So after looking at things a few weeks ago, I am pretty sure he either called or is calling the jewelry store sometime soon. I''m ususally a really snoopy person (I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE to know! :-p) but I''ve been soooo good lately about not trying to find anything out. I''d feel horrible if I ruined something that special (especially if I did it on purpose!).

So - I guess I''m asking, how do you not think about it? Especially when I open the newspapers and see Bridal Shows and Expos and Engagement Ring ads and such?

I''ve finally gotten to the point where I don''t get paranoid about ''when?" (even though I''d secretly like to know, cuz waiting isn''t fun!) but I think about how wonderful just spending time with him is, and how lucky I am. I finally realized the time I waste agonizing over it is time I don''t get to fully appreciate what I have right now.

(Still doesn''t stop me from thinking and pondering!) ack!

I think the easiest way is to be 100% honest, sit him down and tell him that you are thinking about the future and want to know where he stands on the topic, and where he imagines we will be in 12 months, 2 years, 10 years, whatever. The key to a good relationship is communication I believe, so having a good heart to heart can make you both feel stronger and more positive about things, and at least you know that you are on the same page. There are lots of LIWs that have been convinved that things are about to move to the next level (me included) only to be suprised and disappointed when it hasn''t happened. I am really glad we had THE TALK, it takes away the stress and you can just enjoy being together. Good luck!
