so - honestly think the engagement will not happen on vacation. which i''ll be honest, has me sad b/c how freaking rad would that be? i would love it.

however, now at least i will not be paranoid about losing my ring. becuase i would. infact, i would probably go out an buy a cheap placement holder because i would be so scared.


buuuttt i''m still a bit sad that i know it won''t happen. i think a lot of people are expecting it.

We are leaving for Greece this week and it is like the most romantic place on earth (according to Trip Advisor), and I would loveeee to have the proposal there, BUT I found out the ring is not ready!!!

e is terrible at saving money, and i manage our account. so even if i dont look at his transactions (which, most the time i don't, i just need a balance), i know that he hasn't dropped enough cash to pay off the remaning balance, and to get the diamond set.
so, its more a bummer that he has "troubles" saving, when his only bill responsibilities are our shared bills. grrrr. actually it pisses me off to no end. but, he's slowly getting better, and i know that there was a deposit made, and layaway payments have been made. so really, i shouldn't be bitching.

step - normally i would think that, but that would, in all honesty, be me just trying to fool myself. I would hate to think only that and then to have the epic let down of vacation lifetime. As Elle said,
"screw expectations"
and enjoy the vacation!

of course, there is the possibility that his parents helped him out. but again, i am not holding my breath!


eta - wow i am really putting E down, huh? I don't mean anything i said in a bad way, but more so just a matter of fact sort of way. sorry!

sunnyd (sorry about that!! i'm losing it today!) - i checked out the ones at old navy. they are okay. I have a pair of bottoms that still fit, so i might just try to find a top to match it. bleh. i just wasnt wow'ed by any of their suits. then again, with trying to find a suit under 20 bucks, i don't think i will be wow'd by anything much!

You''re right about not fooling yourself. Far better to be crazy happy shocked than miserably let down. I try to not get myself worked up into thinking something is coming either but at times my brain goes on its own merry way into thinking up something just to be like oh...didn''t happen...again. So elle is right just go enjoy!

And no I don''t think you are putting E down. Everybody has faults. Being a bad saver doesn''t make him a bad guy!

I bought a bikini at Old Navy once, and the triangle boobie covers were cut weird, so one boob looked crooked all the time. It was like 15 bucks, but I never wore it.
