pain thing TOTALLY makes sense now). I just... don't want it. but maybe taking for VitD will help?

Ok, I need to vent for a second. Don''t mind me.
How is it that USPS delivered my engagement party invites already and I mailed them YESTERDAY (after 4pm!), but that my package is still missing after I mailed it out May 13th?!?!?!?!

Tidbit of advice for the day (courtesy of my customer):
Save sex for marriage. That way you don''t know what bad sex is like. And if you do have bad sex, you have nothing to compare it to.

I just wrote out my MS Outlook Out-of-Office auto assistant message.
I''d like it to say:
''Elle will be out of the office on Friday, June 5. SO F OFF!''
Man I wish I could write that. I wonder if anyone would even notice.
For me, it''s been both. It just sucks.Date: 6/4/2009 4:50:11 PM

Princesss, I forget, how long have you had Mirena?
I just hit the 6 month mark, and I am starting to hate it I think
Same ''drive'' effect as BC, more anxiety like on BC, and painful post-relations issues. Bad BAD PMS type symptoms.
This all JUST started happening, I think I just hit the point where the hormones are regular or whatever, because I stopped getting my period like they say happens after a few months. I am SO discouraged. It is seriously depressing. I hate fighting with my body! I don''t want kids for 3 more yearsish, and I am tired of hormones! I wish they would invent a male pill ASAP!
Liz, there was a really interesting article, I think in Marie Clare, about a woman who wanted her tubes tied and no doctors would do it because she was young and hadn''t had any kids! It was a really interesting read.
