The Official TTC Thread!

My husband woke me up at 3:30am doing his usual crawl into bed after playing video games all night. I really had to pee so I got up, and then changed my alarm to ring at 7am instead of the usual 6am so I could get at least 3 hours of sleep in between. I know this might be the cause for the temp rise and I am fully open to accepting that darn AF if she shows up (but I hope she doesn't).

ETA: I think all of the temperatures from last week are actually screwed up because I haven't been sleeping well at all. I toss and turn most of the night, my eyes fly open at 2am, 3am. I usually a light sleeper so I might be aware of the sounds going on around me 2-3 times a night but in between those moments I sleep deep. But something has been up this past week.

Allie- You''ve just described one of the many reasons why I don''t temp and never will

Crazy video game playing husbands! That and waking up at 5 AM on workdays, spending the night at work. Blah.

Still thinking of you, Bella, and Inhisarms!

Ice...he''s usually pretty good about coming up at a reasonable hour but he just got a new game for the Wii. Usually my alarm goes off at 6am to temp and then I hit snooze until 6:30 and then finally get up. If you have a crazy schedule I can understand why it is hard to temp. My schedules are very regular (I am a teacher).

Bella and Inhisarms...any signs of that dreaded Aunt?

Thanks Icekid and Allie.

As of right now, no signs of AF. I want to test so bad but it''s that whole getting a BFN that is keeping me from doing it. I''d rather AF show her face then see a negative test. I''m weird like that. Haha.

Add me to the list of women who have gamer husbands! hehe. But mine hasn''t been nearly as bad lately as he used to be.

Any signs for you Allie? How about you Bella?

No signs of AF for me either. But she doesn''t usually announce her visit ahead of time...just Booom here she is. Always, first thing in the morning though!

Allie, temp high is good news! I don''t think the particular temp value is super important, as long as it is well above coverline and doesn''t show a strong drop from some normal ''high'' value just before AF. Your chart looks good!

Fingers crossed for you ladies!

Thanks Kit, inhisarms, Bliss and Fisher!

inhisarms, you think this cat is the pregnancy-sensing equivalent of that spooky cat on an episode of House, where the cat would snuggle up with a new nursing home patient just before the person died? (This being House, there was a rational explanation: the patients had some infection and had a temperature and thus the cat was merely heat-seeking.)

I am feeling a little better today, whew. Don''t really have the option of being a zombie most days.

Allie, AF usually visits me in the morning as well. Hardly ever is it later in the day.

Cara, haha. Yes, I am hoping she is pregnancy sensing! Either way though, she''s freaking me out. She is NEVER this lovable with ANYONE. Could very well be just a fluke though. Animals are funny like that.

Oh man...on one hand I really want to test. On the other I don't want to see a BFN glaring at me. I am worried that I might even be too scared to test tomorrow! I think I noticed two new blue veins on my boobs from the top of the boob to like the nip area. AGAIN...I might be imagining things!

ETA: But AF isn't supposed to show till Tuesday! I am very hopeful for you and Bella since today was your AF day!

Allie, I''m with you on feeling like I''m imagining everything. And I am also scared to test. I hate seeing BFN''s!

My boobs are definitely swollen, like as in, full. Much fuller than normal but the soreness has gone away for the most part. Only sore on the sides a little. Is that odd?

My boobs were never sore to begin with just fuller...I think. If this is all in my head I am going to feel like such a dummy. Wanting to be preggo makes your mind think crazy things huh? I am definitely going to wait until tomorrow. If there is a drop below the coverline, I won''t test. If it''s still high I will. If I get a BFP I think I am going to surprise DH when he gets home from work! I saw super cute onesies in Target that say "I <3 my Daddy" I think I might wrap that up with the pee stick and give that to him.

Aww that would be so adorable! I have always thought about how I would tell DH and our parents. There are tons of awesome ways to tell people.

And don't feel like a dummy. We all go through it!

