The Official TTC Thread!

HH-yep, that''s the price you pay for getting knocked-up--hot sweaty and enormous in August
3.gif

I would love to be hot and sweaty in August. At least we might be hot and semi sweaty. I do tend to sweat a lot even if I am not preggo.

yep, one of my brothers and my DH were born in Oct
3.gif
Plus then you''re not super hugely pregnant in the hot hot dog days of summer:-) AF neds to get her butt up here so I can start my next cycle
2.gif

Thanks for reminding me of where I''ll be in August...hot, sweaty, swollen, and ENORMOUS!
Ooh, HH, blech...thank god for central A/C! Generally when August rolls around here in the DC area I am soooo over the hot weather and ready for a crisp, cool fall. This summer is going to be the pits in that sense!

me too Allie-I have hyperhydrosis so I sweat a lot all the time, who knows how that will mutate when I get knocked up
20.gif

I sweat in the wintertime when the rest of my body is cold! :) I am sure I won''t be able to make it two steps without breaking a sweat when I am preggers !

me too!!! and it can make things awkward when I have to shake hands at work
2.gif

AF needs to get her butt up here, I am a hormonal mess today--crying at commercials, getting mad...I keep having cramps but no AF and no bebe. WTF?!?!?!

I was reading on baby center that some girls can have a late AF (like 8 days) all BFN an then AF comes. I will be so annoyed if I sit around waiting for her and she takes her sweet as* time getting here. My BFF told me her AF is extra long this month. I joked that maybe my AF confused houses and visited her instead. GRRRRR!

yeah, I think AF is having way to much fun this month. She needs to show up so I can started on making an October baby KWIM
9.gif

At this point I''m just going to wear a pantyliner 24-7, try not to eat too much chocolate, and attempt to keep these emotions in check b/c I am a mess.

Are you temping? Are your temps still up...the thing is mine are. I know I am not preggo. But it''s like how long will I be waiting? Are you going to temp again tomorrow if she doesn''t show?

I don''t have the patience to temp. I might use OPKs this month if AF ever shows up so I can start a new cycle already
14.gif
I am going to see what happens for a few days and if AF isn''t here by Saturday I''ll test again (and call my Dr...)

GOING FOR GOLD 10/10!!!!!!! LOVE IT!

I am also a bit of a sweater, have to do the old subtle wipe on pants before handshakes sometimes!

Sorry about BFNs ladies but it''s not over until you see red!

Unfortunately it is possible that you ovulated later or miscalculated O date. Allie temps staying up is a really good sign. I remember your chart had really high temps.

As for me no O yet! My temp actually dropped really low today which bummed me out a little but maybe it''s because I was in Tahoe and it was cold. I do have one sore (*) which for me is a sure sign that I have ovulated so maybe I did today! I just want to be in the luteal phase already!

Yay, MIA--hope that you ovulated and the one sore (*) is a good sign. Go luteal phase!!!

My cycle is always 27-28 days no exceptions, so the fact that tomorrow is day 30 is kind of freaking me out...

HI Kit,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am so happy to hear you are pregnant!!!!! I read in one of your posts that you are not telling anyone unit 14 weeks....I totally understand where you are coming from. We had our m/c at 12 weeks and had just told our parents. I felt awful seeing the sadness on their faces. With that being said, as much as I want our family to share in our happiness, I am waiting a while before I divulge any happy news this time around.

I have a feeling you ladies willl be the first to know after DH, of course.

Nonetheless, best of the luck during your pregnancy.

