Shoo fly?
Well, according to Wikipedia "Mincemeat is a mixture of chopped dried fruit, distilled spirits and spices, and sometimes beef suet, beef, or venison[citation needed]. Originally, mincemeat always contained meat.[1] Many modern recipes contain beef suet, though vegetable shortening is sometimes used in its place. Mincemeat, and similar variants are found in the UK, Ireland, Brittany, northern Europe, as well as the United States and Canada."Date: 12/11/2009 12:09:34 PM

LP: I lurve that ornament! Too cute!!!
elle: We usually don''t have pie...when we had xmas at grandmas, it was always finger-desserts (cookies, mini cheesecakes, brownies, etc)...but I''d say anything with chocolate (french silk comes to mind) or a cream (coconut or banana) would be delish...and all the whipped cream on top looks very festive...like snow piles!
Ditto. Maybe I''ll make hamantaschens?Date: 12/11/2009 12:13:57 PM

mincemeat is a traditional English Christmas dessert. As is Christmas pudding.
I''d do the same types of pie you see for Thanksgiving-pumpkin, pecan, apple, etc. You could also do bread pudding.

I''m norwegian so we eat Lefse for christmas.
It''s looks sorta like a tortilla but it''s made w/ potatoes and sugar and milk and stuff. My Sister and I make them every year and it takes about 3-4 hours to make about 3-4 dozen! You put butter and sugar on them and roll em up and eat them. Most people that didn''t grow up eating it don''t like it.Date: 12/11/2009 12:24:45 PM

Lefse is a traditional soft Norwegian flatbread. Tjukklefse or tykklefse (thick lefse) is thicker, and often served with coffee as a cake. Lefse is made out of potato, milk or cream (or sometimes lard) and flour, and cooked on a griddle. Special tools are available for lefse baking, including long wooden turning sticks and special rolling pins with deep grooves.
