Bliss,

You know, the only time I remember someone making a *prediction* of three positives, there ended up being 4.
9.gif
Here''s hoping we have lots of positives around here, just like you''re thinking!

****
I''m feeling a little better today, still have a raging temp, but it''s no longer in the "fever" category, so I''m thankful. My voice is all but gone but I can sit up now without getting dizzy, so yay! Still have that dang metallic taste, and this morning my toothpaste was SO disgusting. Weird. All I had yesterday was apple juice mixed with water (I can stand strong juices, isn''t that odd?), two popcisles my Paul went to the store to get for me, and a little bit of chicken noodle soup I''d made over the weekend. I had some more for breakfast and I''m feeling stronger. I weighed out of curiosity this morning, and not eating much of anything has made me lose 7 pounds. That doesn''t sound right!

Thanks for telling me that it''s low-grade to have a fever from 100-101; I had no idea. I see three digits and I freak out. Especially when I think I''m over-cooking a child!

Lanie, yep, I''ve decided to stop searching for symptoms, but since I''d already heard about the metallic taste thing, it did come to mind. However, it''s a sign of many things, and coupled with what I believe is a brief flu, I consider it as simply a symptom of sickness.

Fisher, Hope you are feeling better!

I''m on CD 17 of what is pretty much always a 28 day cycle and I still haven''t seen EWCF...I don''t notice it every cycle. I am 99% sure I ovulate every time b/c I have a real period each month...I think I just have watery CF on the months when there''s no EWCF, does anyone else have that?

Wonderful wonderful. So thrilled for your news.

Bella- We''re thinking about a brief stint in Boston too if I end up doing a fellowship. Hub''s best friend is there. It''s a great city, but soooo expensive. We both grew up in upstate NY so it can be difficult to stomach the big city prices.

Fishie- This will really blow your mind
2.gif
but we don''t even really consider it a fever until you hit at least 100.4. Hope you continue to be on the mend.

My (*)(*)s are still sore, in case anyone was wondering

YAY FOR BOSTON!!!!!

Bella,

I have had cycles with no noticeable EW, so I don't think it should be a concern (I think I read on FF back in the day that both Clear/Watery are Eggwhite and considered equally fertile. In fact, most of my charts show watery with only a day, if that, with eggwhite).

You can have patches of eggwhite and watery CM and still not be ovulating, though. It wasn't uncommon for me to have patches around days 16-20, then not ovulate until I got another patch, around days 35-40. Weird, but CM only means the body's gearing up for it, not that it absolutely has happened.

I also think that regardless of if you're ovulating, you'll have a period at the end of each cycle. Not sure what triggers the end of a cycle if not for ovulation and the ensuing luteal phase, but eventually, each cycle will end with a period because it's the only way to start a new cycle.

But yes, you can totally treat watery CM as fertile CM.

Yep, I''ve read the same thing about Watery vs. EWCM. I believe both are considered fertile.

I thought I also read that the only way to be sure you''ve ovulated (outside of a test kit) is to look for the temperature spike. Am I remembering wrong?

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just *knew* you were pregnant when I read your symptoms: not being able to sleep, sore boobies and etc. I just KNEW it! Heehee. This is just AMAZING, WONDERFUL and SO MAGNIFICENT!

Wonderful wonderful...

YAY, mama! Congrats! I think you're going to kick off some more BFPs!

Fisher, I think you're right... I now predict FOUR BFPs in January! Ha! Maybe that'll increase the number to 5? Hope you feel better soon! You're right about the "wet" sensation qualifying as fertile CM. In the book TCOYF, it says that the sensation of wetness is just as important as the quality of CM. I'd say it's fertile! Swimmable? LOL... I'm making words up now.

Congrats, Kit! This is SO special and I am sending you tons and tons of dust!!!!!

Celebrate!!!!! So happy for you. I know I'm gushing, but after all that we have been through - this is SUCH a beautiful incredible thing.

BABY DUST!!!!! Sticky bean!!!

