The Strangers freaked me out. I ususally don't scare easily but that movie had me wetting my pants. I was BEGGING FI to turn it off...and then turn it back on...and turn it off again...back on...you know the drill. I was sooooo scared.

Exactly, because it's something that has actually happened to someone. Elle, SAWs were scary. BUT it's suspense more than horror I think. You want to figure out who the hell is going to get it 1st, 2nd, 3rd...and who makes it out of the contraptions/riddles.

I can't handle the saw ones. way to much freaky contraptions for me. well i think i saw Saw3(with matt gutenberg?) and that one was not so bad. Super suspenseful movies kill me. i get so wound up! I am going to have to rent the strangers and check it out. i heard it was super scary!!

But seriously folks, i get freaked out watching ghost hunters so, yah know. i freak out quickly. i love it

ETA - wait. is the strangers blood and guts?? if so i probably can't handle it. oh well. i guess i'll just get my crochet blanket and watch through that..

LOL, found this above the coffee maker just now....

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA

as a previous office manager, i LOVE it.

That is just too funny. it should belong on that passive aggressive notes website.

Ha! I like it
36.gif

You'd be surprised how many people don't know how to make coffee. And people who make good coffee are even fewer and far between.

But I bet most people just hope that no one sees them taking the last cup.
9.gif

eta: BTW, was that you Elle...taking the last cup???
27.gif
I can totally see it.

I make the coffee every morning just to be nice, and I don''t even drink coffee.

It''s annoying that no one can make another pot. And it happens in EVERY office. Annoying.

jcarlylew, I LOVE Ghost Hunters! I would totally be one if I could! I would love to have my own experience... but still waiting for that. THAT would probably scare me but still, I welcome the experience! hehe.

Am I weird? lol

And no, B! I did NOT take the last cup! I don''t even drink coffee!

Inhisarms - gosh. i love that show. i love to make E watch it too, becuase they actually try to debunk stuff first, so its not like i am watching a lame ass "oh, there was a noise, it was a ghost!" show.

We skipped 3-4 pages just today I think. At this rate, it will be the most chatty small talk thread we''ve had.

Now if only we could get them to STICKY THIS THREAD!!! (MODS, ''them'' would be you)

Yeah, I hate that it''s still not stickied.

yeah, exactly! i always try to defend Ghost Hunters when people say those kinds of shows are so fake. I get annoyed... I''m always like "no, they try to debunk everything, they don''t just say oh, i heard a noise, it must be a ghost!" I get really defensive about it. haha.

ever watch the haunted... or something like that... with that lady with the accent (I think she''s from London?)... that one I just laugh at b/c her reactions are SO FUNNY!

That''s a big one. How''s he taking it?

FI was cool turning 30, but only because people think he''s younger than me
11.gif
Sometimes to psych him out, I pull the skin around his temples to make it more taut around his eyes. Then I say, "Babe, have you been moisturizing?"
27.gif
hehehe...he get''s so annoyed when he thinks I''m pointing out crows feet that he doesn''t even have yet.

I have a life goal of actually seeing a house. FF and I like to tour haunted B&Bs. Haven't seen one yet...

Men are in their prime in their 30''s and 40''s. It''s us women that get seen as old.

30 is around the corner, and I''d be lying if I said I didn''t care.

You''re 27, right?

Does 30 really bother you? I thought it might, but I look around at all the 30 year olds I know, and they''re still young, hot, and have fun. I think 30 is the new 20, and I''m going to embrace it.

Although... that is the age I plan to start reproducing. So... that''s kinda freaky.

FF took this pic of my cat the other day... thought it was cute!

Isn''t The Strangers loosely based on what the Manson Family used to do? Their "creepy crawls" and the Sharon Tate murders? If so...even though it''d creep me out, I''d totally watch it. I have a really sick fascination with them...

princess - ugh. PUKE. oh well. i''ll probably pee my pants watching it. E will have a good time.

Elle- what, you havent see a house?

Calling FREKE!

I''m sure you''re probably still sleeping, but inquiring minds want to know: How was the NINJA concert last night?!! Specifically Jane''s Addiction?
Lets put it this way...This is what my FB status changed to last night:
Freke has learned several interesting things tonight: Perry Farrell is a drugged up wanna-be 70s ****/rock star who borrows his performance wardrobe from Austin Powers and MC Hammer. Dave Navarro is HAWT. Trent Reznor is disproportionately bulky for his height. Tom Morello is a B.A.D.A.S.S. And I can''t stand the smell of pot.

