The Official TTC Thread!

HOuie-Be strong, I know I hate BFNs so I wait as long as I can stand to test:-)

no my end, went to the DR today bc still itchy, burny, and crampy, but all test came back perfect--no UTI, no yeast infection, nothing...argh! So, we''re jsut going to BD like fools this week and see what happens. I think maybe this could be a combo of stress causing cramps (i am at the end of a really stressful semester and just started a new job) and maybe having an allergy to detergent or something (itchy and burny...) who knows
20.gif

CD 12 here, CF seems to be ramping up but OPKS are still totally negative. I think the fade-in just started today b/c I got a medium faint line, but it''s been blank up until now...

Thanks for the welcome! I broke down and tested - BFN. I think part of the reason I am really really hoping for a positive (other than of course, I''d love to have a baby!) is that it was kind of a spontaneous decision and I don''t know how long it will take for DH to get on board with officially "officially" trying.

The 2WW takes forever! I really admire all of you who are patient enough to wait
1.gif

geri, congrats on your wedding and honeymoon and welcome back!

hou, yes, it''s definitely still early! what kind of sticks do you have? I think the internet ones aren''t as sensitive, so maybe that''s why? I''m still thinking yes for you!

dcgator, can''t wait to hear from you tomorrow!

welcome huskylover.

Hello ladies,

How did everyone make it through Monday? Mine was long and today will be longer, but I still wanted to get in a few words.

Geri: Welcome back married lady. I am happy to hear you enjoyed your HM in Mexico with your hubby
2.gif
Thanks for the well wishes. No luck yet, but I have my fingers crossed...

Huskylover: Welcome to the TTC hood
35.gif
I hope your stay is short and sweet. I second the mock drink, ie a glass with seltzer water or cranberry juice with water and a lime. As for when to test, I think it''s your perogative. Most people tend to get BFP after 10DPO''s but some get some earlier. Best of luck!

Lynnie: Happy anniversary and what a way to celebrate it
9.gif
That scavenger hunt sounds great! What a wonderful way to tell your hubby. It sounds like he was just as thrilled as you to find out. And I love his question, lol
25.gif
Your weekend sounds just fabulous too.

Houie: So, if you are triphasic, what does that mean for this cycle? Does it mean your O''ed twice or you O''ed later? Sorry, I''m sure I read it somewhere but I can''t remember...
14.gif
. As for being 10DPO, if you O''ed later, than maybe you are earlier in your cycle. So, just hang in there honey. Wait tilll tomorrow, and maybe your patience will be rewarded with a happy surprise. I am sending you all my positive vibes and hoping for some good news in the morning
2.gif

Krissie: It was a no go this morning, but I think I am going to try tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed
2.gif
. Your vaca sounds good. Even if it''s just a work trip, its nice to get out of the office
1.gif

Bella: That is kinda a bummer about the symptoms, but its good that you don''t have a UTI. I hope you still get to enjoy your BD''ing marathon.

*****
Well, I am in a conference pretty much all day tomorrow, so I won''t be around much. But, I will try to get on before I go to conference and let you know any good news
2.gif
. Good night all!

Best wishes dcgator!!

fingers crossed for you DC!!!

Just reposting to adjust my cycle date! Thanks dc!

I got crosshairs!!!!!!!! For CD 16. So I am CD 19 now, 3 DPO! (not sure if I need to be adjusted on the list? I didnt want to mess it up).

HOU any luck?

Krissie, I am optimistic for you
9.gif

DC, you too!!

Also, do you guys think a temp that was post 6 hours of sleep, but an hour earlier than normal is more or less reliable than one at the normal time, but after an hour of sleep? Both were high and I used the lowest, but FF made it "tentative" since it was out of my normal temp time range.

CatLuver - I''ve been using some cheapies but also some sensitive ones, all negative so far. boo!

DC - enjoy your conference!! Fingers crossed for you lady!!!
36.gif
Triphasic simply means that you had one temp shift at O time, then another temp shift later on, which MAY be indicative of implantation and increased progesterone release. It is more commonly found in preggo charts (~12%) than non-preggo charts (~4%), but just because you have it doesn''t mean you are definitely preggo. Just another sign that can be seen as positive. :) (Stats per FertilityFriend!)

