The Official TTC Thread!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

LV: Thanks for clarifying about the acupuncturist. It seems like the stars really did align for you that month!! I love hearing stories like that about how things fell into place. Hopefully there can be some more of that around here soon.

KTF: Just wanted to say I am thinking of you today and hoping the surgery closes this chapter of your TTC process for good. If you are unhappy with your OB, I would say it might be a time to get a new one and have a fresh start after the procedure just to give you peace of mind. Hoping that AF behaves and returns for real soon so you can be back to CD1 and that much closer to your LO.

Dragonfly: Glad your cycle seems back to normal, maybe last month was a fluke?

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

KTF - I'm thinking of you and hoping your surgery goes as smoothly as can be expected. I hope AF comes back soon for you!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hey Ladies,

Sorry for not posting in a couple days, but the last two days have been AWFUL at work, with 12+ hour days. :evil: So, now that I can finally catch my breath, I thought is was right time to catch up with everyone.

Charbie - Thanks for the well wishes. I have head the same thing about low BBT's too. I also have low pre and post O BBT's, plus it looks like I have some LP issues, so there might be some beef to the hypothyroid concern. However, since you have already gotten KU, and have showed no other issues (like pre-AF spotting) or short LP's, I wouldn't be as concerned. But, it won't hurt to keep an eye on it.

LV - Thanks for the article/tip! I will most definitely push to stay in there at least 15 minutes after the procedure :wink2: As for the percentages, I think that 2-3% is what they say are the odds for getting KU when you have "unexplained infertility". I'm sure its not a perfect mathematical equation, just an average or something. Either way, IUI = increased odds :bigsmile: I also appreciated your commentary on acupuncture. I know that it was not directed towards me, but I think I might have to look into that too.

Steal - Thanks so much for the happy thoughts. I am going to have to round up all the rabbit feet, 4-leaf clovers, and anything else I can think of, lol. It's funny you should mention insurance, b/c it is turning into a PITA right now, but I will get to that below. That's a real bummer about the contacts. Boo. I hope that your eye infection clears up soon, so you can get out of your glasses. I know how much I hate wearing mine, so I feel ya girl. As for your BD'ing pattern, I think you guys hit a homerun! Wow, that is seriously impressive. :appl: However, I don't know if I can tell you about the OPK sticks. I usually use those in cooperation with my BBT b/c those things can be tricky, plus, you can have a LH surge with no O due to stress, etc, and then you can have a 2nd LH surge and eventual O. Either way though, I think you caught O and you will just have to wait it out maybe a couple extra days. On that note, welcome to the 2WW and good luck to you lady!

Parrot - Thanks for checking in. Wow, 13DPO already, you are a superstar for hanging in there till the weekend! Please do let us know how it goes. Fingers, toes, etc crossed for you!

Modern - Thanks for the love. We'll have to see how it goes, though I would love to be a jerkstore of some kind :tongue: As far as your 2WW, don't count yourself out quite yet sweetie. It sounds to me like you either hit O-2 and O+1 or O-3 and O, which makes for some pretty good odds. Maybe you will surprise yourself next week ;) Good luck!

Dreamer- Thanks for the well wishes. Oh, really TTC next month, eh? Don't worry about the cold feet. I think even us ladies who don't have little ones and want them are still a bit freaked out about the whole thing. I would say if you know you want another LO, just go for it, and let nature decide. Oh, and :rolleyes: at the golf season baby. Silly DH!

KTF - I hope the surgery went well and that you are resting comfortable at home. Get better soon!

Ryan Claire - How nice to see you again. Sorry that PS ate your post, but thanks for checking in still :)) Yep, sounds like we will be battle buddies. I am CD7, and looking to trigger on Tuesday. I am heading out of town on Thursday, so I know I am not leaving myself much wiggle room, but hopefully it will be ok. Good luck with your process and keep us updated!

Dragonfly - Thanks for the well wishes. I'm not sure about your cycle oddness, but I think it could be attributed to the fact that (if I remember correctly) you are just coming off BC. Some people take a little while for everything to get back to normal. So, that could be it.

LTP - How you doing, everything good?

