Only a lucky few of us are still enjoying zits in our mid-20s.
20.gif
Uncool. I did not have zits as a teenager. They started once I started using the pill, and then stopped it.

At least you had some years without! Mine have been around since I was...11 I believe. Awesome. Thanks face. I hate you!
Never would have guessed that. Your skin appears so clear in every picture I've ever seen of you.
Really? Thanks! It's really obvious to me...funny how that happens!

ETA: Thanks B!

I''ve never had such serious skin issues until very recently.

Something is seriously out of whack in my body somewhere.

my skin is in pretty good shape. I''m just noticing faint lines around my eyes when I smile and it''s sort of buggin me out.

Lucky! I'd take faint lines over this crap!

I feel so gross. I want to crawl into bed and never leave.

I hate when you feel so unattractive you dont want to leave the house. Thats how it is right now.

maybe stupid question: have you gone to a dermatologist? Or have you considered seeing a holistic doctor? they might have some treatsments/herbs for your skin(?) my cousin has eczema and he''s an acupuncturist/holistic doctor - herbs have helped him a lot.

I haven''t gone yet. I dont want to go the derm route because I dont want antibiotics/steroids/whatever. They are terrible.

My skin isnt normally so broken out, but the eczema is new, and its getting bad.

I think my terrible eating habits lately and not drinking enough water have caused most of this. Im cutting out the BS food and drinking only water and tea, no soda. I know that will clear up the zits.

The eczema, I''m at a loss. I''ll try what WL suggested, and tanning. If I still can''t get it together I''ll try and find someone who wont just drug me to death.

Elle, look up Andrew Weil and his theories on inflammation and the skin. I know you said you used Origins, but his thoughts on inflammatory response producing foods is really interesting.

Actually, Origins caused the eczema. I switched back to Clinique, but its still there.

I will definitely read up on it though! I am desperate!

Is it lunch time yet? I''m hungry. (not quite here -- only 10:30)

What is everyone having for lunch?

I think I''m skipping lunch. Not feeling super hungry.

Thanks B. I hope it all clears up soon!

I''m feeling super hungry and I want a buffalo chicken wrap but I''m not going to get it. I stopped eating meat for a week and to be honest, I feel a lot better.

Gonna try to do like FI and cut back.

Really? That''s surprising. I know humans are supposed to eat meat so i find it interesting that you feel better!

How do you feel better? More energy?

Back and all caught up...MAN you guys talked a lot about crap while I was gone...SHEESH!!!

Lunch for me was Thai food, and it was YUMMMMM.

And elle, I totally know what you mean by having the PG tests under the sink. I''ve skipped mine a few times on the pill and I FREAK OUT. Totally.

I''m still eating fish but I stopped eating chicken all the time (I love chicken). I just feel ''cleaner'' and less bloated...definitely more energy. Don''t get me wrong I can''t stop eating meat full-time because a.) I like it and b.) I believe it''s healthy to eat it once in awhile (esp in the winter), I just mainly want to stop eating it as often as I do. Maybe only a few times a month.

I had a yummy grilled cheese and a pumpkin spice latte.

Elle, sorry about your skin. I have very sensitive skin and sometimes get eczema on my body in the winter. I started getting a little patch of it on my face a couple of weeks ago and I switched to Aveeno Super Calming facial cleanser and moisturizer and it worked like a charm. Maybe try picking that up!

Mmmmm thai...I have another lean cuisine! Woohoo. Actually it''s a good one - parmesan encrusted fish. Probably mystery fish!

Gotcha.

I shall add it to the list!

I'm wondering if my huge glass of milk last night made the breakout worse. I'm always wondering about dairy and my skin. ...