Sleeplessness is a symptom? I''ve been bone tired at the end of each day but then falling asleep has been a problem.

Hudson... I'd bet money that you were pregnant. I remember terrible insomnia, indigestion (some women report diarrhea) and a host of other symptoms... everyone's different, but some are telling if they come out of nowhere! I don't want to get your hopes up, but all of your symptoms read to me like an early pregnancy.

So exciting! I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you!

January 2010 is the month for BFPs, methinks!

LOL thanks. That''d be nice, but like I said, I don''t want to get my hopes up. I feel like at this point everything could be a sign. I had a friend tell me that congestion was a symptom.

Hudson,

I hear you. I have a dear friend at work who thinks *everything* is a sign of pregnancy. She texted me twice yesterday, because I was signed out sick from work, asking if I was okay, what was I feeling, etc. And yes, in her eyes, all of it is a sign of a pregnancy. I love the optimism, but sometimes a girl just gets sick.

I also can''t post on FB when I''m sick anymore, because everyone thinks it''s due to pregnancy.

Fisher, that''s kind of funny, but I''m sure also a little stressful, taht everyone attributes every sign to pregnancy for you right now...

You know, I had never heard of congestion as a preggo symptom before and looked it up just now.

It is! In some women, the surge in hormones can cause the mucous glands to swell and produce more mucous! There is even a name for it: Pregnancy Rhinitis!

Kit - that is wonderful news!! Lots of sticky dust to you.

Bella,

It''s really my fault because I''m so verbal about how much we''re looking forward to coceiving and growing our baby. Our friends must want it for us, too.
9.gif

Wow, Bliss, much more than 5 positives this month and we''ll just about have a ghost town! I''ve been hoping for that, besides so many are coming aboard in March.

My sis-in-law called last night; she had a dream that I was preggo with a baby girl. I dreamed that I gave birth to a little girl about a week ago and a good friend of mine had a dream that I showed up at her door all hyper telling her I was pregnant recently, too. I hope all these subconscious thoughts are right...

Greeeat....my allergies are bad enough already!

Part of my frustration is that so many of the legitimate symptoms mimic PMS. Since AF will be coming early next week if I''m not PG, it''s totally logical for me to be craving salt, have bad headaches, light cramping, be tired and have insomnia, etc. BUT I usually have the worst bobby soreness with PMS and I''ve got nothin, so who knows...do not obsess, do not obsess, do not obsess...

You know, Fisher...that is really a good sign! I was reading a book called Conquering Infertility last night - I can't help it...I'm a voracious reader & I blame DH because he bought me a Kindle and it's soooo easy to download books! You just press a button and poof! You have a new book! Amazon suggested it to me because I've been reading books on miscarriages. Yes, I am a sucker. *grin* Anyway, it was from a Harvard professor talking about how out of the infertility patients she's seen, the ones who were most positive and learned relaxation techniques overwhelmingly got pregnant out of their control groups in various studies. So I think you're on to something with the optimism. Let's hope for a JerkTown! You can be the mayor! I feel like this is the year for you. I hope you don't mind, but you have been so supportive in so many ways I sometimes find myself praying for you and your DH. Hope that's OK.

Hudson... I know the wait is torture and you don't want to get your hopes up. It's true, the symptoms do mimic PMS. Are there any symptoms that are very different from PMS that you are noting? For me, it was burning up at night (I am always cold), random indigestion out of nowhere and vein-y/mondo boobies! Nausea was also a telltale sign. I know it doesn't help very much because it's hard to say and you don't want to get too excited so soon... but we're all hoping and praying for u!

Fishie- You know, my oldest BFF had a dream I was preggo before I knew. In fact, she tends to be very intuitive, so it''s actually the only reason I took a pregnancy test. AND my SIL had a dream I was pregnant and having a boy. Both were true, so you never know!
11.gif
I think 2010 is your year. You are going to have the most loved little girl. Yep, I said girl.
3.gif

Bliss, we totally appreciate prayers! Thank you so much. While to some it seems like a small thing, I believe in the power of prayer and I thank you very much for praying for us. Optimism is hard to keep at times, but it's much easier to hold onto when we keep things in perspective. Life's good and whenever the baby comes will be the *best* time, ever!