*****
AFM, Well, it appears I spoke to soon on the insurance thing. The financial people said that initally, my insurance would cover my IUI, but my insurance had other ideas. Apparently the morphology is not severe enough for my insurance to cover it. My insurance wants morphology below 4, which essentially equates to having to use IVF with ICSI (which they don't cover). DH has a 7, which while not dire, is not great either. From online research it appears you want higher than 11. So, me = :evil: It's not that we won't pay for it, but the fact is you have insurance for a reason, and should a doctor advise that I do IUI, why won't they support that. Ugh.

Anyway, we are still going through with the whole thing, since we don't feel like continuing with futile efforts. So, I head back in on Monday for more monitoring, and should I have all my little eggies in my basket ready to go, I will trigger on Tuesday and IUI on Wednesday.

Well I wish everyone in the 2WW lots of dust and for those embarking on your BD'ing marathons, enjoy!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Bella, The story about your brother and SIL, it's a good reminder that the moment you less expect it can happen, so we should never lose the hope.

Lauren, I try to rich Renee, but have not heard back. Are you guys doing something on Sunday?

KTF, I'm so sorry about what is happening with you. I hope the surgery today is the last one and soon you would be able to go back to normal life.

Modern, I have such a bad time trying to read the OPK, I have to switch to the clear blue brand, but I run out of test before I O :lol: . So I have not been lucky getting a positive yet :tongue: .

Steal, Thanks a lot for the OPK's information and for all the laughs :lol: I'm sorry sometimes you feel frustrated, it sucks I know :( but there is no other choice than keep trying. Sending you dust this month :wink2:

WON, I don't have any information about prenatals, but I just wanted to say :wavey: .

dcgator, :appl: I'm so happy you are going to do IUI this month and you and you DH are moving forward. The best of luck for you and your DH.

LV, thanks’ a lot for your answer, it was very meaningful and I really appreciate. I e-mailed my gyno, and she sent me a list of acupuncture places that she recommend :appl: I will start going my next cycle.

Parrot, good luck this month getting a BFP!!!

Dreamer, don’t get cold fit and start trying!!! :naughty:

eta, dcgator, I just read about your insurance :knockout: :knockout: I'm sorry :((

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

First and foremost....
KTF: I hope your surgery went well and you are feeling o.k. Lots of healing dust for you sweetheart.

Dcgator: Peanut gallery indeed! Harrumph. (sulk) :blackeye:
I am sorry you are working so hard at the moment. Make sure you keep taking care of yourself – proper dinners and the like. The news about your insurance (lack of) cover is terrible; I really am sorry. Good luck next week; I hope your timing is spot on! There is a dead mouse outside my utility door – it has four feet and I’m willing to share, do you want a ‘not quite as lucky as a rabbit but we will work with what is currently available’ mouse foot?

Gaby, LTP, Bella, WON, ModernS, Moxie, LAJenn, Dreamer, Charbie, LV, PT and 'just charting' DF ;)) : Hello everybody and if I have forgotten anybody I am really sorry! How are you doing? I really think we need some BFP's around here - esp. you Dreamer :naughty: .

So dust to all my ladies in the TTC-hood.

AFM: Thanks to everybody who weighed in on my OPK picture. The evening after I posted the picture I got only a faint line and the next day no line at all. So I think I O'd on Saturday or Sunday. Which makes me 5 DPO at the most, probably 4 DPO. To those asking about my cycle with Soya: I did have a longer surge (with less CM) than usual - should I blame the Soya? Will I do it again? Well ,if I get a BFP then I will absolutely use it again :tongue: .

In other news: I've been a-googling. I upped my B vitamins for whatever good it will do - some sites swear by the LP - improving qualities of B6. Who knows - and a vit B complex never hurt anybody, right?

Factoid of the day - apparently the normal sperm get shifting into the cervix a.s.a.p so the fluid that us TTC gals are only too familiar with is just seminal fluid and the abnormal swimmers. So it seems 'the legs together shimmy' after Bd'ing might not be entirely necessary. The sites suggest that laying on your back (or tummy if you have a tilted uterus) for 15-30 mins as a precaution (also, try not going to the loo in that time) but after that you are a-ok to do anything you want. Because the good boys are already on their mission.
If anybody is in the know and knows better - let me know. Otherwise, I find this very reassuring.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

DC - I've actually been off bc for two years now because it affected me so much. I gained weight but more, my PMS was actually WORSE on it than off. I would get to the point that I had back spasms that rendered me immobile. I'm looking into options again now but I'm very nervous about the idea of starting again.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Happy Friday everyone!