Miscka - woohoooo crosshairs!! hehe! So that means you''re roughly a week away from potential BFP''s....how exciting is that!!! Good luck!

-------------------------------------

Just a quick drive by before work...temp this morning is the exact same as yesterday''s. Ovusoft called the chart triphasic today too, so agrees with FF! BFN this morning on a sensitive pink dye Answer brand test (11dpo). Still have a suspicion that I am preggo. Boobies feel a bit bigger (?) and kinda look veiny. Man, if I''m not preggo I am totally not gonna trust any early signs next time!!

DUST ALL AROUND!! :)

HOU, FF calls any BFPs before 14DPO "early", so you are def. still in the game!

Miscka, yay for crosshairs! I think CD 16 looks right.

HOU-
Its still early....keep us posted. And remember it ain''t over till AF sings :)

I feel like you are still in the game until AF rears her ugly head!

Hey ladies!

LV - thanks for the update. Sounds as though you are making the best of things. I think adding meditation and yoga to your regime make a lot of sense and can definitely go a long way in terms of relaxation and calm. I don''t feel like I have the discipline to that yet... but maybe down the road. My approach is spending quality time with DH and a lot of laughter... so of course that means a lot of episodes of It''s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the Office, SNL, and Modern Family :) Acupuncture is great... I am learning a lot and I think the 30 minutes of quiet are really good for me. My herbs are from a large Chinese Herb Pharmacy on the east coast: Kamwo Herbs. I definitely like that they are reputable and their products are quality-tested. I think the herbs from China are probably fine, but if your gut says no then go with that feeling.

Hou - Really hoping your second line is just a day or two away. Thanks for the all the updates. We are pulling for you - especially with all those symptoms.

Huskylover - Sorry about your BFN too. I understand your anxieties about DH''s feelings about REALLY trying... although I have heard that a disappointment can often get DH on board because they have wrapped their heads around the concept and even gotten a little excited. No idea how to get around the drinking at a sit down dinner type of event - let us know if you figure anything out. I have done the cranberry and soda with lime but people hear you order it so there goes your cover. When just at a bar I have gotten a beer and dumped it out in the bathroom and refilled it with bottled water... lame but did the trick. Or maybe try to get one person in on it with you and have them order something from the bar and bring it to you on the sly?

geri - welcome back!

Lynnie - your will power is amazing and the scavenger hunt sounds like something you''ll both remember for a long time. Hope all is well for you.

Krissie - good luck holding out to test! eagerly awaiting some more great April BFPs. If it is not your month at least you can FULLY enjoy your vacation. Trying to see the silver lining ;)

DC - fingers and toes crossed for you. Hoping for some good news too.

Miscka - love to see crosshairs... it''s another step in the right direction. And try not to worry about the occasional night of drinking... this process can be stressful enough so it is sometimes a good thing to enjoy the moment. Good luck with the 2ww.

Bella - glad the doctor''s appointment went well and all things are a-go... I feel like you are due a BFP.

Charbie - if you peak your head back in here, just know I am thinking about you...

-----------

CD51 for me actually... blaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Going for my fifth acupuncture appointment tomorrow... capping off a month of treatment. They say it generally takes about 3 so I am trying to just relax and enjoy this grace period. My chart is all over the place (temps ranging from 97.0-98.0) but dashed cross hairs appeared a couple days ago... I really don''t think I Oed cause I had no other signs and my temps have not stayed above the line... so I think it will be a wait and see thing. I will try to post it if I can.

Thanks for all the love, Miscka, luvinlife, AllieLuv, and RyanClaire!! :) You gals on this thread are the best!!

AllieLuv, how are you feeling?? How far along are you now??
9.gif

RyanClaire, sorry for the neverending cycle. Boooooooo. PS: about posting your chart...what I do is make sure that the image I save to my computer to post is the one off of my FF homepage...it always seems to fit the size limit better. Just go to "homepage setup" and then "preview" and then right click and save the image there of your chart onto your desktop or something, then attach that pic to your post. Always works for me! I hope either you O''ed and caught the egg or that AF shows up soon so you can move on to a fresh new cycle. It must be so frustrating to have one so long and not know if you O''ed or not. Big hugs.

