Gah! I was just about to jump on one of the burberry umbrellas over at gilt and I had it in my cart and everything. Then Kris called and made me feel really guilty about spending that much on an umbrella. So now there is no umbrella and I am really really bummed about it.

I feel like I shouldn''t be mad at him, but I kind of am. He then tried to be all ''oh, no, you can get it!'' but it just wasn''t the same. Now if I got it I would just feel bad about it, whereas before I was really excited.

Poop.
Lame.

I''m of the belief that occasionally there are things that are way overpriced, but we love them so much it''s worth it. I had a Coach umbrella for 4 years that made me SO happy. Everytime it rained I smiled because I got to use it. My new umbrella is cheerful, but it''s not the same.

*hug* It sucks when happy things don''t work out.
Hehehe, I am so with you guys. I just bought a coach umbrella for the first time the other day! And I love it! LOL! I was in there buying my sister''s Xmas present, it was pouring outside and my cheap $3 umbrella had broken. I asked to see their umbrellas and almost had a heart attack at the price! I bought it anyway, and now it brings me so much joy when it''s raining! LOL.

Get it, get it! I totally would get one if I hadn''t just gotten one!

Boys are so retarded. HOw much was it. Go buy it now!

It was like $120. It does sound like a lot for an umbrella, but I dunno--I just liked it. Now I can''t get it though because there is a possibility that he went back and got it for me for Christmas to try to surprise me even though I told him not to.

I appreciate surprises but sometimes I just wish he wouldn''t focus on that part of it!

This is the one I liked--I think it''s really cute.

We''ll see--what I actually asked for for Christmas are rainboots, so maybe he''ll do both.

Ahhhh, maybe he''ll get you the matching rain boots...

HELP me decide please:

Is it better to get an Associate in Science degree along the way to getting a Bachelor''s in computer engineering or to skip the associate''s?

I''m trying to register and need to decide ASAP. I am so torn.

Any advice?

I don''t think it will really matter in the long run--unless you need the specific classes for what you''d want to do, I''d skip it.

Awww I like those boots...a lot...

Unfortunately I just dropped a pretty penny on one of DH''s Christmas presents this morning...I''d rather get the boots for myself.

So Ms. Hawk--I see that you're over on the TTC thread...any word yet?

ETA: By the way, we just watched Hudson Hawk the other day! Awesome.

Oooooh, what did you get him? I need ideas! I don''t know what to get SO. I already got him some business cards but gave them to him already because he needed them!

Nothing yet, good or bad. AF is MIA and I''ve had two negatives so who knows wtf is up with my body.

Isn''t HH a great movie? People don''t give it enough credit, it''s my bf Bruce in his heyday...

That is weird HH.

That is weird! I know it might not be the right time, but it would be kind of cute to have a li''l Hawk around. No?

TP-sorry to say but Associate''s are worthless. Skip it all together.

Thanks HH & LP.

That is what I was leaning towards but didn''t want to make the final choice until I got some feedback from other people. I know very few people IRL who went to college so wanted to check with all the great ladies here.

I''m going to go ahead and skip the Associate''s. I''ve already got enough to focus on with the Bachelor''s requirements plus trying to get some prerequisites done for the university I''ll be transferring to.

ADs are good if you''re starting out at a Jr. College with the intent to transfer into a full Batchelors program. I''ve never met someone who has a lucrative and successful career w/ and AD (though I''m sure people do achieve this)

I'm starting out at a community college. (Formerly called Bellevue Community College now just Bellevue College). I plan to transfer to the UW to complete my Bachelor's degree.

BC has a transfer degree program that I am following. Can either do just those specifically needed to transfer or can get an AD on the way.

ETA: Here is a link to the transfer degree info

How many mothers are there - do we know? I''m glad you''re not one of them, that would just be hard to deal with!

What''s for dinner tonight?

I think I''m doing another veggie stir fry. B wants kung pao tofu. We''ll probably wind up with some variety of tofu & veggie in kung pao sauce.