Hi Gaby! Hope all is well? Did you get through to Renee? Thanks for the B-day wishes. We're having dinner and birthday cake :lickout: tonight and then brunch with friends on Sunday. Hopefully, timing works out and we can meet up with LTP.

Bella, so great to hear your brother and SIL are doing well. I love hearing stories like that.

LTP, happy early birthday to you! Mine's on the 8th (today!). DH made us plans for brunch with friends on Sunday. I'll send you a message through another site to find out what time you're thinking of meeting up. Are you in NYC yet? The weather is lovely!

KTP, I hope your surgery went well and you're recovering nicely. I understand how frustrating this setback can be. :(sad

DC, I can't tell you how annoyed I am over your insurance issues. Grrrrr. I'm having my own frustrations with mine. I'm still getting bills from the hospital for my surgery. It's taking some time getting used to the different medical/insurance procedures/policies here. I'm glad to hear you're still going through with the IUI. I'm wishing nothing but the best for you!

Steal, :wavey: I got myself some pressies. Hahaha. Do those count? Keep posting those jokes and factoids. Love them. I have my own factoid to post. I just read you can (in the US) claim pregnancy tests as an expense on your taxes. Weird, huh? You're a few days ahead of me in the TWW. How are you holding up? Did your eye infection clear up?

modernsparkler, yay for great appointments and proactive doctors!

AFM, I believe I'm at DPO2. This cycle has been a bit frustrating as I started taking SI again and it gave me multiple patches of EWCM and erratic temps (lot's of zigzagging). It was annoying trying to guess when O was going to happen. I think it finally did a couple of days ago as I had a pretty significant dip at 95.9. :errrr: Hopefully FF will give me crosshairs tomorrow to confirm a temp shift.

Hope everyone is doing well and for my Canadian TTC PSers, have a Happy Thanksgiving! I'm kinda sad I won't be home for the holiday this year. ;(

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

CD NYC, I have not heard back from Lauren or Renne, maybe I e-mailed them too late. Let me know if you are able to reach them and if they still have time to do something on Sunday :wacko:

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Gaby, I just sent LTP a message through another site. Hopefully, they can find a way to get in contact with you.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

CDN: I am so jealous of your mini-TTC GTG :blackeye: , hope you have a great time. You must put me up when I come! :devil: (Joke- I'm sure it was you who posted about family/people inviting themselves just because you live in the City)
So why did we take the SI again? Did it actually 'DO' anything? At the moment I'm zen about the 2WW, I think because I was so upset last cycle I'm a bit burnt out. Thanks for asking about my eye; it is still sore and I can't wear contact until my check up on Thursday. I am so sick of my glasses already I have tension headaches. I wish you so much luck for a BFP, it would be wonderful and so deserved. ***Dust***

AFM: I'm somthing DPO - probably 6 days. It was a busy day - we installed our last stove and I grouted the hallway. Whoo hoo. 2 more jobs done. We spent about 2 hours in B&Q looking at paint colours and have thrown a hissy fit. It seems that the masses love really crap colours so we will bite the bullet and go for farrrow & ball. Luckily there is a bank holiday coming up so we can get 10% off - we will need it! I'm going to try not to test - there is no point, is there?
In other news I have pre-cancerous cells (cervix), well I have had ever since I was 16. So I now have 6 monthly biopsys, at one appointment about a year ago I mentioned some breakthrough bleeding I had at the time (not any more, unless we count last months bleeding at 4DPO) and my Gyne referred me for an investigative ultrasound. Well I got my appointment today - Great! the bad news is the date is on our wedding anniversary! BOOOOO I will ring them to see if they have another date that isn't a million days away if they don't, I will keep it. :(sad I also have my regular appointment next month for my next biopsy but I am really thinking about cancelling it - they seem to be getting more and more painful and it takes so much longer to recover I don't know if I want to go through it. Plus do I want them messing with my cervix if I am TTC? Plus plus, I don't want any treatment until and if we conceive because of the possible (small %) of issues arising. Not to mention that I really really want to be knocked up by then.....

