OK PNW girls, where all did you dress shop? I''ve got my first dress shopping trip planned for 3/28. I want to spend under 1k (preferably WAY under) and I don''t want to have to beat down any pushy sales ladies. Since I''m considering a few different bridesmaid dresses I''m planning on going to Mom''s, Maid''s & More in Belluve as they have gotten great reviews. I want to go somewhere that has regular wedding dresses too but every place has such terrible reviews I''m afraid I''d end up in jail. I don''t tolerate mistreatment very well. Oh and I''m taking my FMIL so I have to behave.

You MUST come down to Portland to check out Lena Medoyeff''s stuff. Really pretty dresses (they tend towards simple and elegant) and reasonably priced. Plus made here in Portland!

which type of dress?

I wound up getting my dress at davids, but there was a maggie in 2nd place in a store in redmond. I too had the same requirements (money wise). I''ll have to search for the name real quick.

I also really liked Bella Rive (sp?) in bellevue, but it was hard to find a dress under 1k there. I think i found maybe 5?
They probably had the most beautiful dresses though (except for mine

We wound up getting our BM dresses at Moms Maids & more. I loved their selection, but nothing was under 145 for DM dresses. However there were SO many to chose from that would work as wedding dresses too!

Princess Bride in Bothell is where I got my dress. I don''t remember the brands they carry besides Pronovias, but they list them on the site. They also keep 2 racks of sale samples.

Loved MM&M!! They were fabulous.

Demetrios was awful!! We also went there for BM dresses and she just wanted soooooo desperately to sell me something. It was gross.

Wino you might even look at MM&M for a bridal BM dress. They have Jim Hjelms, which were always my fave besides Bari Jay.

n/p wl! I forgot to add there is a discount bridal store in everett - as long as you don''t mind shifting through racks. my BM got her wedding dress there and it was FAB!

Honestly, I was not a fan. I bought my dress at the wedding show, there was some stupid confusion over the free veil I was supposed to get...meh. But my friend who ordered a dress through them has had no problems at all, she loves them!

The reviews are scary, but you have to remember that in customer service, someone who experiences horrible services will tell 10 people about it, and someone who had great service will tell 1. So it''s always skewed.

very true - same thing about Davids Bridal (or any store really).
I happened to have a great experience with it as a bride. HORRIBLE experience as a BM. all within 2 months!
 
WL, be sure to see if there''s a store near you that has Watters and Watters. Their BM dresses are FAB and many of the full length ones would be STUNNING bridal gowns!

VC - Funny thing I was just looking at the Watters BM gowns and yes they are gorg.

Sunny - I''m going to MMM w/ the intention of finding a wedding dress. I''ve seen closer to what I want in a BM dress than an actual wedding dress. I just want something very simple and cheap:) Even if it''s the most expensive BM dress I''m sure I''ll still save a bundle!

My only real reason for wanting to go to a wedding dress store at all is because I know it will tickle my FMIL pink to see me try on dresses. I know it sounds silly but J''s sister is a total douchecanoe so FMIL will never get the opportunity to experience wedding stuff and dress stuff w/ her. Plus the only thing FMIL ever asks me about is if I''ve found a dress and what kind of dress I''ll be wearing etc.

Exactly! And that Spice color is REALLY pretty!

I love that it makes her still look like a little girl, instead of some of these Flower Girl dresses that are strapless and have TRAINS and all this other crap.

I''m not having little ones in the wedding party (A''s cousins have too many kids to even start to pick from...) and I didn''t want any at the wedding in the first place, but they mean so much to A and were so well behaved at Thanksgiving that I can''t say no. But if I *DID* have a flower girl...that would pretty much be the dress I''d pick. It''s just perfect! With little ballet flats (HEAVEN FORBID YOU GIVE THE CHILD HEELS, lest she become a hooker later in life)!

I''m not having a ring bearer. I don''t even know if I''m going to have mini do petals. I might just have her carry a little bouquet. We''re hoping most of our friends leave their kids at home but even if they all bring them there will only be about 5 or 6.