Seriously, I was a bigger fan of JA before I saw them in concert. IMHO they SUCKED. Perry was cracked out/wasted/on SOMETHING and he kept talking about our ancestors/antiquity and *ahem* how the United States is more united than EVER now. Um. He didn''t know where he was, said something about Santa Fe, and then someone corrected him when he took a mini break and he came out and started talking to us as "New Mexico" and asked if we were feeling new...

And between the MC Hammer style high-waisted pants with the 70s teal pattern on them, and the blue shirt that was open to his navel that had peacock feathers attached to the sleeves and the THING wrapped around his neck...

Not to mention: A. he lost his rhythm with his youth B. he slurred most of the words C. the sound sucked and his vocals needed more volume than the instruments D. his dancing was reminiscent of a bad stripper dance E. he air humped Dave Navarro, etc etc etc.

Oh, and he said something about how all of the beautiful women in NM must be an effect of the sperm.

It was BIZARRE.

Having said that, Trent did awesome, although he looked particularly tiny because of the muscles he''s put on. FI didn''t like the playlist because he didn''t do Hurt or Closer, but whatever. He sounded great with the vocals and I was super impressed at how healthy he looks.

And Street Sweeper Social Club rocked the house. FI is a big fan of Rage Against the Machine, and I''m a big fan of ANYONE who can play their guitar with their teeth. Tom Morello is on my radar. I would say that they put on a MUCH better show than JA, which is kind of sad since JA was a co-headliner, and SSSC was the opening band. They are brand spanking new and their first album comes on in June or July I believe. Un/fortunately they do sound A LOT like Rage, so we''ll see what kind of response they get. Their lead singer needs to make a workout video. He danced his booty off the entire time he was singing.

So, Elle, I would go, because Trent said something about going on an extended touring "break" after this one, and there are rumors swirling around that this is his last tour, although he''ll keep recording.

And Dave Navarro is HAWT. I never understood his appeal until last night. He''s like...the epitome of the sexy bad boy rock star and just oozes...sex appeal. Totally worth sitting through Perry''s awful singing to watch him playing his guitar half nakey.

It''s based on a fabricated story of a couple who spend the night at the family vacation home. It isn''t real (they used a real-life angle to promote the movie I''m sure, kind of like Blair Witch) but it is still scary because it could happen, if you are unlucky enough to run into maniacs of that sort. See it princesss, if you''re in the mood for a scare. Plus it''s with Liv Tyler, and I really like her.

Ha! I almost copy/pasted your FB status here earlier Freke since you weren't on PS yet, but I figured it'd be better if you told the story.

I can't believe JA was that bad/messed up. That's... so disappointing when they're clearly messed up on something wasting your money for no good reason. I'd be TO'ed. At least NIN was good! That's what really matters.

BTW, I had to go back like 3 pages through babble about Alex Mack and Are You Afraid of the Dark to wade through and find my original post.

I love those shows. I would still watch them.

Also, I''ll watch any horror. What freaks me the F out are Zombie movies. Night of the Living Dead--the original? TOTALLY freaked me out, I couldn''t sleep for weeks after watching it. It was so "bad 60s movie" too--but something about the acting and black and white really got to me. Saw? Doesn''t bother me. Scream? Love it. Bad 80s horror?! LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

Gotta see Taken. I think it''s on our Netflix list.

And I am completely terrified of 30. I think it''s because in my head I''m still about 15...

Perry Farrell is mad old dude. However, I did like his style when I look at video of him in the early 90''s. I''m into that schizo type LOL BUT once they are past their prime and have that crackhead look, it''s over. ''Jane says'' is still one of my all time favorite songs though.

Dave Navarro is hot, I must admit. Totally up my alley
31.gif
but...he''s starting to look his age a bit too.

Elle, I am afraid of 30. I like being a 20-something (yes I''m 27).

30 is 30...30! I feel like a kid still! Thinking back to the 80''s I was so young, and it wasn''t that long ago. Now I see all these young teens and I''m like, "S***! They probably think I''m old, just like I used to think 25 was old!"
