Cello-congrats!! THat''s a great story!

Feb-I''ve actually tried a lot of ovulator predictor kits. The clearblue easy I think were the easiest to interpret. I also tried the clearblue digital which are more expensive but it totally does away with the guessing work (and the smiley face is exciting to see!) The first response for some reason are the most difficult to tell for me.
Last month I did a little experiment because I had a few different kinds (can you tell I''m bored much?) Anyway, I had an internet cheapie, clearblue digital, and first response. The internet cheapie and clearblue digital both gave me a positive on day 14, but the first response didn''t get positive until day 15. I ovulated on day 14. I really do sound crazy.

Hey, guys! This is my first post in this thread.

I''ve been off the Pill and offhandedly TTC since roughly December: I say "roughly" because I haven''t been charting or anything as my husband travels a lot for work, and I have difficulty picturing anything more frustrating than *knowing* it''s the perfect time ... and knowing that my husband''s off in, like, Kalamazoo that week.

Well, wait, actually, I can think of something more frustrating ... at this point, my period is officially late (and I''ve never been late since I started menstruating: my period went through a weird "adjustment" when I went off the Pill, from 28 days to 29, but that''s *it*), but I don''t want to test until he''s here to see the results if they''re positive. So I''m just twiddling my thumbs till Friday, constantly going back and forth between "It''s probably just stress. Most people have irregular periods when they''re stressed" and "What if I''m PREGNANT?"

I''m trying not to get my hopes up too high in case it''s just the former, but .... eeeeeeeeee! Cross your fingers for me?

Anyhoodle, so you think you could, maybe possibly be KTFU, eh? That''s pretty exciting! I assume you and DH DTD roughly two weeks ago? (An approximation, based on your statement that your cycles are 28-29 days). I won''t encourage you to test since I''m hearing you don''t want to. But just so we can get excited with you, how late are you exactly?

Thanks for the welcome and the compliment, Festy! I''ve been lurking quietly for a couple of months now - it''s nice to participate instead.

I''m 4 days late, which I know isn''t that much ... but I''m usually like clockwork. And we did indeed DTD (the acronyms around here crack me up!) right around when I was supposed to ovulate, so ... maybe? I''m hoping so. A couple of months ago, I got all excited over being ONE day late when my cycle was shifting, so I''m trying not to repeat that nasty pattern of psyching myself up just to be disappointed.

Totally understand wanting to wait for your hubby to come home to test. 5 days late is wonderful, though. At any rate, if you are pregnant and test when it''s what, 7 days past being late, you''ll have no question at all when that flaming pink line shows up!!

I hope I''m not coming down with something. I''ve been exhausted ever since about 3pm today. I seriously never get sleepy at work, and I totally could have curled up under the desk and snoozed. My eyes feel all droopy and my shoulders feel really heavy. That''s sometimes an indication of the flu coming on, at least I think it is. I think I''ll go to bed early tonight.

Did you girls hear the story about the 21 year old man throwing a 20 month old baby out of his moving car???? Someone''s flaming mad, and it''s me!!

The man apparently was a wanted fugitive and had something like 17 charges on him in the course of his little short life so far. So frustrating to think that he could have been behind bars instead of free and with access to children to chuck out of windows. I''m going to go watch more of it on CNN and get ready for bed (haha... at 7pm. How lame.)

I slept over 12 hours last night. It was insane. Woke up this morning feeling fine, took a shower. Now I feel incredibly hot; we don''t have the A/C running yet, so maybe it was just really hot last night. I don''t feel sick, so that''s a good thing.

Hope everyone has a last day before Friday.

If weather permits, Paul and I are camping tomorrow night (it''s been raining something like 5 days though... but today''s clear so far!) and going on a river boat cruise in Chatanooga, TN on Saturday (again, if weather''s good). Thing is, we have to make reservations for that by today, and bad weather doesn''t stop them from running the tour, but I don''t think I want to be on a boat and all wet, you know? So, I''m not sure what we''ll do. It''s fun to finally have fun plans for a weekend again, though. The stupid border in the guest bedroom has been kicking my butt every weekend for a while now!

What are your weekend plans? Anyone TESTING??? (Besides Miss Circe, who will on FRIDAY... right? That''s TOMORROW!! What time zone are you in, so we''ll all know what time to tune in?

I haven't been here in quite a few months. I checked in around Sept, when I started charting, but DH and I decided to wait longer before trying. We decided we were ready to try last month. I have not really been temping or charting. I relied on my old charts and CF to approximate OV date. According to FF, my longest recorded cycle is 30 days and my shortest is 26. Today is cycle day 31, and no sign of AF.

I did test on Sunday, which would have been cycle day 27, because the test (ept) indicates detection up to 3 (or is it 4) days prior to expected AF date. Test was negative.

Could it have been too early to test? I took it in the evening, so it wasn't first of day testing, although they say it doesn't matter, right?

I will test again when I get home, but that won't be for another 8 hours or so!!!! So, I came here.

Could I be? Could it have been too early to test?

For those of you left scratching your heads about this alter ego thing, I''ll explain. When I first hopped on board the TTC thread, I created a new profile just in case anyone might recognize me under my first PS name. (I joined a while back but don''t post often under my first screen name). This has probably been more trouble than it''s worth because a) I''m not sure I know anyone IRL who checks this website often, and b) someone who knows me well could probably figure me out under my new name anyway! I am slightly paranoid about privacy stuff in general, who knows why.

So ANYWAY, DD, you totally busted me! I can''t believe you figured it out. I think I know how you did it, but I still can''t believe that you did. If it''s the thread I think it is that made you figure it out, I remember thinking at the time, "jeez, if someone''s paying close enough attention my cover will be blown. But who has that much time on their hands??" Ha ha! A very smart, edumacated woman who''s home with a newborn, that''s who!

I''m jealous because I really want to know who Sweet Pea is (congrats, btw, Sweet Pea!) but my quick scan of this thread in the early days has me coming up empty.

But I''m stickin to my original plan - I''ll save the big, anti-climactic unveiling for the day when I get my BFP. Or when I past the 12 week mark, maybe. If THAT ever happens!
