Back and all caught up...MAN you guys talked a lot about crap while I was gone...SHEESH!!!

Lunch for me was Thai food, and it was YUMMMMM.

And elle, I totally know what you mean by having the PG tests under the sink. I''ve skipped mine a few times on the pill and I FREAK OUT. Totally.

ugh. We''d usually get similar vacation time but we (law firm) have a big trial on Jan 4th.

I get three weeks plus 1 1/2 weeks for Christmas break. That''s one great thing about working in academia, the time off. I get long weekends pretty often too.

I''m even thinking that maybe staying in this job till I finish my next degree isn''t a bad idea. Even though I feel like Im wasting time.

I''m even thinking that maybe staying in this job till I finish my next degree isn''t a bad idea. Even though I feel like Im wasting time.

For 2009 We got 2 weeks vacation and 8 personal days.

I had to take a week off in April for finals (ugh) and then a week for the honeymoon. The personal days are all used up as well.

Next year we just get "PTO" days. So I''ll have 18 for whatever. But I usually end up nickel and diming away my time off.

I still have 4 vacation days left that will carry over in January. I am thinking of using them next week but then I feel bad because my colleagues don''t always use all theirs.

I shouldn''t feel bad using my time but since Im usually the only one in the office, I''m like the gatekeeper. But time is time right?

Haha. I''m the wrong person to ask. I have no qualms about using my time!

Haha. I''m the wrong person to ask. I have no qualms about using my time!

I''m with elle on this one. Fortunately I also still have a lot of time to take. We try to plan trips and such in line with Federal Holidays to minimize the amount of hours we need to take: we''re both trying to stock up for our future honeymoon.

Jealous! I get 2 weeks vaca, no PT and accrued sick time. In another 2 years I''ll get 3 weeks plus a bonus week though for working here 5 years! I''m lucky to have started in Jan. If I started in Dec my bonus week would be a bonus day. LOL.

The time is given to you for a reason! You need it, for your health, sanity, etc... That''s what I tell myself anyway!
I use up every single possible day that I am given! They are making lots of money off of me when I am in the office! That is how I see it...
