The Official TTC Thread!

Aw, thanks allie.

I was really stressed last month (and am a major control freak in real life) but I realized that being stressed about this would lead one place if it took a long time-a breakdown (seriously!
3.gif
) and if it happened quickly than what was the point of freaking out for a few months. I''ve been praying a lot about it-both that God will send us a baby and that I won''t be so stressed
2.gif
This month is way better. We''ll what next month brings...

That is such an awesome way to look at it. I think I finally came to that realization after wasting 9 $tree tests, 2FRER''s and one digi. The stress was like beyond me and I realized...hello...it''s totally out of my hands. I need to just sit back and be a little patient. At the latest AF is due to show her face on Tuesday. Which seems like a wicked long time from now. I might test on Monday if she doesn''t come by then!

:-) let''s make a pact...we''ll both stop stressing and test on Monday if AF hasn''t shown up yet
3.gif

well I hope the with doesn''t get you both this month it would be so nice to see another couple of bfp''s on here.

DEAL! and if mine does show I will order her to STAY away from Bella!

Oh man, it's going to be a LONG WAIT UNTIL MONDAY!

Even I can't wait that long!

Seriously? Awesome!

You ladies have some amazing willpower! If you want, I can distract Aunt Flo by baking her some chocolate chip cookies. She always seems to appear around the time I cave in and bake some.

Allie and Bella I am crossing my fingers for you both! Hope AF doesn''t show up!!!

For me, I have to wait even longer, I have to wait until Next Friday. AF is supposed to come and I have been praying she doesn''t. So far no real signs, I have been trying not to think about it to much, but it''s hard! Today I am REALLY tired and my (.)(.) have been a little sore, but not horrible yet. I know it is really early for me but I really hope this is the month for us! Good luck girls!!

Hey ladies. I have been trying to stay away from this thread to keep my sanity. Haha. But even staying away isn't helping with my making everything out to be a pregnancy symptom! Just take for instance, I was just about to get in the shower and I looked at my (*)(*)'s and my nipples were dark red, I mean way more dark than normal. I immediately thought, oh maybe that's a sign! But then I remembered they say the area around the nipple is what sometimes changes so I guess it's not a sign. And last night, my cat, Isabel, who is very independent and hardly EVER lovey-dovey, curled up on my tummy and didn't budge an inch for about an hour. And even afterward, she followed me around the house like a lost puppy. So then I thought I must be pregnant because they say animals sometimes act like that when you're expecting. Okay and then let's see... yesterday at work, I had to pee a bagillion times! I even had a co-worker comment on how often I was going! haha. Ugh, I'm just nuts.

I am now 11dpo and I still get that weird dull ache in the pubic area and sometimes on the lower right side. Just odd. Maybe I'm making something of nothing but to be honest, I am having fun with the wait. I love roller coasters and this sure is one! It's all a part of the journey!

Allie and Bella, here's to BFP to you two!!! I'll be praying for you!

ETA* Icekid, I must have missed you saying you got a BFN. I am sorry to hear. But again, there is always next time!

Hang in there, Allie, Bella and Inhisarms!! ETA: Jena, you too!! Bliss is right, we are waiting on pins and needles here. The 2ww stinks! Here's hoping the cramping is your uterus gettin' biz-ay
31.gif
If it helps, good cramping would be right behind/below your pubic bone.

Icekid, sorry about your BFN
8.gif
Darnit. Chin up, there's always next time.

LA Jennifer, I am not sure what to make of it but good luck with your testing and your cycles! I hope whatever treatments you are undergoing work very quickly.

@Bliss...I thought I couldn''t wait but I can''t take anymore BFN''s glaring at me from the trashcan!

@Jena...thank you for your kind words and your crossed fingers! Fingers crossed for you as well.

@Inhisarms...I am glad you are having signs and its so sweet about your kitty they do say animal intuition is amazing!

I am convinced that all of my signs are psychosomatic!

Bliss-if you bake choc chip cookies for AF, I want some

It is getting very suspenseful over here.

The way I see it, but the time we hold out and wait until Monday, then we''re actually already in the next cycle and somehow a BFN on CD2 doesn''t sound so bad. You''re less than a week away from getting to start the big GOTF

(and starting another 2ww)

In his Arms, Allie, and Jena--Fingers crossed for a BFP!

It''s amazing how a spelling mistake changes the entire context of a sentence.

That was supposed to be witch!!! lol

That''s three more sleeps til Monday, that seems ages away, but my fingers are crossed for you ladies.