It is going to be really weird going to the maternity hospital for an ultrasound - but there will be no baby, just possible cysts ;( :nono: ;( Double boo. And I bet there wil be loads of pregnant mommas there and barren old me.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hey everyone! :wavey:

So I am at a conference for work, but wanted to pop in and say I had the shortest cycle in the universe this month! I have been having 25 day cyles for about 6 months, then last month had a 27 day cycle despite having EW on CDs 13/14 and usually having a 10-11 day LP :?: , and then THIS month I had EW on CDs 10-11 and sure enough, AF arrived on CD 22! :o Really now, a 21 day cycle?!? That is ridiculous!

I am planning to temp this month because it is so TEMPting to chart :rodent: , so wish me luck. Forgot the thermometer, so I will start when I get home on CD 2/3. Still not planning to stop using protection until next month, but next "month" apparently could be in three weeks :rolleyes:

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

DC-So excited for you (but sorry about the sucky insurance)!!!!!! Hope that the IUI does the trick and I am glad that you have a path forward!

Steal-Ugh! So sorry for the cervix drama. Hope you can reschedule your appointment for a better time and that it does well. That is quite the OPK collection. Smiley face are totally the way to go:-)

KTP-Hope that the surgery went well and you are in the clear!

Ryan-Hope that you are doing well and keeping your spirits up! I hate computers too!

CDN, LTP the one tube wonders:-) Hope that you are doing well, feeling great, and ready to re-enter the TTC realm!

DD- :eek: :bigsmile: I knew you couldn't stay away:-) Hope your stay here is short and sweet.

Charbie-Hope that you are doing great.

Parrot-Welcome back!

Brightlight-long time no see!

What's old is new-welcome (though I wish PS as a whole wasn't so into log-in pseudonyms, it gets very confusing)

Dragonfly :wavey:

I know I missed people, but hugs to all. it seems like a longtime since we had some BFPs, so I hope to see a huge string of them soon--they seem to come in waves:-)

On my end-I am in the thick of completing the adoption paperwork AND work is INSANE, like beyond crazy. I worked until after 9:30 4 nights this week! So not ok! I am hoping to find a more low-key, or even part-time job before we have a bebe or welcome a child through adoption.

On the TTC front, we're pretty chill. I feel much more relaxed. I don't think we hit the window at all this month and I am totally ok. Next month, we're going to try to do better but mostly just to have fun:-)

XOXO-bella

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Dreamer: Don't knock the shorter cycles. So has your DH conned you into any BD'ing 'training' yet?

Bella: Hi honey. Your job sucks a bit a the moment; I'm sorry about that. It is not surprising that sexy time suffered this month. Well done for getting through your paperwork. It must feel great to be so pro-active.

AFM: I think I'm about 8DPO and for the first time ever I have no interest in testing. In fact I feel anti-testing. I'm feeling a little defeatist about the whole thing. :blackeye:

Good luck to all.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hi Ladies,

KTF: I hope you're recovering nicely by now and that the surgery was successful and relatively easy. Hopefully that will be your last hurdle.

DCGator: I'm so excited for you that you guys have decided to move forward. BOO insurance--what's their deal? It's so frustrating that they are questioning your doctor, who knows you well and has been along for this ride. I'm looking forward to hearing how it all goes for you guys.

Dreamer: A little jealous of the short cycles! My cycles mysteriously jumped to much longer ones as soon as we started trying... so now instead of having 12 chances for success this year, we're down to 10. I feel like my middle school science teacher is sitting on a throne of lies about the birds and bees. Still, if you have tough cycles it's not that fun to deal with AF that much more often.

Bella: I'm SO excited for your adoption plans and can't wait to meet your little one, even if only virtually. How long do they think the whole process will take? I'm looking forward to reading all about it. I feel like it would be Murphy's Law for work to be crazy when there's much more important paperwork to be done... Excited for your brother and SIL too! What a happy ending.

