The Michigan Senate FINALLY approved the smoking ban in bars and restaurants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elle this is awesome! I started going to bars again after we passed that law!

What''s for dinner? We''ve been bad about cooking lately, so it''s going to be whatever we order that''s not too slow. In the last 5 nights, we''ve had pasta, thai, mediterranean, chicken sandwiches, and pizza.

This is why I''m fat!

It''ll be fun but you have to do the readings AND participate!

The worst part is that I passed up another opportunity to get out of this office (for 6 months, they would have placed me in an organization''s office to do pro bono work, while still getting my regular pay) for the chance to teach this class, since I''m pretty sure that teaching is what I want to do!

BigT, thanks for the suggestion! I definitely have considered that since I actually have a few friends who are doing/have done that! We''ll see...I just have to wait for the fall now!

I might have a good class going on ri ght here on PS.

The class was supposed to be about Latino issues and the law. They said they'd keep me in mind for the future, but that wouldn't be until fall 2010.

LOL. The state is in shambles. I''m surprised they were even thinking about it considering our biggest city has an over 30% unemployment rate, Detroit Public Schools just had a "record low" on standardized tests, and... a big one for me... its like 4 degrees out.

Dinner - Well since I had a lactose intollerant episode at 2:00 a.m. last night and projectile vomitted my entire days calories I feel like I''m behind on calories for the week so I''m going to treat myself to something good. Maybe pizza. I am craving teriyaki too.....

Elle, I was in DTW 2 years ago for work, and we went out to eat and were asked smoking or non. I was so confused!! Like, wait what?! People can still smoke inside?!

Good plan. I can have some dairy but I went over my limit yesterday and I paid the price. It''s like movie puking where you just open your mouth and it sprays out. Very glamorous.