I have been taking tests in the morning and if it''s a negative I just throw it away. Yesterday morning I threw and FRER stick in the can and went to work and when I came home I see that it is way ontop of the trash. I say to DH "honey were you rummaging through the trash to see my pee stick?" and he got all embarrassed and goes "yes I wanted to find out if I should be excited!" since he told me not to tell him if its positive before going to work because he wants to be together and celebrate! I thought that was so sweet

Um... so you can add me to the list of women for whom sore (*)(*) was a pregnancy sign... I was trying not to read too much into it b/c they can be a bit sore during the PMS phase, but they were a little out of control this week and apparently had cause!

No POAS test, but here is my chart:

Congrats Cara! When will you be testing?

CONGRATS ON YOUR BFP!!!!

Oh HH and Allie, my first post was poorly worded. I took a POAS yesterday, got a BFP, but don't have a picture of the test! So I think I am knocked up! Also I feel pretty miserable right now, in a highly specific morning sickness kind of way. It was pretty funny actually, right after the first test I got really excited and then was instantly nauseous.

Anyway, I am looking forward to being pregnancy buddies with HH and Kit and possibly some of the ladies on the torturous two-week-wait. Don't let me stop anyone from testing, but I was kind of like 'what will be will be' this time around, and I wanted to wait long enough that I was pretty sure the test would be accurate either way. Though you can see me getting a little less lazy in my charting, anxiously taking my temp towards the end there, looking to see a temp drop, so I guess I was monitoring a bit. Normally, being a scientist, I am a fan of more data :)

Thanks Bella and Lucy!

And thought I'd shout out to blushing, if she is out there in lurkerland, as she was my pregnancy buddy last time and I am hoping doing OK out there in the etherworld...

Awe YAY! Congratulations!!!!! How many DPO were you before you got your BFP?

Oh I totally missed that you''d already gotten your BFP! Well considering that, I''d say you were KTFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations and lots of sticky dust for you!!!

Allie, you don't use FF do you
2.gif
I tested on CD 28. FF thinks I o'd on CD14, I think I o'd on CD13, so I managed to wait until 14-15 DPO, depending. My husband was leaving on a trip Thursday and I wanted to test before he left. By Wed (CD27) I was pretty suspicious, and then when my temp was still high on Thusday I was pretty sure the test would be positive as I normally have a 13 day LP, so I went ahead and tested. The test came up + quick enough that it probably would have registered a few days earlier, but on my first (brief) pregnancy last spring, I didn't get a + until 4-5 days after I expected my period (though I wasn't charting so could have ovulated late) so I was basically trying to wait to start testing until it was more reasonable to expect a solid answer.

Anyway, I start grinning at the stick, and then ran back into the bedroom to show DH, and he was sleeping so peacefully I decided not to wake him right away... thinking I'll still be pregnant in a few hours! hopefully a few thousand more hours! (and so begins the 36 week wait...) So I showed him the test after he stumbled out of bed awhile later.

I keep wanting to test to see if I''m still pregnant. Like this is a dream and I''ll wake up and it''ll be negative
7.gif

Trust it HH! The first trimester involves a lot of faith in something, and I am not religious
1.gif
Are you having any symptoms? Not that that is a guarantee or anything, no guarantees in this business, but the pregnancy symptoms make it easier for me to comprehend being pregnant, though the whole baby-thing remains a bit surreal!

I''m definitely having symptoms, a lot of them. But my girlfriends have chalked it up to mental tricks (I''m in the middle of my 4th week now). I spent the day yesterday about to heave and today I''m bone tired. And the bloat, OMG, like nothing I''ve experienced.

I am sorry I do use it but I just glanced at your chart quickly. After I asked my question I went back and looked. Congrats again!!!!

No problem Allie! Probably my fault for burying relevant information in a teensy tiny little plus sign on the chart!

It is hard waiting for 14DPO isn''t it? I am totally struggling with that right now!

There is your #3 BFP, Bliss

Fabulous news... congrats, cara

I'm not saying you have to wait Allie - there are plenty of women that have gotton a BFP on 10 or 11 DPO (and a small handful on 9 DPO) but if you are going to test, you need to be mentally prepared for a negative that is inconclusive. And me personally, if I were going to test earlier, I would run out and buy some FRERs, test only with first morning urine following the directions exactly and throwing out the test (if negative) after 10 min to avoid seeing and reading into an evap line. If you are testing with digi's, they need a higher hormone level, and dollar store cheapies may or may not be reliable and they may or may not be sensitive enough for early testing.

But really, if you are taking your temp each morning, and it stays high, you are still in the the game.

Thanks icekid! Yeah, bliss, we are only halfway through January and three already!
