I hate that word, too, HDG...but I agree, WL. Plan yourself a little pre-wedding weekend with J! One of the weekends Mini is with the DB...I mean...her father...

Not at all! You have your own private room and (most of the time) bathroom and the breakfasts are AMAZING. I went to one that had a 5 course breakfast. I was full all day because it was so good. Which reminds me...I need to pull out some of the recipes I got from her.

Some are! You have to find the NICE ones - must have a private bathroom w/ a jacuzzi tub

. I don''t like B&Bs that are all frilly with lace and no style. The worst are the ones in modern, ugly homes that try to make up for it by putting doilies everywhere.

We stayed in one in NJ and it was gorgeous! Plus it had just snowed so everything was white. We got a cottage apart from the main house and had a fantastic view. Frolicked in the snow like two kids in love...until FI lost the car keys in said snow and we spent 40 minutes tracking our footprints searching in 2 feet of the stuff. I did get to see a naked guy in the window while we were searching though. That was funny.

We''ve only stayed in the one in Williamsburg, but you can use sites like tripadvisor.com for reviews of B&Bs. The B&B websites themselves are really helpful when it comes to choosing your room. Yes, you get to choose your room...it''s not chosen for you. So you can pick amenities you want based on what they offer. Make sure you get one with your own bathroom. You get a key to the house and a key to your room. And the breakfasts we had were AMAZING. All the reviews I''ve read of every B&B have always talked about how wonderful the breakfasts are...regardless of the reviews of the B&B itself. So doooooo iiiiitt. If you want help looking, just let us know!!!