I pray for the girls here often... I know the heartache of waiting, building hope, and then being let down. I pray that the pain of the wait is completely forgotten wth the birth of babies!!

Baby gender; I won't lie. I used to want a little girl so badly that I truly think I would have been one of those women who was broken over having a baby of the opposite gender as the one I'd prefer (I hate even typing that about myself), but--and here's one of the good things about a lengthened wait during TTC--I'm now very excited to be the mommy to a little boy or a little girl. Boys love their mom something fierce and Paul really prefers a little boy (although I have no doubt a little girl would be absolutely wrapped around his heart at first sight) because it's all he knows. He has a brother, no close females while he was growing up, he doesn't "get" a lot of my emotions and is worried that he won't "connect" to a girl like he would a boy. But I know different. If we have a litlte girl, who wants to bet that her name will be Callie Jayne? Paul says he's not a fan, but that's because he doesn't like California very much (feels the state is too liberal, although where my parents live it is not, and that's where I grew up), and Jayne is after his mother's middle name (Jane). I think that will be something I win on. I'm sure hopin!

I really felt like 2009 was our year and now I really feel like 2010 is our year.
9.gif
The good news is we have about 10-12 shots at it, if this timely ovulation keeps up!

***
Hudson,

Wouldn't it be great if there were preggo signs that were ONLY signs of being pregnant? That would be fabulous!

***
China!!

How have you been? Do you post in the mommy thread? I need to go read up on the mommies there. I stopped a while back when I was getting bogged down with the TTC thing. I hope you and your baby are great!! Happy new year to you, lady! And thanks for the positive thoughts!!

Bliss, is Conquering a good read? What have you learned?

I''ve definitely noticed the covers being off me when I wake up in the morning and I just got some weird boob pain that, if it continues, could be promising

Oooh, Hudson''s gonna be Bliss'' number 2 on her predictions!!

[Gah! PS just ate my post.]

Thank you everyone so much for the kind words and wishes!
9.gif
I am so excited and happy I honestly can''t believe it. I woke up this morning after a good night''s sleep and promptly took my temp. It was over 98 degrees and was higher than yesterday, and I thought there is no way I am getting AF today with temps rising....so I POAS and a very faint but detectable positive line appeared!!! I took two tests just to be sure, then woke DH from his deep slumber. I told him, I just took a test, and immediatley his face became alert to what I was saying. I then told him it was postive, and a big grin broke out on his face. Aw! We kissed and hugged and then he rolled over and went back to sleep. Men!
20.gif
So cute. Anyhow, he called me this afternoon to tell me how excited he is and we are going to be a team working together on this pregnancy. Love him. He is going to be very low key about this, I am sure, because he''s so protective and doesn''t want me to get hurt again if we have another m/c. But right now I am just enjoying this feeling.

I will note that this cycle, I took a B vitamin complex beacuse I read that B6 and B12 are involved with hormone reguation, and figured it couldn''t hurt. Maybe some of the MD''s with us here can verify/refute this information. Also, I wanted to add that after my m/c my EWCM pretty much never came back so I started to focus on getting wet CM and obviously that worked. I also used pre-seed and instead cups 2 times we BD''ed. What else...who knows?? There is no rhyme or reason.

Let''s keep those BFP''s coming ladies!!

Kit--
Congrats....first BFP of the year.
Lots of sticky dust to you.

HH--
Fingers crossed for your BFP soon.
You''ve got some promising symptoms.

Bella--
Fingers crossed for you too.

Fisher--
Oo...those are all good signs.
My sister dreamt that I was preggo and having a girl weeks before I had my BFP.
I feel like 2010 will be the year for most of us.
It''s already off to a good start.
