I''ve been spending my time today shopping for dresses. I''ve come to the conclusion that I need to dress to the nines in Vegas (at least at night), and there are some really cute dresses out there right now. Unfortunately I''m finding more dresses than I''ll ever need on a 5 day stay in Vegas, so I''m trying to decide and it''s hard.

However, I have decided on shoes for just about all of the dresses I like.

LOL...here''s a craaaaazy question for you: do you ever buy outfits to match shoes you already own or do you just buy more shoes? Probably a dumb question.

Um. Usually I just buy whatever outfit I like, and then, seeing as I have a bajillion pairs of shoes, I''ll think about what pairs will go best. Like when I bought this olive-y silk green top from Ann Taylor Loft, decided to pair it with black pants, and my sky high gold Steve Madden peeps....

Although not long ago I bought a pair of Issac Mizrahi black peeps with an architectural bow to go with this other Ann Taylor Loft dress that''s black on top, and a bright pink skirt. I didn''t have any other black peeps! (Still need another pair actually...)

So if you asked FI this question, he''d say that I just buy more shoes. Not the case! I buy shoes when I don''t have any others that will work!

(I need to buy an outfit for my Naughty Monkeys though...)

ETA: I ended up buying 3 dresses last night. WOOT!

Mmmmhmmmm....I''m inclined to believe your FI.

Just kidding. But you must post these black peeps. I so love me some black peeps. And not the marshmallow kind.

They would be disgusting...I wonder if they even make them! My cube quad always tries to find the grossest candy. If I could get black peeps it might beat out the sea tangle! It tasted like pickled fish.

My guess is seaweed of some sort? It''s all from this Japanese store on the bottom of Westlake. For some, the only way we know what it is is by looking at the ingredients and hoping they''re in English. Hahaha they were gross.

Sorry for the drive by, I won''t be posting much this week. But please, somebody remind me that jealousy is not constructive, and it won''t change the situation at all. (Some of my coworkers got chosen to help implement a new system world-wide, and they get to take AWESOME business trips that I''m super jealous of.) Logically I know that there are multiple reasons I wasn''t selected, and I know it speaks highly of my coworkers and I''m proud of them (the three of us used to sit together). I''m just disappointed in myself that I haven''t been working hard enough to get noticed for stuff like that (although, again, logically I know even if I was the best my part of the department doesn''t get chosen for stuff like this). So yeah. I''m just pouty and jealous, and it''s not a good thing and I''m trying to get over it.

Waiting for the tax prep guy to finish with another client. Once he calls me, we are going to 3-way with the IRS. He says I should expect it to take at least 2 hours and be the "stupidist" phone call I''ve ever had.


Princess -- be glad you don''t have to travel much, then when you are planning your wedding you won''t have to worry about being busy with business travel (okay, it is a stretch but I like to try to find the positive)

Funny part is the tax prep guy used to work for the IRS. For over 20 years.

I hate waiting though. I''d rather just get it done. I haven''t even gotten to take a shower yet. As soon as I get in I know the phone will ring. It always does.
(and at $250/hour, I don''t want to keep him waiting)

Awwwww, that kitty is just too cute. I remeber when my babies were that size. Speaking of babies, i gotta take my little boy dog to the vet in the m...hes coughing again, im so afraid that he is dying.....everything i even think about him, i fight back tears. C and i both just watched him this weekend and held each other and cried, because we know whats comming and we are so afraid, and dont want to lose him.

Freke...i love your dresses, i like the grey one the best.

Okay ladies, i think i might made a BIG mistake. Okay, well not big, but i was on the Miami Dolphins website, im a huge fan and i was looking at the cheer uniforms for the girls. Well, i wanted to find out about auditions and i think i may have registered for tryouts. I thought i was signing up for notifications for auditiong but right now Im sitting here right now looking at a confirmation for cheer tryouts in April

Thank you all for the luck. The more i think baout it, and the more everyone tells me i shouldnt do it, the more i want. So yes, i think im gonna do it. Im not going to tryout until the season after next, so for the 2011 cheer squad, just because i need much prep, but im gonna do it.
