I get migraines, and this one doesnt feel like one... and she doesnt think it''s sinus, so she didnt want to give me antibiotics.

Neither of us are sure what it is, maybe its just tension? Whatever it is, it wont go away. I took the vicodin about 45 minutes ago and still not feeling anything so I have no idea.
Hmmmm...bizarre. Definitely not allergies right? You''re living in a new place maybe you''re allergic to something?

Go Bia!!! ***DUSTY*** for you!

Aw, Elle. Hope that vicodin kicks in soon. Headaches are the worst...

Jcar, I''m jealous. I so need an extra day off.

Wow. If it is not environmental allergies it could very well be a food allergy. I have both and the food allergies can create migraines that make you feel like you are about to pass out. Do you take a multi vitamin? Try some yoga/meditation, green tea and try to relax. It could very well be tension and worry over these migraines is just making you hurt worse. I know I said a lot of "it coulds" but I hope you feel better soon. I am not doctor but I am a migraine suffer. They suck enormously and they lay you out on your butt where you can''t do squat. Get well soon!

I have a really bad sinus infection and I have to take antibiotics for 10 days 3 times a day. I have been home from work since Monday and will return for tomorrow. The first 12-18 hours I could have nothing but water & broth[ :knockout:]. Then I had to do the BRAT diet which is bananas, rice, apple sauce & tea-crackers & toast

.

I know it should be BRATCT but that is not a word. Tee hee. Next I have to slowly progress to more solid foods. It has been awful! I know it is what''s best for this sinus thingy but "real" food gives me strength and I do not like feeling weak! But I am not going to complain. Rice and stuff is much better than broth!

Also, I had a phone interview (AKA screening process) yesterday for a job that I really want. It lasted 20 minutes and was with 3 people (a director, assistant director, and a manager). My friend who gives phone interviews said it sounds like thing went well. BTW, good luck to you Bia! It was with an IT department and I believe I did very well. I am trying to be positive since I feel sick. Anyway I will know where I stand next week or so and if I get a second interview.

Okay, enough of my blabbing!

Bia -- Congratulations on a great interview and good luck & dust on getting the job.

Elle -- Headaches are miserable. Especially when they won''t go away. I find that stress gives me a nasty headache that can last for days. Have you tried an ice pack on the back of your neck & head? (wrap it in a towel -- doesn''t have to be super cold) It may not fix it, but it helps sometimes.

Morning Ladies

Thanks jcarlylew. Luckly the guy who did it fessed up and has said he will pay for the repairs.

I''m just really gutted bacuse it was in such fantastic condition for a 13 yr old car with only a couple little stone chips on the paint work....and now the door''s concave and dosn''t open and there''s scartches and dents all over the drivers side. My mum''s a bit upset too because it''s ment to be my present from them for my 21st birthday next Saturday.

*sigh* now I have a headache too.

Poo on your MOH Sunnyd!

Hope you feel better Elle!

I bought PEARL earrings today! I didn''t think it was possible!)

WOOHOO BIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!

Dear Brad Paisley,

I''ve been a fan for a while. You never fail to amuse me, and your songs have been a big part of the soundtrack to my life since discovering country music. Songs like "Alcohol" and "Letter to Me" have provided hours of entertainment.

I feel like we''ve had a good relationship. I''ve bought your albums for myself and for my siblings, I''ve called in and requested your songs on my local radio station, and in return you''ve given me funny songs ("I''m Still A Guy") and sweet songs ("Then") that I have loved.

So you can imagine my distress when your lastest single hit the airwaves. You see, I''m kind of a nerd. And I feel like the nerds in country music are underrepresented, a fact that I have often lamented to my boyfriend. Those of us that are sticklers for things like facts and checking your references MUST be few and far between based on your latest offering to the world of inspirational country music.

I can forgive you singing "Glory, glory, Hallelujah," about TVs in buses and Pacman on your phone. It seems silly, but I understand that in the parlance of country music and the South in general, it is important to praise God for even the smallest, most unimportant things in life. God is praised equally for letting us develop televisions that we can put in our cars and for saving people from tragic events. I get that. I don''t participate in it (quite frankly, if God cares about where I watch TV, I''d be amazed), but I understand that it is an important cultural marker. You use it in your songs and people in churches all over the country (and Southerners everywhere) say, "Hey, that Brad Paisley, he''s one of us!" You''re everybody''s buddy Brad, not some big star so totally removed from reality and the effects he has on our planet that he''ll fly 2 hours home for lunch (yes, I''m talking about you, Kenny Chesney).

