Hey Mara -- sorry if you''ve already answered this, but WHERE are you finding all of these gorgeous flowers? Are you taking your ring and camera to a local botanical garden? Are these from your own backyard? I''m curious!

hehehe jelly i think that vendors should incorporate flower shots into their whole 'here's your finished ring product' before shipping. how funny (and difficult) would that be?

kristy...these are flowers from my own patio garden. here is a shot of just one corner of the patio...i have 4 other 'areas' like this...our patio is about 12x30 feet so it's pretty large. i also have some orchids in the house that i use for some of the shots too..hehee. i have about 12 roses now including miniatures (that sometimes get really big like that apricot one off to the left of the picture!)...and a bunch of perennial pots and some lilies as well.

Dem....Send me a ticket and I''ll come grace your guest room for a few weeks...taking pictures of your bauble daily sounds fab.

Kim...the orange and blue flowers in the last batches were violas...the original blues a few pages back was a bunch of lobelia. The white flowers are from bushes outside our patio...but I don''t know what they are called. They just have these huge white boughs of flowers on them all summer and spring. Flower shots are so fun...I love all the colors in nature, they bring out the best in the diamond.

i know i have said it before but the arrows in this stone just BEG to be photographed and are so easily captured, it''s really fun. the camera is no slouch either.

I was looking thru these beautiful shots again, and was admiring how awesome the arrows look, and then I noticed this post. Yesterday I was in a jewelry store, and we were looking thru a loupe and I said something about trying to see the arrows. And the salesman said, "You can''t see arrows without some special viewer." I thought, but didn''t have the nerve to say, "Nah-ah, I can always see Mara''s arrows just in photographs!!!

I wish my hand was as little as it looks in the pictures, hehee. I think the big rock helps make it look smaller, or that is what Greg says anyway. Since I''ve always been a tall, sturdy girl...I love when he says stuff like that. I have always wanted to be all dainty and small!!

OFG...you tell ''em!!! The arrows ARE visible in daily wear quite well, I think the larger the stone the easier to view them actually since in this stone it''s much easier to see them consistently than in my 1.6. I love the arrows so of course that just thrills me to no end!!

I totally agree... the arrows in this size stone are very often quite visible, and I, too, NEVER get tired of looking at them! *swoon*!
