I''m OK. I had a bad sinus headache yesterday and was in bed most of the day. Still have it today, but not as bad. Yucky.

I''ve been spending my time today shopping for dresses. I''ve come to the conclusion that I need to dress to the nines in Vegas (at least at night), and there are some really cute dresses out there right now. Unfortunately I''m finding more dresses than I''ll ever need on a 5 day stay in Vegas, so I''m trying to decide and it''s hard.

However, I have decided on shoes for just about all of the dresses I like.

LOL...here''s a craaaaazy question for you: do you ever buy outfits to match shoes you already own or do you just buy more shoes? Probably a dumb question.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that everything works out as it should!

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that everything works out as it should!

I haven't had to buy or put on a suit yet. I can imagine it would feel totally unnatural and like I'm playing dress-up. Only adults wear suits, right?

And on a side note - OMFG. I get married in 19 days!

based on my research, if they think I have what it takes, they'll keep me for 2-3 interviews (same day). First you do a screening type with the hr generalist, then you see someone more senior, then maybe director...that's what's making me nervous. If I only see the one person, then I'll know I probably didn't get the job.

Want to have smart answers too...this is nervewracking! What kind of questions did they ask you on your interview Elle?

eta: I can't believe it's only 19 more days! HOLY ****!

The final inteview (the 2nd one) I had a bunch of weird questions by a guy who thought he was really intuitive.

He prided himself on making a girl cry in an interview once. Seriously? So I doubt I''d use his questions as a reference for you. His questions/demeanor were what made me already decide I didn''t want the job.

I do have a book (somewhere) that helps you by listing common interview questions, and good ways to craft answers. One of the commonly asked questions was "What is your biggest weakness?" They suggested answering with someone that is a positive, but just over done. LIke "I take on too many projects because I do a thorough job,so I need to learn how to delegate and let others help me." Something like that. I''m out of it so maybe that wasn''t the best example.

Other questions I''ve gotten:

What personalities do you work best with?
What would your coworkers say about you?
What is your greatest skill or asset?

And then there are the behavioral based ones, where they put you in a situation, and you have to explain how you''d handle it. Those are scary!

And always always always have intelligent questions to ask the person hiring you!

Freke, you dont have to be dressed to bthe nines, unless you want. This weekend was fight weekend and let me tell you it was crazy. Good thing the bf has connections or we would have never gotten into the club this weekend

I don''t wear a lot of dresses normally (like ever), so I want to wear some because it''s a special occasion, AND because I want to wear a whole bunch of high heels.

Sorry for the drive by, I won''t be posting much this week. But please, somebody remind me that jealousy is not constructive, and it won''t change the situation at all. (Some of my coworkers got chosen to help implement a new system world-wide, and they get to take AWESOME business trips that I''m super jealous of.) Logically I know that there are multiple reasons I wasn''t selected, and I know it speaks highly of my coworkers and I''m proud of them (the three of us used to sit together). I''m just disappointed in myself that I haven''t been working hard enough to get noticed for stuff like that (although, again, logically I know even if I was the best my part of the department doesn''t get chosen for stuff like this). So yeah. I''m just pouty and jealous, and it''s not a good thing and I''m trying to get over it.

Also! Totally random. I had a proposal dream last night. BF proposed with this 1.5ct D IF EC (looked like a 3.5ct on my hand!) ring that somehow cost $98k. Gorgeous, but I sat there thinking "What about my .85 L/VS1 GOG OEC?" I''m a weirdo.

I've been spending my time today shopping for dresses. I've come to the conclusion that I need to dress to the nines in Vegas (at least at night), and there are some really cute dresses out there right now. Unfortunately I'm finding more dresses than I'll ever need on a 5 day stay in Vegas, so I'm trying to decide and it's hard.

However, I have decided on shoes for just about all of the dresses I like.

LOL...here's a craaaaazy question for you: do you ever buy outfits to match shoes you already own or do you just buy more shoes? Probably a dumb question.

Um. Usually I just buy whatever outfit I like, and then, seeing as I have a bajillion pairs of shoes, I'll think about what pairs will go best. Like when I bought this olive-y silk green top from Ann Taylor Loft, decided to pair it with black pants, and my sky high gold Steve Madden peeps....

Although not long ago I bought a pair of Issac Mizrahi black peeps with an architectural bow to go with this other Ann Taylor Loft dress that's black on top, and a bright pink skirt. I didn't have any other black peeps! (Still need another pair actually...)

So if you asked FI this question, he'd say that I just buy more shoes. Not the case! I buy shoes when I don't have any others that will work!

(I need to buy an outfit for my Naughty Monkeys though...)

ETA: I ended up buying 3 dresses last night. WOOT!

elle - i work at 730, and am usually up with E at 530am anyways. so 6 am class isnt THAT bad. but last night was the first night i slept the whole night through. so, no wakey at 530.
19 days!??!?! CRAZY!!! thats the same weekend as my good friends!!

Princess - that sucks about the trips. but hey, i guess in some case jealous can be good, so you know what to strive for?

I hate wearing suits too because they''re so uncomfortable, but man do I feel powerful when I put them on!

They would be disgusting...I wonder if they even make them! My cube quad always tries to find the grossest candy. If I could get black peeps it might beat out the sea tangle! It tasted like pickled fish.
