What happened to your laptop!? I never even got to play with you!!
39.gif

I can never get out of bed. Supposed to be at work at 8. Got here at 9 yesterday. 8:20 today... guess I''m getting better!
11.gif

Morning VC, HH, Bia!
do you get in trouble when you''re late? I get to work 9:20-9:30 and it''s fine. I have a great boss, thank God. And, she''s hardly every here
9.gif
No I don''t really. If I came past 9, then she''d probably say something. I think 9 bugs her a *little* but it happens so rarely. She doesn''t mind 8:30 at all. I just stay a little later to make it up - no big deal. The other secretaries don''t get here until 9 anyway!

I''m busy today.

Thirsty Thursday!

Squirrly - Thanks for letting me know just HOW old I am! And I have a special little cabin just for you when you come to visit.
Does it have squirrel proof bird feeders?

Me too! I''m so stoked about my photographer! Speaking of weddings I had an epiphany last night. Someone probably already told me this but I could totally use a bridesmaids dress for my wedding dress since I don''t want anything fancy! DUH! I swear I''ve been scouring looking for not so fancy things for weeks and then it dawned on me last night that bridesmaid dresses come in every color!

I thought about doing that, and would have if I didn''t fall in love with the dress I ended up with.

Definitely look into it! Good choice!

YAY!!!

Ugh. I''ve just been having an awful morning. A just told me this morning (stupid me for asking) that he wants to get married *in* a church, *by* a pastor. We''re not currently church-goers. He doesn''t have a church or pastor back in KCMO. Neither of us is baptized into a faith we''re comfortable with (me Catholic, him Baptist). The importance to me of such a thing: negative 5, on a scale from 1-10. I want to get married outside by someone who means something to us (I''d really love his dad or his mom''s dad). AND he can''t articulate a single reason why it''s important to him other than if we weren''t, it would feel "weird". He also informed me that in the past, his family has washed the dishes and cleaned up the venues after his family weddings. When I told him that won''t be necessary, he responded with "but they like to feel needed".

I feel like he wants a pot luck. Barefoot. In someone''s backyard. And I want white tablecloths and centerpieces and...and...and...

I know right? That''s litterally exactly what I''ve been looking for!

VC - Oh honey don''t worry about it yet, he''ll change his tune 89 times before you actually tie the knot. Boys are retarded! You''ll get your way. I will teach you how.

Yikes, VC!

Well, weddings are the big huge mac daddy compromise you have to make before you even GET married.

You guys should make a list of certain things, and you rate the importance ( you get numbers 1-10, and list 10 items) to YOU. If your importance is higher than his on a particular issue, you get to make the decision. That could help! Sometimes if you really don''t care, its better to just let it go.

OMG. I would kill!

BAD E! BAD BAD BAD!

So I''m royally peeved at one of my furbabies at the moment. Binks loves to chew on sticky stuff. Not sure if it''s the taste of the adhesive or the texture, but he''s constantly chewing on packing tape, stickers, labels, etc. Anyway, last night he got a hold of one of those sticky labels that come on jeans. You know, they''re about 4 inches long by 1 inch wide? Anyway, I saw him and as I was walking over to take it away from him he saw me and freaked. Started chewing it up into a ball and HE SWALLOWED TO!!! Seriously, it was like a kid stuffing a cookie in his mouth because he knew he wasn''t supposed to eat it and got caught. He was heaving a little bit after and I thought he was going to toss it back up (he has a quick gag reflex and bad hairballs), but he didn''t. So now I have to monitor him to make sure it passes naturally. There''s nothing (that I know of) that you can give cats to make them throw up. At least with dogs you can give them peroxide.

I''m really concerned that he''ll end up having to have it surgically removed and I don''t have the $1500 for that right now

Haha, elle, my officemate said exactly the same thing.

WL, it''s totally true...3 months ago it was important for him to have the wedding and the reception at the same site so it was easy on the guests! So guess what I''ve been searching for for the past 3 months?!?!? I think that''s the general source of my irritation...

Honey, just explain to him that there are PLENTY of ways for his family to be included that don''t involve sweeping up confetti at the end of the evening. TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It''s going to be fine. If the church thing is important to him, consider giving in. But make sure he compromises on the wedding you desire as well - as in a venue with tables, centerpieces, waiters and not a bbq pit in site!

Elle - the day it happened the laptop still worked, so i was just annoyed that the keys were really sticky. when i came home the next day it was broken, so i was really pissed. walk out of the room not talking pissed. on his end, it was an accident, and he did feel horrible all weekend, including monday. so i am hoping on hope that it is an easy (er, less exspensive) fix.

J felt the same way, for the most part, he knew I felt more strongly so he''d let me choose most stuff. If he felt strongly, we''d compromise.