--------------------------------------

So I have been known to say before that it doesn''t bother me to test early and get BFN''s....but I think I was wrong. LOL. I''m considering just stepping away from the pee sticks until AF is due. I''m 11dpo now and my LP is usually 13 or 14 days long, so she should show by 14 or 15 dpo if I''m not preggo. It will be very hard not to test....argh. I am so not a "delayed gratification" kind of person. LOL. But maybe it''s best?? What do y''all think?

HOU, idk...I would be tempted to keep testing! But I am in my first 2ww, so who knows how I will feel when I get there?

Do you guys have VIP FF? My trial is up in 13 days, and if I am not KTFU I wonder if I should sign up?

Seeing BFNs: Hou, I didn't test until 17 DPO! I was sure I wasn't pregnant and I hate hate hate seeing BFNs. I would rather just get AF than see neg tests.

Laila, WOW! How did you ever make it to 17dpo without testing?!?! I aspire!!

Miscka, I do have VIP. It''s certainly not necessary, but it is kinda fun. :)

hou, I know BFNs suck, but if I had symptoms like you, I don''t think I''d be able to stop myself from testing! But if you can, good for you. I''d never be able to wait 17 days like Laila. Good luck!!!

Ryan Claire, thank you! I agree - at least there's a beachy destination where I can drown my sorrows
2.gif

DC and Miscka, thank you for being positive on my behalf!
9.gif
DC, definitely try to keep us posted!! Miscka, I also have VIP, and it's amazing - definitely worth the $$

Hou, I strongly feel you are going to get a BFP. However, maybe back away from the strips for 2 days, for some peace of mind perhaps? Like Laila, I had such a bad time last month when I kept getting BFNs, that I decided this month I would wait until close to 13 DPO (my avg luteal phase). I never thought I would be so let-down by the BFNs, even when I knew it was too early to test!

As for me, I'm still feeling discouraged! My temps went up slightly today after a low yesterday (all still above cover). I'm 8 DPO and not really seeing anything that could technically be an implantation dip. Most of my temps are pretty flat, right around the cover line, so since I don't have those beautifully high temps I think I'm out this cycle. Anyone else have experience with temps hugging the cover line? The only one spike I had was the morning after I'd had a few drinks
38.gif

Hou - thanks for the sympathy and charting advice... I think you just have to do what you have to do to get through the 2ww - so if you test or not, try not to feel like it''s right or wrong. Just do what is best for you (easier said than done).

Llet me see if the homepage chart works. I think it did... so here we have it 51 days of fun. I started on Clomid this cycle...with no results and then started acupuncture CD24 and herbs CD31. There is the dashed coverline but I think it seems like a fluke considering my temps and lack of any other signs. Will it disappear if I have more temps below the cover line? Either way it was not great BDing pattern (around then 0-3 - we were not keeping up any marathon - I applaud anyone who does for a LONG cylce) but really I am just looking to move past this cycle and get to a fresh slate. It is kinda irrational but I think getting pregnant on a cycle this wonky would not be ideal... like somehow the egg would be past its prime :)

FYI - since I went off the Nuva Ring in September of 2009, I have had 3 cycles, all of which have been artifical ended with Provera (no ovulation). 127 days, 59 days, and now 51 days...

277542.png

Ryan Claire - oh my! Hugs to you for your cycle. I''ve had a lot of 45+ day cycles and what a pain - I''ve never tried to chart any of them, but I can only imagine how frustrated you feel right now. I hope that your O date becomes more clear in the coming days!!

****

I''m attaching my file, just to get your opinions!
5.gif
Like I said before, I''m a little concerned that the temps haven''t done much.

KChart.jpg

huskylover, are those your dogs? I love your av!!

Krissie - I am a total charting noob. Have you tried using FFs "chart gallery" to find charts like yours and see if they are pg or ovulatory? I did that today, its a really cool feature!

RC - sorry about your wonky cycle. Fingers crossed that acupuncture brings some shorter cycles. We love modern family and Sunny, too! I think I read somewhere that Dee is pg IRL w/ Mack''s baby! I guess they started dating on set. Crazy!

I appreciate the VIP advice, ladies, and I think I will get it. I really like the traffic light and the "intercourse pattern" thingy. Also today it told me my due date would be Jan 8 if I conceived this cycle.