I wonder how Bella is doing. Hopefully AF is staying away from her.

I am slowly losing patience. I went to CVS last night and they had a 3 pack of tests on sale for like 10 or 11 bucks. It took everything in me to resist!

Okay well, I guess my body totally played games with me this month or it was indeed, all in my head... AF showed just a minute ago.

So I guess I am out for this month ladies. Thanks so much for being there for me! I WILL be back though!

Allie and Bella, good luck! I am hoping and praying for you!

On the bright side, after reading the whole DivaCup thread here, I now get to try out the Instead Cups I purchased instead of the usual tampons! Yay!

Ugh. Darn you AFF! So sorry Inhisarms. I am glad you are going to stick around these parts, though.

for inhisarms, best of luck next month!

Thanks Cara, Kit and Po. It''s really alright. We''re not officially trying yet so I didn''t have my hopes set too high. I know it''ll happen when the time is right. That is true for all those TTC too. Never lose hope!

I am definitely sticking around. You''re a wonderful group of ladies and going through all of this with you is amazing. I have gained such a wealth of knowledge from being here and it''s just going to make it that much better for me when we are officially TTC.

So sorry to hear, IHA. At least, you''re not the only one with this syndrome hehe

Awe IHA I am so sorry. Mine feels like she''s on the way as well. I am getting cramping and lower back pain!
7.gif

IHA - Bummer! Sorry to hear about AF. I''ll be pulling for you next month.

Allie - I''m still rooting for you girl! You''re not out yet. I will be checking back first thing tomorrow to see what happens.

Bella - Crossing my fingers for you too! That is so cool that you did a Panama cruise. That was my second favorite cruise we''ve done. Who did you sail with? I loved that you got to see such diverse places all on one voyage. I really liked Costa Rica. Oh, and I got the 30 day shred in the mail yesterday so today will be day one of what I''m calling the 60 day shred. We''ll see how it goes!

Fisher - I think I''ve said it a million times, but I love to cruise! What is drawing you to Cozumel? That might help us make some suggestions if you can tell us what you''re looking for on your vacation. We tend to avoid Mexico because we''ve found the vendors in the ports so pushy and the beaches are much better in other parts of the Carribbean. Congrats on three years! We''re rounding the corner on two years, which seems crazy to me.

Thanks Kunzite! I don''t know what else to attribute the pain to but I will definitely check back in tomorrow morning!

Awww, Inhisarms, I''m sorry. I had a cycle (or two) where I was *sure* I was preggo because my pups were being SO clingy and cuddling up right on my lower tummy. I just knew it was a sign... that and so many other things. It''s very difficult not to read into signs, twinges, all that kind of thing. It''s crazy how a person''s thoughts can over-rule what''s reality sometimes. Wishing you lots of luck for when you are TTCing, girl. Any idea when that will be?

Kunzite,

I should have given more details about the cruise. Paul''s wanted to go on a cruise since we married; I''m terrified of water, so last summer we did a "lunch cruise" on a river boat and I loved it. Not a fear in the world. Then in the fall I went on a dolphin cruise (tiny boat) and did well, too. So, I''m willing to try a cruise on a huge boat, but it has to be short (read: 3-4 days), being that we live in GA, that means we''d leave from Florida (Tampa or Miami), and from the options I''ve looked at, the options are Nassau and Cozumel. The length of the cruise kind of limits options for destination. One other thing I wonder about is if we''re going to end up stuck on a boat with a bunch of drunks. Neither of us drink at all and that''s really not appealing to us. A friend said Carnival pretty much promises a lot of drinking, but something like Royal Carribean may mean less drunkeness. Have you found this to be true? Seriously, any suggestions will be most appreciated. Neither of us have been on a cruise before.... we''re looking for a shortish one, over Paul''s spring break from work, and hopefully not too very expensive because we''d like to have a baby-moon, too (this year!!).

Where is Bella hiding? I am wondering if she broke and tested today! Can''t wait to hear from you Bells!