Steal: Love the factoid, especially since I was the girl throwing her legs up in the air shouting "swim! swim!" It really ruins the mood but we've been on a mission hoping for an early summer due date. I'm sorry you're feeling a bit discouraged and that now you have to deal with this cervical trouble.

CDNinNYC: Happy belated Thanksgiving! I was debating the SI route, but my feelings are mixed, and the experiences of you and Steal this month make me lean a little closer to no... But still I'll be interested to hear how it works for you--maybe it will be the surprise magic bullet. (I also secretly feel like twins would be fun and know there's some support that SI is helpful--I know I'm likely delusional re: twins but it would give me the perfect reason to take a year off b/c we would have a tough time swinging childcare for two. My stipend would not nearly cover it.)

~~~~
Over here I'm either 5 or 6DPO. I had a two days of positive OPKs CD17 and 18 and we gave the babymaking our best shot. We were successful both those days, but CD19 was one of my marathon days at school and I kid you not my husband was lying on the floor when I got home at 9:30 murmuring "I can't do it... I just can't do it." It was funny and I was both frustrated and relieved--I know we've been somewhat singularly focused during my allegedly fertile days which can be exhausting, but I also feel like I'm racing the due date clock. If this month is a no go, I'll feel more pressure next month for a supposed late July due date, and after that the pressure will be off b/c every due date for the next 9 months would be really inconvenient. We'll keep trying but I will be pretty anxious to figure out how it will all work school-wise. How type A do I sound?!?! HA!
Right now I'm across the country for a conference and staying with my BIL and his family. I'm trying to think of every plausible non-baby excuse to not drink, because we usually have a couple of good bottles of wine out here. Shockingly, they have not asked "the question," which they're infamous for, so I feel like my husband may have mentioned that we're trying to keep it comfortable for me. Mixed feelings about that... but grateful to not have to blush and stutter "I don't know" if my BIL had said, "Are you knocked up?"
Alright, my little nephews just busted down my bedroom door... Dust to you all, especially anyone I missed!
Good luck for a BFP :)) .
About the vino avoidance. The classic trick is "I'm on anti-biotics", if it's family and they get nosey, break out the old chestnut "Yes, it's a darn UTI" if you have to use this more than once - say "it is so annoying!" but the Dr. said it is just one of those things.
But I gave up on avoiding the booze and coffee (I'm sure there is a double negative in there somewhere :read: ) in the DPO stages because each time I abstained AF arrived anyway and even if I did get a BFP, the baby uses its own yolk sac until then so as long as you don't channel Courtney Love you and possible baby will be A. OK.
:wavey:
Re: The Official TTC Thread!
Just don't channel Courtney Love... LOVESIT! Will do my best to avoid hitting the pipe today. :)
Re: The Official TTC Thread!
DC: Sorry about all of the insurance headaches and the crazy work hours. Glad you and DH are going to get the process started this week regardless and hopefully the first time will be a success.
Steal: Bummer about the biopsies and the scheduling issues with the ultrasound. Though it was for the bleeding, might be fun to get a look at the inside lady parts and be reassured that they are looking well. :D
Dreamer: One month away, so exciting!!!
Bella: Congrats on getting the adoption process officially started. :appl: Now that you are pursuing that option, you never know, a surprise BFP might just come your way.
Moxie: Sounds like you were quite successful this month, good luck holding out to test. I second Steal that as long as you are doing things in moderation, you shouldn't feel the need to abstain from wine alltogether. The major organs form weeks 4-8, well timed to start after a missed period or for the PS types, 12-14 dpo once you get your BFP, so don't stress too much about it.
AFM: CD30 and Fertility Friend doesn't feel like a friend!!! I thought O was around cd 17-19, then I had a temp dip CD 24 so FF called that my O day and my temp has really come up the past few days, so FF changed my O day to CD 26. I have no idea what to make of it all, so I guess I will have to wait and see how long the cycle lasts and calculate backwards assuming I have a normal leuteal phase.
Re: The Official TTC Thread!
Moxie: The baby is not connected to your blood supply until 21 DPO so you can safely have a glass of wine during the 2ww!
