I feel like this is the way to do it, Princesss. We just find what we want and grab it. Its been smooth sailing so far, but we don''t want a huge wedding. Part of the thing that helped is that we knew what reception and photographer we wanted from a LONG time ago. It just so happened that they were both open on short notice, on the same day. It was luck, really.

B: I added my name to the list on BWW, but haven''t posted anything yet. I haven''t really had any questions or concerns yet. Except... I have no idea how long it takes to get a wedding gown! I''m such a n00b!

The wedding will be 30 people. 32 if you include us. My parents, brother, and his GF. J''s parents, his brother, and sister-in-law, and then all close friends. We will have small reception/celebration the following weekend and J''s parents house to invite his extended family. He has 25 aunts and uncles.

Ridiculous.

Depends. I took mine home with me (sample sale) or it can take months. But you can rush it also.

Elle jump on that dress shopping, woman! I literally ordered mine with a day to spare, about a month ago for a 9/12 "wedding". So, for real, get going! You can rush some designers, but not all. Buying a sample is a great idea, too.

Work is just super stressful at the moment--I have a big training coming up tomorrow and I''ve been under a lot of pressure. I like working at a nonprofit, but the stress level is way higher than I thought it would be. Week before last I worked 70 hours. Last week was a light one--only a 50 hour week. This week is looking like it''ll be another 50 hours.

When I hear people talking about how crazy it is that first year lawyers are expected to work 2500 hours a year, it makes me laugh. I work more than that now and I probably get paid less than half what a first year associate makes.

I miss getting to spend relaxing time with FI. Between work and working on the house, it is rare for us to have time to chill.