Thanks ladies. I truly do appreciate your kind words and support.

Fisher, we will probably be TTC officially within the next year or so. We originally planned on trying when we are 28 but considering my family history and such, I am terrified I will have a hard time getting pregnant so we agreed that we''d start much earlier than planned just in case. No matter when it happens, we''re ready.

Bliss-How are you?

No AF yet. The cramping I was feeling earlier seemed to pass. Lots of CM like all of last week. I am pretty sure she will be here by morning so we will see.

As far as going to bed together. I don''t know what is up with boys and why they are like that. My DH refuses sometimes to go to sleep. He says I go to bed way to early for him. Like 11pm is early! Catch you on the flipside!

:-) Yep, I think midnight is perfectly acceptable "bedtime"
3.gif
and if he wants to do "married people stuff" then 11 really works better IYKWIM
2.gif
I need my sleep!!!
9.gif

Can;t wait to hear how everyone''s tomorrow goes:-) if AF doesn''t come in the night I am POS first thing in the morning:-) Maybe I''ll go window shopping at Tiffany tomorrow to cheer myself up if AF comes

Bella- I can relate to the bed time thang, unfortunately. It's so unusual these days for us to go to bed together that it's hard for me to fall asleep on the rare occasion that it happens. We used to and I miss it! But alas, he is a night owl and I wake up at 5 am everyday, thus go to bed around 9. It sucks.

Otherwise, residency is one day at a time. I am on call tomorrow
14.gif

Fingers crossed for tomorrow

Thanks for welcoming me everyone! I love how this thread has really picked up lately! I love checking in for BFPs!!!!

Sorry AF showed up IHA.
7.gif

Allieluv
and Bella- can''t wait to see what I think I''ll see tomorrow! Good Luck ladies!

Icekid- How did this work out that we''ll be trying together? I''m super excited! Maybe we''ll get KU at the same time and will continue on our parallel paths.... We''re you in WNY at all during the holidays? I was just there and totally forgot to inquire about a meetup. As much as I love going home I am glad I don''t live there anymore, I gained weight from just one week in B-lo! Mmmm pizza, wings, Wegmans subs and sponge candy!

My husband is definitely not a video gamer. He actually doesn''t like playing most kids of games, just sports or things like air hockey, pool and foosball (sp?). I have a hard time with this because I love games and I love my wii. I always tell people that if there were two things I could change about him they would be that he doesn''t like games, and he can''t sit criss-cross-applesauce! I hope our kids will want to play some card, board or video games with their mama
39.gif
. We do go to bed around the same time though so that''s good!

So as for me: still waiting to ovulate and get AF... We had an earthquake early Saturday morning so I woke up 2 hours before my usual temp time and it put my temp above the CL but alas it was back under today
7.gif
. I''m actually on a trip away from hubby in Tahoe with the little girls I used to nanny (I use that as a verb too) and I am having tons of EWCM (anyone remember what T-gal calls it
9.gif
31.gif
- I laugh every time I think of it...). Anyway I feel like we should be trying but if I do ovulate we''ll miss it. Ah well! Can''t wait to end this cycle and start trying for reals
41.gif
.

Well, I''m not Ice Kid but...

I love what TGal calls it, but my DH gets really embarrassed and thinks I am totally cruse if I say it
20.gif
2.gif

Wegmans is where it''s at:-) MY BFF lives in SYracuse and introduced me to Wegmans a few years ago. My assistant at work is from Buffalo. He and I were just talking last week about how Wegmans needs to expand in NYC, they''d make a killing:-)

Still no sign of AF here..hopefully tomorrow will bring a definitive answer one way or another
3.gif

So...Its 11:37 and I''m still up. Should I test tonight or just wait until the morning...? the suspense is starting to kill me
3.gif
I know FMU has more hormone in it, but since AF was due today shouldn''t the level be high enough in the evening to test?