:)

Going for the Gold in February;-)

Love love love this

Hooray for all of the Feb babies that we''re going to make.

luvinlife- welcome to TTC! So sorry to hear about the loss of your precious little ones.

allie & Bella- hope your BPF comes or AF shows her annoying face already (mostly the BFP though
2.gif
)

mia- How hilarious that we are trying at the same time after all! We did get home to Buff for the holidays and I SO hear you on the food. Going home without pizza and chicken wings is sacrilege. And then there were the cookies...
20.gif
Wegmans soooooo makes me want to move home. They have a few in Maryland, but none very close to where I live. We''re going to take a field trip to one soon, though.

ugh.. SAD! I had to go see this poor NICU baby this morning to consent for a surgery. She was having lots of seizures, brain abnormalities, and has multiple holes in her heart. Poor little thing! It just got me to thinking how it must feel as the parents to go through the whole pregnancy with such hopes for your little one and then know that they will not be realized. Sad! She was so tiny and sweet though.

still here...still no AF but I didn''t test this morning. Don''t want to see another BFN. Just waiting it out!

Sorry I am late to the party, but I was out of town the last few days...CONGRATS Cara
36.gif
. I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Kit - You are in DC too, yeah for DC TTC friends! I am actually in NoVA, how bout you?

Bella and Allie - No AF yet = there is still a chance. If your AF is going to come, I hope she gets her butt over to you both, but if she doesn''t feel like showing up, then the least she do is send a BFP!
3.gif

Luvinlife and Mia - Welcome back to the TTC thread. May your stays be short and sweet

HH - How you holding up? Any major MS or just little waves?

Baltimore, so not too far from you ladies! (Can''t wait to move

I think you ladies are PREGGO. I just do.

I remember the day before I got my BFP, I was on here bemoaning my BFN. You just neeeeveeer know! I remember Pandora told me that it ain''t over until it''s over. And she was right! Where is Pandora? She has a crazy intuition we could maybe tap into this week!

I''m holding to my 4* this month!!!!!

I forgot to mention that I did have a temp drop this morning. So I am pretty sure it''s just a matter of time. I will wait till tomorrow. If still no AF then I might test!

Still holding out hope. Sorry about the temp drop, Allie! (HUGS)

It didn''t drop below the cover line but definitely a drop! It''s ok. I was really excited thinking that we caught that egg but definitely will try again next month!

Allie-Sorry you had a drop this morning! Hope that you get something definite one way or another.

Ice and Mia-oh yea, team gold right here
11.gif

Stil no AF and I am ridiculously emotional, so testing again is not happening. I think I might burst into tears if I see a BFN and no AF, I don''t know what''s wrong with me (emotionally or physically). So, I''m slightly amending my earlier post. If AF isn''t here by Fri morning I am testing again (that way I can call my Dr and be like WTF on Friday afternoon
11.gif
)

Bliss-How are you doing? Is AF still hiding in Hawaii for you too? if so, I think her boytoy there is too alluring, she doesn''t want to come back
38.gif
You, me, Allie, he''s totally slacking on her duties!!!

Bella!

I'm rooting for all you ladies!

On my end, no AF yet! Maybe she ran off and got married? If I see her, I will keep her distracted with cookies so that she doesn't get to any of you!
31.gif
I've been waiting for AF foreeeeeveeeer! LOL. Last night DH and I agreed that we need a break from the m/c rollercoaster, so we're going to wait a few months before trying again. Either way, when AF arrives, I'm going to throw a Scranton party! Like The Office! LOL I have an appointment with a new OB who I got great recs on, so we'll see what he says about my HCG taking so long to come down!

My last OB was great, but I need more hand holding and detailed information. After the m/c, I decided that I need a different style of doctor. She was awesome when I was pregnant but not so great during the m/c. I felt like I had to do tons of research to fill in the gaps! She was so in demand that she had way too many patients than she had time to manage and I felt like I had to stalk her to get simple lab results. Whew! Glad that chapter of my life is over!

DUST DUST DUST to you all!

I am seriously hoping for AF in the next few days. I am so over this hiatus that she is on. I am just feeling sickly all over the respiratory infection finally got to me I think. I have been coughing like crazy. I have a doctors appointment today I will see what he says.