But here''s the thing. The one thing I can''t forgive you for are these lyrics:

I had a friend in school
Running-back on a football team
They burned a cross in his front yard
For asking out the homecoming queen
I thought about him today
Everybody who’s seen what he’s seen
From a woman on a bus
To a man with a dream
Wake up Martin Luther
Welcome to the future
Glory glory hallelujah
Welcome to the future
Now, there are a few things going on here.

First, by using the refrain "Glory, glory Hallelujah," for talking about having Pacman on your phone and an African American president, you''ve made them equals. I hope President Obama knows he''s as important and awe-inspiring as having Pacman on your phone. That''s an impressive thing, to be as important as Pacman. Surely you knew that juxtaposition creates an equal relationship, and you have given these things equal weight - or perhaps you were too busy taking advice from your sister''s boyfriend ("Start a Band") to pay attention to that important lesson in English class.

But secondly (and this is the thing that really gets me), you''ve forgotten two important words - well, names, really: "King, Jr." You see, there is a slight different between Martin Luther and Martin Luther King, Jr. One lived in the late 1400s and early 1500s, the other was most prominent in the 1960s. One nailed his 95 theses to the door of a Catholic church to protest the Church selling indulgences and started a religious revolution, the other was a revered civil rights leader who would be very proud, indeed, to see President Obama in the Oval Office. So you see, by forgetting those two little words, you''re referencing an entirely different person. I know, I know, it''s complicated keeping all of these people straight. I totally understand. You were too busy finding buddies and starting a band to pay attention in history. It''s cool. But surely somebody around you has a college education, and could have suggested that you not take artistic liberties with this one line of your song. You''re a smart, creative man; surely you could find a word to rhyme with "Junior."

So I''d like to nominate myself to be your official reference checker. I''ll go through your songs to make sure the meaning is clear, and that you don''t accidentally reference the founder of Lutheranism instead of referencing "a man with a dream." Because it''s distracting, Brad. It''s really distracting.

Sincerely,
Your dorkiest fan

Sorry, ladies, I had to get that out. It''s been eating at me for WEEKS.

Honey, I''m sorry about your car. That sucks.

Do you guys ever start second guessing yourselves when you''re waiting to hear back. I know they said I''d know in the next week or so, since they are still talking to candidates, but I''m wondering if I was going to be hired, wouldn''t they have told me same day?
39.gif

Last night I couldnt'' sleep thinking about all the things I might have changed during my interview...what''s wrong with me?!

aw bia *hugs*
don''t worry to much! a lot of times hiring managers just want to make sure, they too, made the right choice! plus the hirer the position, the more people have to approve it.

I am SURE you did great!!

Lol. Ok. Here are two pics I snapped last night (in the dark basically). They aren''t a perfect match, and they are on yellow gold posts, but I LOVE gray, and I''d been looking for basically some 6-7mm gray pearl studs for a while and NO LUCK. Just happened to go to the jeweler yesterday, and BAM! They are around 5-6mm, and were way less than I was planning on spending.

I''ll have to take better pictures some time soon.

LOL

so - its my day off today, E is sleeping until 4 and i am bored to tears. don''t want to clean, cannot unpack until E wakes up.

hmmm..

Gah. We are having our neighbors & their kids over for dinner tomorrow night and I am frantically trying to clean the house today because I don''t think I''ll have time tomorrow during the day. Meanwhile it seems like stuff keeps coming up. I had to go run some errands this morning and they took me ages, then when I got home I found that my sister (who is staying with us) had messed up the kitchen that I cleaned before I left and didn''t clean up after herself. Now she left for the weekend and I have to clean it up AGAIN. I just want to pound my head against the wall.

I''m really happy to have my sisters up here, but I am so looking forward to having the house to ourselves again.

OK, vent over. Just frustrated.

LP that sucks! i know i will be cleaning tonight and sunday morning becuase E will be having a friend over.

i just cleaned my bedroom and bathroom....in between sewing a skirt...haha, it actually looks good too