Ugh the 2ww blows!! I am already impatient, lol.

My DH just told the potential group of baby cells in my belly to "stick their landing" which totally cracked me up! I hope HOU, DC, Krissie, and all the other TTCers'' all stick theirs too!

Krissie, I think your chart looks great! It shows a clear ovulation on CD 17, and you BD on the right days. Why are you concerned about your temps?

Hi ladies,

Sorry to keep you in suspense all day, but I left before 7 am this morning, and didn''t have the brain power to post
3.gif
Also sorry that I messed up everyone''s CD''s. Apparently, I am a goofball-apotomas, I am going to try to repost the list with the ones who gave me their correct days. If your''s is wrong, please repost the list with your corrections, thanks!

2WW: HOUMedGal, DCGator, Krissie, Miscka

Huskylover: Sorry about the BFN, I know how it feels
14.gif
It''s still early for you too though. Hang in there and keep a positive attitude, lots of sticky dust for you!

Fiery: Thanks for the well wishes! How is your little bunny rabbit? She looks precious!

Bella: Thanks for the happy thoughts. How is the BD''ing marathon going, you still feeling ok?

Miscka: I would go with the 6 hrs of sleep one. FF will give you a one hour window within your normal temp time and still call that normal. Thanks for the update! Congrats on the crosshairs and welcome to the 2WW
1.gif
Btw, I love FF VIP. I think its worth the $. And I love your DH''s line. I hope my DH''s boys follow his advice!

Houie: Thanks for the info. I am hoping that you are in that 12%! Sorry about the BFN. I am right there with you
15.gif
. It''s good that you at least feel KU. I am starting to doubt myself, and I just don''t know if I am KU. I guess I don''t have anything to compare to, so that doesn''t help much. If I don''t get my BFP before Saturday, I am going to run my half marathon, so I only have 3 more days to find out. Hurry up already HCG hormones, lol. Those crazy hormones need to scoot over to you too! As far as testing before AF, do it if you want it. If you can take the suspense, do it. If not, we will be here to talk you through the great (or not so great) news. Big (((Hug)))

Ryan Claire: I am so sorry for your uberlong cycles, but at least FF gave you crosshairs this month. And maybe you body will get the memo (between the Clomid and the accupuncture) and finally get AF on your own. Btw, My DH and I are totally in
30.gif
iwth Modern Family too
9.gif

Krissie: Your chart looks good to me lady! I don''t necessarily know if you have to have a pronounced O dip, so as long as you are above your cover line, I think you are good. Happy thoughts for you!

****
As for me, I had another BFN this morning, boo. However, I was not too comfortable with my OPK''s and my O date, so I took them out. It gave me an O date on CD12 instead of CD 11. So, technically, I am on 9DPO today. So, I guess I wouldn''t have gotten a BFP yesterday or possibly even today. So, I am holding out a bit of hope for tomorrow''s test. I should be on tomorrow, as I am back at work. Till then, good luck to you ladies in the 2WW and in your BD''ing marathons!

:-) I''m feeling better tonight, so here goes the BDing marathon:-) still not a positive OPK yet though, but I think the fade-in is starting today.

Good morning all

Firstly, I just want to thank DC for her all her hard work pulling together the list and keeping it up to date, you''re a wee star!!!

Secondly, I am so willing a bfp for you Hou and keep popping in periodically to see if you''ve posted.

And......lastly, af is on her way and will be here by Friday or Saturday (BOO!!) so am currently on cd28.

I have a feeling it will be a Summer or Autumn (fall) pg for me.

Have a good day everyone!!

DC don''t lose hope! I didn''t get my BFP until 10DPO though I was obsessively testing from 8DPO. Even at 10DPO with FMU my FRER was so light that it didn''t come up in the time frame. I dumped it and went back to bed only to go dumpster diving later in the morning. I saw a faint line it was insane and I really didn''t believe it. I took a digital that night because I was making myself CRAZY and it came up "pregnant" right away!

Thank you DC, Laila and Miscka for looking at my chart!

I was concerned because the only really high temp post-O was after drinking (which I think probably causes a spike). My temp rose a bit again this morning, so I feel less concerned - but we''ll see