Awww, Allie... I''m sorry and I totally understand wanting the rollercoaster ride to be over. It''s the hardest thing to wait, isn''t it? We''re here for you... cheering you on and if need be, to share our greatest highs and lows. I remember wanting AF to put me out of my misery when I was waiting and feeling so awful from the hormones! If you see AF, would you please remind her that I''ve been waiting for her! LOL. I have a feeling she won''t come see me for weeks and weeks. My body seems to hold on to things for an inordinate amount of time.
32.gif

Bliss-I''m sorry that AF is still taking forever! If you like the new OB would you mind posting her name? My current one has been fine for gyn but she''s awfully brusque and I do not like the other Drs in the practice at all, so I am thinking about switching...It sounds like a few months off might be a great thing for you and your DH to jsut enjoy eachother and continue to work through all the emotions that come the m/c.

Allie-Hope you feel better. I know this is totally crazy waiting for overdue AF.

Right now, I just keep telling myself HH was like 12 days late last month with AF (all BFN during that time) and got knocked up this month so who knows what goes on with our crazy bodies
20.gif

Bella, absolutely! It is a male OB, which would be a first for me. But he came so highly recommended, I thought I would meet him to be sure. I wish we had a PM function on PS for privacy reasons between PS pals. I would love to go share info with you! I am just overly cautious about sharing personal identifying details on a public forum -- but I don't mind doing so with certain PSers! Am I paranoid?
34.gif
Probably! Being a New Yorker does that to people, I think!

ETA: It's so hard to predict, I agree! It's not over until AF shows up!!!
35.gif

Me too. I have posted more info on PS then any other online forum (actually, there''s only one other forum I use, and I''m not on facebook), but I am still pretty cautious and try to avoid anything that will be identifying which is unfortunate, b/c there are several NYC PSers I''d love to meet in person (including you:-), but I am a little scared of even a GTG--you never know who might show up:-) Maybe we''ll just run into each other on the street sometime and recognize each other by our rings:-) Your gorgeous halo is hard to miss
2.gif

Anyway, internet security rant over
2.gif
A male ob would be a first for me too. If it''s a hand holding male OB who you like, I''d give him a try, so let me know what you think.

Believe me, I will keep you all posted re AF and if she ever shows her shrewish self over here! What ever the cause, these hormones need to go the way of the dinosaur.
20.gif

Hey everyone!!!
35.gif
It''s been awhile...so much to catch up on.

Fingers crossed for those waiting for BFP or AF, and anyone else in the dreaded but exciting 2ww!

Luvinlife -- welcome and so sorry to hear about the loss of your little ones. That is something I wouldn''t wish on my worst enemy. Sounds like you are doing okay!

mia -- Good to see you! I remember somehow that you had wacky cycles like me! So excited you are here and about to TTC!
Are you using OPK''s?

Update on me -- I went to see an RE last Thursday. I am not over 35 and haven''t been trying for over 6 months/one year, but I called them up, told them that I''m not ovulating, and they scheduled an appointment. So for those on the fence about seeing one because of those reasons, just try it out and they might still see you for an appointment. I''m SO SO SO SO SO glad I did. Never knowing if I was ovulating or when I was going to get my period was starting to get OLD.

They did lots LOTS of bloodwork. Still waiting on that. They did a t/v ultrasound (ha ha ha...I love the term dildo cam) and the doc thinks I have PCOS. My ovaries were on the larger side, had lots of small follicles in each, no ovulation in sight even though I was CD35 at the time of the appointment. Bloodwork will determine if I have PCOS or not. He''s putting me on 50 mg of Clomid and will do an HSG on CD 7ish, after I start up my period. I just finished a round of Provera to bring on my period, so I should be ovulating the first week in February.
36.gif
I hope it works!!! There are so many success stories with Clomid so I''m keeping faith.

So I''ll be right with those that are waiting on AF. We might be ovulation buddies and making late October babies!!!