Hi to everyone else!
Re: The Official TTC Thread!
ModernS: Bummer about the crappy crosshairs on FF - defo Fertility Frenemy this cycle :cheeky: . Sometimes I'm glad I don't temp. I hope you were covered either way. Good luck for a BFP.
In other news....I think a snail just overtook me. Seriously guys, this thread is moving soooooooooooooo slow. If it gets any slower I might actually have to get a real life hobby. If I start gluing macaroni to stuff you know I will have you guys to blame. :bigsmile:
AFM: Possibly 9DPO, possibly not. Still not testing; really I haven't even been nearly tempted. Que sera sera and all that jazz. I rang the hospital about my ultrasound but they are closed Mondays. Hopefully they can help me tomorrow.
Re: The Official TTC Thread!
Happy Monday Ladies,
For those of you not working today (in the US) I hope you are enjoying your day off. For those of you hanging in there with me on the job, hopefully the day will fly by!
Gaby - Thanks for the well wishes. I will get into all the details below. I hope you enjoyed your time in NYC this weekend. That is also very exciting about the accupuncture. I really hope it does the trick for you!
Steal - Aww, you are not the peanut gallery. You are more like a PS BFF :bigsmile: LMOL on the dead mouse foot :lol: , but if it works, why not :rolleyes: Congrats on getting to the 2WW. I am sorry that the OPK's were such a pain to read, but at least they faded out so now you know for sure that you did O. I have also heard about the B vitamins, so maybe that and the soy did it's good work on ya. I am really sorry about the pre-cancerous cells. That just plain old sucks. But, I have everything crossed for you this month, and hopefully if you get KU, you will be able to avoid all the appointments and go to the OB ward of the hospital for your growing babe. Good luck hun and hang in there, only a couple more days to test, ok? Just keep those happy thoughts!
Dragonfly - Sorry about the incorrect assumption. I guess I am not sure what to tell you on the wacky cycle this month, other than sometimes you just have a goofy one. Hopefully this month will be better for you.
CDN - Thanks for the happy thoughts on the IUI. I have my fingers crossed too :wink2: I'm sorry to hear about your insurance issues, what a PITA. But, hopefully it will all get taken care of soon. I hope that you got your third elevated temp and your sustained O, and if so, welcome to the 2WW. Fingers crossed for a repeat jerkstore performance!
Dreamer - Sounds like one of those off months. Although my cycle also balances its self out so when I have a longer cycle one month, my next cycle will usually be shorter. Hopefully next month your cycle will be right back on track. Have fun with the temping this month and welcome back :wink2:
Bella - Thanks for the happy thoughts! That's so very exciting for you guys on the adoption front. Hopefully the process goes quickly and you will be rewarded with an adorable (or more than one) LO soon. Boo for the long days. I know how you feel, last week was really rough for me too. Hopefully this week is better for you though. And if not, I think you have some time to find a new gig. As for this month, I ttink you have a great attitude about it, and like they say, you never know. Good luck!
Moxie - Yeah, insurance can be a pain, but I may try to fight it yet. We'll see...Congrats on timing BD'ing well. I know this whole TTC journey can seem like so much work, but in the end, when we get a LO, it's all worth it. But, it sounds like you and your DH hit all the important dates. I wouldn't worry to much about CD19, esp if you O'ed on CD17. I know its easier to say, but try not to stress too much about trying to perfectly time getting KU in two months. That is a LOT of stress your body probably doesn't need. Just keep thinking happy thoughts, and see how it goes. As for the non-drinking, I like the anitbiotic excuse, but the last month or two I have been just saying the heck with it and going for a drink or two during the 2WW. I think you need to live your life and keep going, you know? Good luck in the 2WW, and hopefully you can be a jerkstore!
Modern - Thanks for the well wishes. What a bummer about FF. It can kinda be a pain when it changes things on you, but hang in there. Perhaps the temp dip could be attributed to a implantation dip, and FF just didn't get it? Who knows. But, if you still don't have AF in the next week or so, I would be breaking out those HPT's. Good luck dear!
*****
AFM - I went to the doc this morning for monitoring, and it appears I have one really big follicle ready to go. (I also have one smaller one, but I don't know if that one will get big enough to do anything), so I am going to trigger tonight and go in on Wed for my IUI. I had some concerns b/c everybody always talks about having lots of eggies, but I asked the nurse and she assured me that I should be good with my one/two eggies. So, injection, here I come. Wish me luck!
To everybody in the 2WW, and it appears we have a few, lots of luck! For those embarking on your 2WW or IUI's this week, lots of luck to you too! :appl:
Go Eggie(s)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ETA: GO IUI JERKSTORE!
How do you trigger? Are you taking at-home meds?
Fingers crossed.
I'm trying to think of every plausible non-baby excuse to not drink, because we usually have a couple of good bottles of wine out here. Shockingly, they have not asked "the question," which they're infamous for, so I feel like my husband may have mentioned that we're trying to keep it comfortable for me. Mixed feelings about that... but grateful to not have to blush and stutter "I don't know" if my BIL had said, "Are you knocked up?"
Alright, my little nephews just busted down my bedroom door... Dust to you all, especially anyone I missed!
Good luck for a BFP :)) .
About the vino avoidance. The classic trick is "I'm on anti-biotics", if it's family and they get nosey, break out the old chestnut "Yes, it's a darn UTI" if you have to use this more than once - say "it is so annoying!" but the Dr. said it is just one of those things.
But I gave up on avoiding the booze and coffee (I'm sure there is a double negative in there somewhere :read: ) in the DPO stages because each time I abstained AF arrived anyway and even if I did get a BFP, the baby uses its own yolk sac until then so as long as you don't channel Courtney Love you and possible baby will be A. OK.
AFM - I went to the doc this morning for monitoring, and it appears I have one really big follicle ready to go. (I also have one smaller one, but I don't know if that one will get big enough to do anything), so I am going to trigger tonight and go in on Wed for my IUI. I had some concerns b/c everybody always talks about having lots of eggies, but I asked the nurse and she assured me that I should be good with my one/two eggies. So, injection, here I come. Wish me luck!
To everybody in the 2WW, and it appears we have a few, lots of luck! For those embarking on your 2WW or IUI's this week, lots of luck to you too! :appl:
:appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:
Oh wow, I am so excited for you. Even if you are being a teeny bit conservative, know that I am exciting my little socks off with hope for you guys.
Go Eggie(s)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ETA: GO IUI JERKSTORE!
How do you trigger? Are you taking at-home meds?
I lurk here from time to time - Good luck DC :) tons of PS dust for you :)
hahahhahhahahahha I hope that is a compliment, I'm taking it as one anyway! Thank you. That was such a sweet thing to say to me. It got me thinking, so how am I approaching this? I have dragged my (half dead with sleep depravation) husband into the bedroom for sexy time, taken more than 3 prego tests in one day, more than 4 OPK's in a day, I purposefully take the (ooops ) wrong aisle when I go shopping so I can look at all the baby products when I'm just popping in for milk, I worry so much that I'm not physically able to conceive and that it won't happen for us and find myself daydreaming about what it would be like to be a Mommy, every day.
So if you were looking for an impatient neurotic stork stalker as your doppelganger then I am your gal M'am :cheeky: .
I can't wait to see you on the TTC or even better 'do not pass go and go straight to' the preggo thread. You'll be a great mamma if that is what you guys decide.
I'm glad to know you're out there, reading. :wavey:
CDN: Happy drive-by hi! How are you doing?
DCgator: Soooooooooooo? Whats going on now?
KTF: I saw your name online recently and if you see this: I'm really wishing you the very best healing happy thoughts. Take care honey.
LTP: Happy B-Day! Hope you had a wonderful time. (BTW: I am soooooo jealous of your trip and GTG)
AFM: I rang the hospital and the Clerk was very nice. She laughed that it was our anniversary, saying of course we wouldn't want to be there that day. She said I could have a date in Jan, then she noticed a cancellation for mid-November. So I have the biopsy appointment the 1st week of Nov and the ultrasound the 3rd week. They should fit around AF. I have decided to keep the biopsy appointment; I hope it is the right decision. The good news is I have the same GYN! And she one of the private consultants at the maternity hospital; so if we do get so lucky to fall pregnant I can have her!
10DPO ish.
